    I totally like this. This is when game journalism actually meant something! You could actually learn how to get better at games from their content.

    Great issue. I love going through these old issues...feels like a small time travel trip to better days. Beautiful cover too.

    Hahahha.. I had this! I was subscribed to it as well.. who would have thought these games/magazines would become classic collecting pieces. Awesome!

    Totally LOVE this❤ please keep em coming!! Takes me back! I was subscribed to GamePro from 94- 99 had all the issues and wish I still did. Virtual Boy was at the Sears on display where had a choice of getting a Saturn or PS1 I chose ps1 but now I only own a Saturn and N64 from that generation! Lol

    You are turning into Classic Gaming Quarterly. I have this magazine and most of the Gamepros/EGMs/Next Generations from the 90's. Some of the best memories I have from childhood were getting these in the mail every month. EGM was my favorite.

    Its fun flipping through old comic books from the 80s and 90s and seeing all the old game ads too. Primal rage is my top favorite arcade cool seeing the old guide

    I love seeing these old magazines! Especially as we had completely different ones in the UK

      I didn’t even think of that. Gamepro was a great magazine.

      @@AC-LING666 we did, but the American ones are completely different to what we had. I just find the ads and articles in those ones interesting as we never got them

    I love old magazines like these! I’ve been picking up a few Nintendo Powers here and there. I frame them and hang them in the stairwell going down into the basement game room.

    • @KillerArcadeGames
      @KillerArcadeGames  Před měsícem +1

      That’s an awesome idea. If I had more wall space in the shed I’d do that!

    That cover is in way better shape than mine! The cover is tearing away from the staples, has tape on it. But that's what taking these to school everyday did to them.
    I got the Virtual Boy brand new with Mario's Tennis AND a copy of Wario Land... for $50 lol. They were being phased out at Toys R Us. So I still have it and the original system box. But yeah... it was neat but the ALL RED screen was horrible for your eyes! Barely played it.

    • @KillerArcadeGames
      @KillerArcadeGames  Před měsícem +1

      You’re probably the only person I know that had one! What sucks is all of my magazines were in great shape. I had no brothers or sisters to mess them up. I kept them in a nice bookcase. Then my parents tossed them when I moved without asking me.

      @@KillerArcadeGames That's tragic!! So much great stuff in those time capsules. The covers, the ads, and as you were pointing out... the PRICES. When the price of TWO SNES games cost more than the system itself.

    Wow, I remember that magazine, it had that number with the cover of Ki and some others like Judge Dredd. The crazy thing is that they came to my small country, Uruguay. What I don't remember is if they were translated into Spanish, I was very little and there was a store very close and I also bought Nintendo magazines there, they were called Club Nintendo here gg

    • @KillerArcadeGames
      @KillerArcadeGames  Před měsícem

      Wow I had no idea they were ever released outside of the US.

    Crazy nostalgia to see these ads again, I was a subscriber too. Whatever happened to Scary Larry? back then it felt like reviewers were real people who could have real opinions.

      @@KillerArcadeGames Glad you did it ! We, old gamers (50+, here) like « gold old stuff » and this magazine is !
      I still remember « dreaming » on previews (including import : Japanese or US games , for me) or even tests : « hello Neo Geo » ! xD Definitely very good times, so glad I could live them ! ;)
