    No NFL team and no MLB team cities would probably be the safest route for the UFL to add teams

      I'd have to disagree here. The second most successful team, behind St Louis, is DC, and they have two NFL teams and two MLB teams within driving distance.

    Bring back the Tampa Bay Bandits and move the Guardians back to New York and they can have a rivalry with the N.J. Generals. The NY team could play at Citi Field or the New NYCFC stadium next to it.

    I think give it a couple seasons of success and then they will start by adding 2-4 teams. Till they get 16 teams

    • @DifferentTravels
      @DifferentTravels Před měsícem +3

      I think if they stay making money and make it to 16 which would be awesome I could see them having even more teams. All dependent on the money it makes

      @NostalgicSports48  Před měsícem

      Yeah I think when they are finically able to expanding it 2 teams at a time would work best, add 1 USFL and add one XFL team. And working your way up from there depending on finances

    • @NostalgicSports48
      @NostalgicSports48  Před měsícem

      @@DifferentTravelsagreed. It’s all about the finances on if they are able to do it or not. Would just take time and money going to new spots, and they would have to develop fanbases in each place that cares enough to show up and watch

      True success will be selling franchises and they made a deal with the government which allowed them to contract. If they sell a team this fall, adding 2 is 99.9% happening

    They need to find a city to replicate St.Louis success. their attendance is by far the best. Some of the other cities have bad attendance numbers.

    • @NostalgicSports48
      @NostalgicSports48  Před měsícem +2

      That’s definitely what they will be looking to do, St. Louis losing the rams have definitely helped the battlehawks support. It’s possible the UFL could try going to San Diego or Oakland where they both lost their NFL teams to try to get the same results. There’s a lot of variables

    Tulsa Twisters is such a good name...I'm very much looking forward to this league being the feeder system for the NFL...The Rock signed some sort of agreement with the CFL and I think it's only a matter of time before they take things overseas...Ala Europa/World League
    Also: Oakland and San Diego might be good cities for expansion

    Before expansion, they need to bring back some of the brands they removed: Orlando/Tampa/Philly/New Jersey would all be on my short list. Columbus/Canton over Pittsburgh imho. 2 at a time for the first two years to get to 12 then year three add a west division.

    After reviewing all the cities from all 3 vids, there's definitely some good arguments for some, and others I'm still unsure about.
    I agree that teams should be revived first before expanding out, so bringing back Seattle, NOLA, Philly and New Jersey would be the way to go there. After that, the max the league could go is about 20 teams for a 14-game schedule (any further and there's going to be too much overlap with the NFL). So my Top 10 choices would be:
    1-4. San Diego, San Jose, Phoenix, and Portland to round out a West Division with Seattle. LA is too much a fair-weather city, with very popular teams in other sports.
    5. Denver to form the Central Division with St. Louis, Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston.
    6. Chicago for the North Division with Michigan, DC, Philly & New Jersey.
    7-8. Atlanta & Orlando in the South Division with Memphis, Birmingham, and New Orleans.
    9. Alternate #1: Milwaukee, WI
    10. Alternate #2: Columbus, OH

    Doesn't the taxes in California, and New York prevent the UFL from having a franchise there? Kinda sad since Both LA franchise, Oakland, and San Francisco were part of both leagues.

    • @bronzeguy9839
      @bronzeguy9839 Před 10 dny

      Why would California and New York taxes prevent teams from being there? There’s a jock tax in every state that has a state tax, whether they’re the home team or visiting team.
