just found your video. As soon as I saw the 3 spoke wheel I yield 'RR' mini gold strike then rotors. If he crashed that he may have salvage the front forks too. The boat should be a EZ 600 - 800 with out even trying. Good luck hunting
Happy to see a new video! Just found your channel and I've been loving the content. I just picked up an 83 XJ750 Seca as a project bike. First time I've tackled something like this and your videos are helping a lot.
I found it interesting in a video of yours awhile back where you mentioned your plan was to flip the bikes and turn it into a house. It is clear that you have been successful with that goal. It would be interesting if you made a video telling the story of how you used motorcycles as an investment vehicle to force appreciation and catapult to a house.
Well no I never did actually. Bikes have taken a backseat in my life now, I still do a couple from time to time but truth is I just bought my house the old fashioned way, by getting a good govt job, applying for a mortgage, and moving in.
Gotcha. the bikes just kinda supplement your income. I thought you litterally fixed and flipped a shit ton of bikes, saved the profite and put money down that way.
I have a xj550. Just rebuilt the carbs with your video . Found plugged jets replaces those. Now it only stays running with out choke but the rpms for it to stay running needs to be 2500 then dies out. Won't start back up with out starting fluid.
Id take another crack at those carbs. Be sure to set the float heights, no vacuum leaks, airbox and intake all buttoned up tight. Check your jet sizes make sure they are the stock size
Thank. Went through all carbs found a sticky slide. Cleaned it . One comes down a little faster then the rest. Should I replace that one? It did fire up smoother then before and could bring idle more to about 1800 . With out choke. Should I try a wet test too? Or is the measurements one good. And I did bench sync them
im working on an 1980 Suzuki gs 750. had no compression on cylinder 4. took off valve cover and saw it had a broken rocker arm. My question is, do you think I should just replace them or should i take the head completely off and see if there's more damage
Id go ahead and just replace the damaged part, thats probably the cause of your problem. Button it up and see how that improves your compression. If its still low, well not much time/work wasted
Max, you don't say why you need slide shims, what does a slide shim do, and what made you decide that you needed them. Not all of us are on your level!
Talks about all his free time, first upload in two months... We need more man your videos are too damn helpful and straight to the point
Another cool video Mr Max. Thanks for making it :)
Great Video! Wish we could see more of you! Learned how to work on my XJs from all your videos!

Great bike! Ive owned many of them. You should find it simple enough to get back on the road
I really hope so! I have a fairly good grasp on the mechanical aspects. The electrical is what I'm working on figuring out at the moment.
3:30 - Brilliant

Will do . What should be the best way to check float height or is there away to check measure it.
Yeah I have a couple videos up on it
If this helps it's a 82 550 maxim.

Nice vid but where do you buy the new Parts for the carburators
Ebay or jetsrus.com
Well did it do better? Nice beard man seems farm life is really working for you.
can you tell me more about those slide shims? Been having an issue with my xj650 carburetors
They enrichen the mixture in the mid-range between the slow and main jets. I go into it in greater detail in my carb jetting video
mrmaxstorey right on I'll check it out thanks
Hey I got a 1980 yamaha maxim xj650 and can't find the right side cover for the battery

To the high point of the float right?
yes
how many bike have you got mr maxstorey

Do you want a free '03 suzuki gsx600F? Needs plastics and tires. It's considered scrap in california.
Sure that'd be great but I live in MD now. Why dont you part it out? You'll get about $1000 out of it on ebay
Max,

Well I go into it in detail on my carb rejetting video, but short answer it enrichens the mid throttle range between the slow and main jet
OK, I'm sure I've seen all your vids, guess I forgot!
