- Darin @ DASI takes you thru some of the methods he uses in order to Open and utilize Scan Data in SolidWorks 3D CAD.
Whether you are trying to recreate a broken part or don't have the CAD data.......or are trying to design something to fit and existing space, SolidWorks can incorporate those Point Clouds and Mesh Models into the design process.
Probably, the most informative Solid tutorial I have ever seen on this topic!
Thank you so much 🙏🏼
Thank you so sososos much, ive been looking for this exact content for about 10hrs by now..
Outstanding presentation. Thank you for putting this together. It was very helpful to me.
Excellent information, more clarification on 3D data processing, thank you!
Thanks for this. I'll be doing something similar to these workflows and this is great info.
Really good informative content! Question....how does one deal with errors in the mesh on import to solidworks. Example....mesh has topological errors, can this be rectified with scan to 3D?
I watched this whole video than realized it’s 5yrs old….. I think it the info is still relevant 😅 regardless felt informative
Thanks
pls something more on Reverse engineering in Solidwork... please upload dedicated playlist regarding this topic..
Question for you. When you open an STL what open options are you usually using? Solidworks seams to default to graphics Body.
Hi, I have a large stl. around 2 000 000 meshes….
How I can transfer to solid body, so I can make holes and changes….on SW 2021….
Thanks and appreciate your time…
Alex
I've been looking into using 3D scanners for quality control/part inspection, but much much more importantly I do hobby antique boat restoration and would like something that I can scan a boat hulls. Do you have any recommendations for cheap and portable scanners I should be looking into? Thanks for the great video.
if you get an answer please include my name, I'd like to know, good luck with your hobby
I am unable to figure out how to get this curve wizard in 2020. Any thoughts?
The gear is not symmetric at all. Cool to see the features but that would work in to make a working gear
