I love that John goes into a loop of self-awareness about his complains, apologetic and immediately asking people what they expected and then tell them to screw off.
Idk, I kinda feel like he dosent enjoy any of them now or it gives off him doing CZcams for work and not bc he actually enjoys it. But also I just am not used to being around complainitive (even in joke) people. It personally makes me not want to watch games if the person playing seems irritated or picks apart the game bc it kinda distracts. But I get thats kinda his personality not so much him raging against the game

maybe its a metaphor about the carrot and the stick. you need to endure the stick to get the carrot. although the stick's physical form in this game isn't so stick-y.

This game feels like if u hired 2 people to work on it, told one to make a serious game, but told the other guy its a comedy horror game. Aand u didnt allow them to communicate with eachother at all

Delivery guy is repeating "I'm sorry", which. Well, he did deliver an intruder in your house. I'm really fond of the weirdness of this game! Both the bizarre/unsettling atmosphere and the fact that it obviously doesn't take itself seriously. The main character's behaviour was part of the experience, I think: everything is bizarre, from the invaders to his focus on mundane tasks. Kind of like some of these Junji Ito characters who insists on "acting normally" when their cousin is doing black magic or their houses are fusing together? Nothing makes sense, and the fact that it doesn't is part of the unsettling atmosphere.
I agree, its strangely enjoyable despite itself like John said. It's just so bizarre that it's gotta be on purpose but the uncertainty keeps you on edge lmao. And it did give John one good scare!

It's so similar to when the cardboard popup in Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion got him. Just perfectly placed after a chase sequence, taking that tension and snapping it in your face.
this game feels like a game someone tried to make as a serious horror game early in development but realized it wasn't looking good, so they decided to not make it a serious game but a very silly weird one instead,making the best of what they had, and it kinda works lol,not sure if I've ever seen a game like this. i will say the part with the guy peeking his head around the wall was a good scare,caught me off guard.
Omg I feel like you hit the nail right on the head! It seems that the pink lady and brother's models are made by the dev who just started 3D modelling, but got really frustrated that the models doesn't look right so they just paste stiff looking hair and copy pasted the faces
It doesn't work at all, actually, but the fact that the only people suffering from it are the ones playing it and not those of us watching it does make it a *little* better.

Looking at the opening screen made me think this game would be about someone living in your house without you knowing, not only was it NOT that, I couldn't even tell what this game was about even after watching the video 💀💀 i think John calling it "Chore simulator" was pretty accurate though. I'm only slightly disappointed it wasn't what i was hoping for.
That’s what I thought when I first saw everybody’s thumbnails! I was so excited for it to be like this really ominous “person living in your house and watching you”, almost like a Paranormal Activity type game where you set up cameras or something. Woulda been neat!

I discovered John wolfe two years back when I started my thesis. Between my day job and studies at night I found myself looking to watch something that was just easy and entertaining. I bumped into his CZcams channel from watching game play though and I have finally watched all his past videos as well as some twitch streams... I don't think he realizes how much watching his entertaining comments and remarks has kept me laughing through all these hectic years. I'm a South African and I still watch his new videos and watch his streams late at night because of the time difference. Thanks John. For all the entertainment. Keep up the fantastic work 👍

By far one of the strangest yet most unique games I've ever seen. John's reactions to the game's oddities practically had me in tears! This is going down as one of my favorites.

The youtuber house tour videos would be great! You point out so many things during these videos that I wouldn't have even noticed, so it would be nice to have the perspective of some who's detail oriented.

By far one of the strangest yet most unique games I've ever seen. John's reactions to the game's oddities practically had me in tears! This is going down as one of my favorites.
