      Jesus Never Calls Himself God
The Bible (in spite of being changed and adulterated over time) contains many verses in which Jesus speaks of God as a separate person to himself. Here are just a few of them:
When a man addressed Jesus as “Good Teacher”, he replied “Why do you call me good? No one is good except the one God.’’ [Mark 10:18]
In another instance he says: “I can’t do anything by myself. Whatever I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just. I don’t seek my own will but the will of the one who sent me.” [John 5:30]
Jesus speaks of God as a separate being to himself: I’m going up to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God. [John 20:17]
In this verse he affirms that he was sent by God: This is eternal life: to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you sent. [John 17:3]
If Jesus was God he would have told people to worship him, but he did the opposite and disapproved anyone worshipping him: And in vain they worship Me [Matthew 15:9]
If Jesus claimed to be God than there should be hundreds of verses in the Bible which would have mentioned it. But there is not a single verse in the entire Bible in which Jesus says I am God, worship me

Therefore, abdools consider the Koran (WORD of Allah) to be eternal. But doesn't it make Jesus who is also the WORD of Allah eternal? Moreover, it affirms that Jesus never died, never sinned, was born from Allah's Spirit and gave life to inanimate objects. Moreover, abdools say that the anti-christ will come on the last day not anti-muhammed or anti-allah. What else confirmation you want from the Koran about the divinity of Jesus? @IIOO The Bible says that Jesus denied he is God
Jesus spoke to a man who had called him ‘good,’ asking him, ‘Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.’ (Luke 18:19)
And he said to him, ‘Why are you asking me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.’ (Matthew 19:17)
Jesus did not teach people that he was God
If Jesus had been telling people that he was God, he would have complimented the man. Instead, Jesus rebuked him, denying he was good, that is, Jesus denied he was God.
The Bible says that God is greater than Jesus
‘My Father is greater than I’ (John 14:28)
‘My father is greater than all.’ (John 10:29)
Jesus cannot be God if God is greater than him. The Christian belief that the Father and son are equal is in direct contrast to the clear words from Jesus.
Jesus never instructed his disciples to worship him
‘When you pray, say Our Father which art in heaven.’ (Luke 11:2)
‘In that day, you shall ask me nothing. Whatsoever you ask of the Father in my name.’ (John 16:23)
‘The hour cometh and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father seeketh such to worship him.’ (John 4:23)
If Jesus was God, he would have sought worship for himself
Since he didn’t, instead he sought worship for God in the heavens, therefore, he was not God.

@IIOO The Arabic word ‘Islam’ means ‘submission’, and is derived from a word meaning ‘peace’. As such, the religion of Islam teaches that in order to achieve true peace of mind and surety of heart, one must submit to God and live according to His Divinely revealed Law..
Islam is not a new religion because ‘submission to the will of God’, i.e. Islam, has always been the only acceptable religion in the sight of God. For this reason, Islam is the true ‘natural religion’, and it is the same eternal message revealed through the ages to all of God’s prophets and messengers. The main message of all the prophets has always been that there is only One True God and He alone is to be worshipped. These prophets start with Adam and include Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon, John the Baptist, and Jesus, peace be upon them all. God says in the Holy Quran:
“We did not send before you (O Muhammad) any messenger but We revealed to him: ‘none has the right to be worshipped except I, therefore worship Me.’” (Quran 21:25)

***Does the word Christianity appear in the Bible?
After Jesus' departure, those that believed in him were called by others; "christian." It tends to be others that label the believers & followers of The God's Prophets: "ians," i.e. Abrahamians, christians, muhammadians, etc. If one pays attention, the actual believers/followers of any of The God's Prophets don't name themselves anything, they are "believers in The God, His Revelations, His Prophets, His Angels, etc. But at the completion of The God's Religion, i.e. He sent all that He was going to send, of Prophets, Revelations, Signs, so His Religion is complete & "He" named the believers, for The Prophets are one, with one & the same message, to believe in The God, don't associate anything/one in worship with Him, & do not take any other as god, so, these believers in all His Prophets & all His Revelations, He named them "Muslims," i.e. those who submit to Him & has given His Religion a title; "Islam," i.e. peace:

@IIOO To a Christian, God had to take human form to understand temptation and human suffering, but the concept is not based on any clear words of Jesus. In contrast, God does not need to be tempted and suffer in order to be able to understand and forgive man’s sins, for He is the all knowing Creator of man. This is expressed in the verse:
Exodus 3:7 “And the Lord said: ‘I have surely seen the affliction of My people that are in Egypt, and I have heard their cry because of their taskmasters; for I know their pains.’”
God forgave sin before Jesus’ appearance, and He continues to forgive without any assistance. When a believer sins, he may come before God in sincere repentance to receive forgiveness. Indeed, the offer to humble oneself before God and be saved is made to all humankind.
Isaiah 45:21-22, “And there is no God else beside Me; a just God and a Savior; there is none beside Me. Look to Me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is none else.”
Biblically, people can receive forgiveness of sins through sincere repentance sought directly from God. This is true at all times and in all places. There has never been a need for the so-called intercessionary role Jesus plays in attaining atonement. The facts speak for themselves. There is no truth to the Christian belief that Jesus died for our sins and salvation is only through Jesus. What about the salvation of people before Jesus? Jesus’ death brings neither atonement from sin, nor is it in any way a fulfillment of biblical prophecy.

@@christianfrommuslim The Arabic word ‘Islam’ means ‘submission’, and is derived from a word meaning ‘peace’.

Allah” is simply the Arabic word for “God” - and there is only One God. Let there be no doubt - Muslims worship the God of Noah, Abraham, Moses, David and Jesus - peace be upon them all. However, it is certainly. true that Jews, Christians and Muslims all have different concepts of Almighty God. For example, Muslims - like Jews - reject the Christian beliefs of the Trinity and the Divine Incarnation. This, however, does not mean that each of these three religions worships a different God - because, as we have already said, there is only One True God. To every messenger God reveled book like torah to moses.....bible to Jesus pbuh and finally Quran to Mohammed pbuh..........but book revealed to Jesus and moses..was for the people of that time .....
Quran is the last book revealed by God ,,,,to which all humanity should follow.....
In Quran God said that islam will be only religion accepted by him on day of judgement.....

Quran confirms the books that were sent before it, including the Jewish Torah and the Gospels of Jesus. It became the book of guidance for all humankind. Quran abrogates all scriptures before it. It contains signs of God’s greatness, miracles, parables, and lessons. The Quran explains the names and attributes of God and His creation. It calls us to believe in God, His angels, His Books, His Messengers, the Last Day, and in in fate or the divine decree.
“And We have sent down to you the Book (the Quran) as an exposition of everything, guidance, a mercy, and glad tidings for those who have submitted themselves.” (Quran 16:89)

He sent all that He was going to send, of Prophets, Revelations, Signs, so His Religion is complete & "He" named the believers, for The Prophets are one, with one & the same message, to believe in The God, don't associate anything/one in worship with Him, & do not take any other as god, so, these believers in all His Prophets & all His Revelations, He named them "Muslims," i.e. those who submit to Him & has given His Religion a title; "Islam," i.e. peace:

This, however, does not mean that each of these three religions worships a different God - because, as we have already said, there is only One True God. Judaism, Christianity and Islam all claim to be “Abrahamic Faiths”, and all of them are also classified as “monotheistic.” However, Islam teaches that other religions have, in one way or another, distorted and nullified a pure and proper belief in Almighty God by neglecting His true teachings and mixing them with man-made ideas.

After Jesus' departure, those that believed in him were called by others; "christian." Shirk means associating someone with Allah Almighty or you can say partnership. It is the opposite of oneness of Allah (SWT) that is Tawheed. The Quran calls people to accept the oneness of Allah Almighty and firmly prohibits people from associating partners with His personality or attributes. As shirk is the major sin that will never to be forgiven so it is important for us to know about the seriousness and different acts of shirk that we are committing in our daily life but we don’t realize.

      No Evidence
No 7th Century historical evidence for Mohammed of Islam, being the 7th Century there should be plenty of evidence
      Definitely no 7th Century Qurans
No archeological evidence for a cosmopolitan Mecca in Arabia in the 7th Century
As of yet no Muslim or even Muslim Scholars and Historians have found any evidence for the above

MUHAMMAD (PBUH) PROPHESISED IN THE BOOK OF DEUTERONOMY: .
Almighty God speaks to Moses in Book of Deuteronomy chapter 18 verse 18:
"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and I will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."
The Christians say that this prophecy refers to Jesus (pbuh) because Jesus (pbuh) was like Moses (pbuh). Moses (pbuh) was a Jew, as well as Jesus (pbuh) was a Jew. Moses (pbuh) was a Prophet and Jesus (pbuh) was also a Prophet.
If these two are the only criteria for this prophecy to be fulfilled, then all the Prophets of the Bible who came after
Moses (pbuh) such as Solomon, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Malachi, John the Baptist, etc. (pbut) will
fulfill this prophecy since all were Jews as well as prophets.
However, it is Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who is like Moses (pbuh):
      i)
Both had a father and a mother, while Jesus (pbuh) was born miraculously without any male intervention.
      [Mathew 1:18 and Luke 1:35 and also Al-Qur'an 3:42-47]
      ii)
Both were married and had children. Jesus (pbuh) according to the Bible did not marry nor had children.
      iii)
Both died natural deaths. Jesus (pbuh) has been raised up alive. (4:157-158)
Muhammad (pbuh) is from among the brethren of Moses (pbuh). Arabs are brethren of Jews. Abraham (pbuh) had two sons: Ishmail and Isaac (pbut). The Arabs are the descendants of Ishmail (pbuh) and the Jews are the descendants of Isaac (pbuh).
      Words in the mouth:
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was unlettered and whatever revelations he received from Almighty God he repeated them verbatim.
"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."
      [Deuteronomy 18:18]
      iv)
Both besides being Prophets were also kings i.e. they could inflict capital punishment. Jesus (pbuh) said, "My kingdom is not of this world." (John 18:36).
      v)
Both were accepted as Prophets by their people in their lifetime but Jesus (pbuh) was rejected by his
people. John chapter 1 verse 11 states, "He came unto his own, but his own received him not."
      iv)
Both brought new laws and new regulations for their people. Jesus (pbuh) according to the Bible did not bring any new laws. (Mathew 5:17-18).
      2.
It is Mentioned in the book of Deuteronomy chapter 18:19
"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not harken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him."
      3.
Muhammad (pbuh) is prophesised in the book of Isaiah:
It is mentioned in the book of Isaiah chapter 29 verse 12:
"And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned."
When Archangel Gabrail commanded Muhammad (pbuh) by saying Iqra - "Read", he replied, "I am not learned".
      4.
prophet Muhammad (pbuh) mentioned by name in the old testament:
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is mentioned by name in the Song of Solomon chapter 5 verse 16:
"Hikko Mamittakim we kullo Muhammadim Zehdoodeh wa Zehraee Bayna Jerusalem."
"His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters
      of Jerusalem."
In the Hebrew language im is added for respect. Similarely im is added after the name of Prophet Muhammad
(pbuh) to make it Muhammadim. In English translation they have even translated the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as "altogether lovely", but in the Old Testament in Hebrew, the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is yet present.
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in the New Testament:
      Al-Qur'an Chapter 61 Verse 6:
"And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said, 'O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me and giving glad tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmed.' But when he came to them with clear signs, they said, 'This is evident sorcery!' "
All the prophecies mentioned in the Old Testament regarding Muhammad (pbuh) besides applying to the Jews also hold good for the Christians.
      1.
John chapter 14 verse 16: "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever."
      2.
Gospel of John chapter 15 verse 26:
"But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which
proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me."
      3.
Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 7:
"Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not
come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you".
"Ahmed" or "Muhammad" meaning "the one who praises" or "the praised one" is almost the translation of the
Greek word Periclytos. In the Gospel of John 14:16, 15:26, and 16:7. The word 'Comforter' is used in the English translation for the Greek word Paracletos which means advocate or a kind friend rather than a comforter.
Paracletos is the warped reading for Periclytos. Jesus (pbuh) actually prophesised Ahmed by name. Even the
Greek word Paraclete refers to the Prophet (pbuh) who is a mercy for all creatures.
Some Christians say that the Comforter mentioned in these prophecies refers to the Holy Sprit. They fail to realise
that the prophecy clearly says that only if Jesus (pbuh) departs will the Comforter come. The Bible states that the
Holy Spirit was already present on earth before and during the time of Jesus (pbuh), in the womb of Elizabeth, and again when Jesus (pbuh) was being baptised, etc. Hence this prophecy refers to none other than Prophet
      Muhammad (pbuh).
      4.
Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 12-14:
"I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is
come, he will guide you unto all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me".
The Sprit of Truth, spoken about in this prophecy referes to none other than Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
NOTE: All quotations of the Bible are taken from the King James Version.

Bible, in the Gospel of John, Ch. No.10, Verse No.30, which does say… ‘I and my father are one’. But when you ask the Christian missionaries, that… ‘What is the context?’ I have not yet met a Christian missionary, who can tell you the context without opening the Bible. So for the context, ‘I and my father are one’ - you have to go to the Gospel of John, Ch. No.10, Verse No. 23, and I am quoting from my memory, that ‘Jesus walked into the temple, in Solomon’s porch’. Verse No. 24 says, and the Jews came around him and asked him. ‘How long does thou make us doubt? - If thou art the Christ, tell us plainly’. Verse No.25 says, ‘I told you, but you believe me not - the works that I do in my father’s name, - they bear witness of me. Verse No.26 says that, ‘you believe not because you are not my sheep, as I said unto you’. The Jews, they are asking Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) that ‘Why don’t you speak plainly?’. So he tells them that…‘Yes I am the Messiah - I have told you clearly, but because you are not my sheep, you don’t believe in me. Verse No.27 continues…Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) continues saying that… ‘My sheep - they hear my voice, and I know them - and they follow me. Verse No.28, that… ‘I give them eternal life - no man can pluck them out of my hand, and they shall not perish’. Verse No.29 says ‘My father who giveth to me, He is greater than all - No man can pluck them out of my father’s hand.******************* *********Then Verse No. 30 says, ‘I and my father are one’ - ‘Any person who has little bit sense can make out, ‘I and my father are one’ doesn’t mean one - as one person. It means one is purpose. Verse No.28 says, ‘No man can pluck them out of my hand - Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) says- ‘No man can pluck them out of my hand’. Verse No.29 is saying. ‘No man can pluck them out of my father’s hand’. Verse No.30 says ‘I and my father are one’ -In purpose. Both Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) and Almighty God - they are one in purpose. If I say that my father is a doctor… and he is a doctor… Alhamdulillah - Even I am a medical doctor. If I say, ‘I and my father are one’ - What does it mean? It means one in purpose - As medical profession, my father is a doctor - Even I am a doctor. It doesn’t mean that ‘I and my father are one’. It means my father is a medical doctor - even I am a medical doctor. ********************************
*******But Christians say ‘No.. No - it means ‘one’ - actual Unity. So we say… ‘Okay, you say actual unity… let us read further’. If you go ahead in the Gospel of John, Ch. No.17, Verse No.21, it says that, Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) said that… ‘Ye all of them are one - My father in me, and I in thee, we all are one’. ‘Does it mean that God Almighty, is in Jesus Christ… and Jesus Christ is in all his 12 disciples. So there will be 14 gods - Jesus Christ, God Almighty, and 12 disciples. The same ‘one’ is used there, and here. If you go to the source, the same word is used - If you go to the Greek… the same word is used - So does it mean you have 14 gods? And among those disiples, Judas was a traitor -. Even he is God? Thomas doubted Jesus Christ (peace be upon him ) - is he God? - ‘Peter’ - Jesus Christ says … ‘is satanic?’- Is he also God? No, - all of them, God Almighty - Jesus Christ and the Apostles, are one in purpose - they are same. Again if you go 2 verses ahead - Gospel of John, Ch. 17, Verse 23, says that, ‘I am in thee, and you are in me’… he tells the disciples. Does it make all them God? No! It means one in purpose. But then Christians will say, ‘I have quoted the first part… why don’t you quote after that… after Verse No.30 - Gospel of John Chapter 10. Lets go ahead - Gospel of John, Ch. No. 10, Verse No.31. says, ‘And Jews picked up stones again, to stone at Jesus (peace be upon him) Verse No. 32, says… ‘And Jesus (peace be upon him) asked them - for which of the good works of my father, do you stone me?’ Verse No. 33, says that…‘We don’t’ stone you for any good works, but because you blashpheme - being a man, you call yourself God - that is why we stone you’. Verbatim…I am reading from my memory - Any person who wants to check up, can check up. It is there in the Bible - Gospel of John, Ch. 10, Verse 23 onwards… I am quoting. So Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) gives the answer - the Jews say that see he is trying to blaspheme, calling himself ‘God’. Good riddance - they want to kill him - good riddance. The Christians say ooh! the Jews called him God Almighty - See they understood him correctly - for redemption. One wants for redemption - they are calling him God - the other group of people for good riddance. But the answer is given in the next verse - Verse no. 34, of John Ch. 10, Gospel of John, Ch. 10, says that…‘Is it not mentioned in your Scriptures that ye are gods? - and if the person to whom the word’ of God came … if he says… ‘god’ - the Scripture is not broken. If you check up in the Bible, in the Psalms, Ch. No. 82, Verse No.6, does say that, ‘Ye are gods’. So Jesus Christ gave the answer, that the person to whom the ‘Word’ of God came, if you call him ‘God’, it is not blaspheme. It is meaning that… they are one in purpose. Hope that answers the question.

@@greenzone7371 The Arabic word ‘Islam’ means ‘submission’, and is derived from a word meaning ‘peace’.

Beautiful interview. I read one of Ibn Warraq book "Leaving Islam" which is a very good compilation of many honest, thinking, and brave souls who left it after finding out for themselves what it intrinsically is ... in its ideology. It is well researched. His other books should also be well researched, well written, and a good read. If we do not have freedom of speech and freedom of thought ... both of which are virtually absent and even forbidden in the I slamic ideology ... there can be no freedom of action or independent free will, which is the essence and beauty of the God created humanity. When God created man in His own image and according to His likeness, God endowed man with a free will which even He will not violate. Man can freely think, freely speak, and freely act by himself. Man is fully independent and man is fully free. Man can freely choose to either believe or disbelieve God, to obey or disobey God, and to align his human will with God's divine will. An unlimited, omnipotent, glorious God will never ever force Himself upon man or any of His creatures for that is to lower Himself and dishonor His deity. Only one who is small will force others and attempt to enslave their thoughts, control their speech and negate their will.

@@youtubechannel3399 The Arabic word ‘Islam’ means ‘submission’, and is derived from a word meaning ‘peace’.

Every time this word is used the the Koran it means "one of".
Where allah PRAYS FOR the pedophile prophet, along with the angels and all the believers....

Further in Surah 21:17 Allah says if he wanted to take a wife or son he would have taken it from *"OURSELVES"* .... so the question here is, if there is none other like allah, who is the "ourselves" that he will take a wife or son from????
As for your accusations of the Bible being "adulterated", your fake God Allah himself admits that the Koran was in "shreds"... in the Koran...

In reviewing Ibn Warraq's compilation The Origins of the Koran, religious studies professor Herbert Berg has labelled him as "polemical and inconsistent" in his writing. Berg lauded the inclusion of the essay by Theodor Nöldeke, but panned the inclusion of William St. Clair Tisdall's as "not a particularly scholarly essay". He concluded "[i]t seems that Ibn Warraq has included some of the essays not on the basis of their scholarly value or their status as 'classics', but rather on the basis of their hostility to Islam. This does not necessarily diminish the value of the collection, but the reader should be aware that this collection does not fully represent classic scholarship on the Quran."[33]
In reviewing Ibn Warraq's essay in his Quest for the Historical Muhammad (2001) Fred Donner, a professor in Near Eastern studies, notes his lack of specialist training in Arabic studies, citing "inconsistent handling of Arabic materials," and unoriginal arguments, and "heavy-handed favoritism" towards revisionist theories and "the compiler's [i.e. Ibn Warraq's] agenda, which is not scholarship, but anti-Islamic polemic."[9] Anthropologist and historian Daniel Martin Varisco has criticized Ibn Warraq's book Defending the West: A Critique of Edward Said's Orientalism, writing that "This modern son of a bookseller imprints a polemical farce not worth the 500-plus pages of paper it wastes."[34]

Islam is not a new religion because ‘submission to the will of God’, i.e. Islam, has always been the only acceptable religion in the sight of God. For this reason, Islam is the true ‘natural religion’, and it is the same eternal message revealed through the ages to all of God’s prophets and messengers. @@azeemahmad5918 hello Azeem! It is an important realization for Christian to understand that Jesus was the incarnation of God and not God in wholeness for we could not see God in wholeness and live. There God came as a man. This flesh allowed God to show His empathy for His creation and also came with it human and fleshly needs and limitations, such as he was tempted, yet did not sin but God in pureness could not even be tempted, he needed to eat and drink to live but God doesn’t need food or drink to live. You must understand Jesus being man and God had two natures, natural, and divine. Divine is holy, fleshly comes with restrictions yet empathy for creation. I hope this answers the confusion you had about the verses you mentioned earlier.
Secondly Jesus did claim to be God many times. John 1 speaks of the Word (Jesus) and God being one. Jesus said himself that “before Abraham was I AM.” With any understanding of Hebrew culture and Old Testament writing this is about as clear as it gets. To further this point Jesus was convicted by the Pharisees for this very claim and when the Pharisee heard that Jesus claimed this they tore their clothes and said to paraphrase “if this is not evidence then I don’t know what is.” The very narrative of the Gospel is centered around this. You can’t read it and not come to this conclusion with the proper knowledge.

For a believer who thinks the Gospel of John is true, you've got John 8:58, where Jesus says "Before Abraham was, I am." Given Exodus 3:14, in which "I am" is the name of God, it's pretty clear that Jesus is claiming to be something more than a 33-year-old human, and that is how Christians interpret the verse.
Since I'm as atheistic as Ibn Warraq, I don't much care either way. But if you want to discuss the "true" interpretation of the New Testament, you might try discussing it with an actual Christian, preferably in a place where people are talking about Christian doctrine. Which, in this video, Ibn Warraq was not.

Islam is not a new religion because ‘submission to the will of God’, i.e. Islam, has always been the only acceptable religion in the sight of God. God is only one, and other holy creatures such are spirits and angels and prophets that can do powerful things are not Gods. Moses did amazing things, but he never said he was a god. Jesus as well. Even after the crusifiction when his desciples say: "Now you speak in no allegory, you are very direct" Jesus doesn't say "I am a god, and I am a part of trinity
As for "I was before Abraham means hat he was created before Abraham. And what about before Adam?
I can believe he was created before Adam as well.
Also, Muhammad recited and quoted God's words. That doesn't mean he is god. And Muslims can claim that whatever Jesus had said, even if he ever said a sentence like "Lo! I am a god!" Muslims could say "He's quoting God". Actually, Jesus himself did say "I was sent by God" "Why do you call me good, because only He is good". By "He" Jesus obviously meant someone else than himself. In gazillion passages, Jesus refers to his father as somebody other than himself. Jesus also says "Me and my Father are one" I am not sure where he says "Me, My Father, and the Spirit - are one". But again, he clearly says many times that his Father is someone else.
Now this was only to answer the questions - nothing Jesus says is a proof to a Muslim that Jesus refers to himself as a god.

I don't believe that he meant to imply that they benefited more. The salient point was that the impetus for abolition was coming from people of conscience in the West, and was being resisted by princes in Africa who were driving this trade in humanity. Of course, abolition was also being resisted by people profiting from the trade in the West -- this is uncontested ... in the United States, the resistance to abolition was from Democrats and the Democratic Party. But Republicans were driving abolition, and they had the affirmations of the Declaration of Independence on their side, and I am not aware of any similar drive for abolition having gained traction on the Africa side.

@@variantquran4505 Thank you for the clarification. To be straightforward, while I agree with your guest’s approach overall, and as a Christian certainly do not affirm the claims of the Muslims, he gives slightly the impression of a man whose quest to become “western” and even British with a love of things American, nevertheless has a measure of over compensation. I would argue that what gave western culture an advantage was the flourishing of the Christian Gospel, even though many western people were just as savage despite the presence of the Christian message. This, I think, is the problem for “West is best” people like your nonbelieving guest. He sees the advantages but overlooks that it was professedly Christian regimes that invented modern racism, perfected chattel and race slavery, and brutally colonized and adversely impacted much of the world with lasting impact. Those African princes, who may not even have realized the implications of the system they were feeding, were not Christians -but the Brits and US were, and many of the anti slavery people maintained a racist social expectation despite the fact they were Christians. I too prefer my own culture but I’m not going to romance it, because it is deeply afflicted by its own long history of oppression. Thank you for the conversation and for your program and the light you are casting.

Why the West is best is not just a rhyme but a reflection of the foundation of Western Civilization, albeit historical and weakening these days - the Judeo-Christian narrative. Where governance and its policies are formed through that lens. Where even the weakest voice has a place to be heard and truth is to be pursued (maybe not so much today due to post-modernism). We can contrast this with many middle-eastern countries where the foundation is of a different sort and the effects can be clearly seen from the exodus of people from those countries to the West. And the direction is one way and that is telling.

The prisoners' backs became like a field that a farmer has ploughed. Pieces of skin hung from their backs. The Romans had decided that Jesus must die. Now they beat him, by Roman law.

@@azeemahmad5918 Why quote the bible when you don't know the meaning of what you quote and babble? The FATHER calls Jesus God in hebrews 1:8. Jesus says that he and his Father are ONE in John 10:30. Isaiah 9:6 says MIGHTY GOD and EVERLASTING FATHER will be born, also see isaiah 7:14 and Mika 5:2 (only God is everlasting). John 1 says Jesus Christ is THE WORD OF GOD. The old testament speaks of 2 Yahwehs, beside the spirit of God which is the trinity.
By being muslim you deny all key beliefs that can save you, the crucifixion where Christ takes your sins upon himself, the resurrection where we like him rise from the dead, and that Christ is God that took on flesh (1 john 5:4-5), having authority to forgive sins and granting us the rightousness of God (Jeremiah 23:5) which we can't earn but only get by faith, by believing God. So who would deny this? Who has the spirit of antichrist? Read 1 John 2:22 and you will find out.

@37 different arabic qurans The Arabic word ‘Islam’ means ‘submission’, and is derived from a word meaning ‘peace’.

It calls us to believe in God, His angels, His Books, His Messengers, the Last Day, and in in fate or the divine decree.

He sent all that He was going to send, of Prophets, Revelations, Signs, so His Religion is complete & "He" named the believers, for The Prophets are one, with one & the same message, to believe in The God, don't associate anything/one in worship with Him, & do not take any other as god, so, these believers in all His Prophets & all His Revelations, He named them "Muslims," i.e. those who submit to Him & has given His Religion a title; "Islam," i.e. peace:

      @@someonethatisachristian *********I and father r one**********

@37 different arabic qurans 2@....A study of the Christian scriptures reveals that Jesus (pbuh) never claimed divinity. In fact there is not a single unequivocal statement in the entire Bible where Jesus (pbuh) himself says, "I am God" or where he says, "worship me". In fact the Bible contains statements attributed to Jesus (pbuh) in which he preached quite the contrary. The following statements in the Bible are attributed to Jesus Christ (pbuh):
      (i) "My Father is greater than I."
      [The Bible, John 14:28]
(ii) "My Father is greater than all."
      [The Bible, John 10:29]
(iii) "…I cast out devils by the Spirit of God…."
      [The Bible, Mathew 12:28]
(iv) "…I with the finger of God cast out devils…."
      [The Bible, Luke 11:20]
      (v) "I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgement is just; because I seek not my own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me."
      [The Bible, John 5:30]
      God Sent Jesus' (pbuh)
The Bible mentions the prophetic nature of Jesus (pbuh) mission in the following verses:
(i)… and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me."
      [The Bible, John 14:24]
(ii)"And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou has sent."
      [The Bible, John 17:3]
Jesus (pbuh) of Nazareth - a Man Approved of God
The following statement from the Bible supports the Islamic belief that Jesus (pbuh) was a prophet of God.
"Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know."
      [The Bible, Acts 2:22]
      6.t rinity
The First Commandment is that God is One
The Bible does not support the Christian belief in trinity at all. One of the scribes once asked Jesus (pbuh) as to which was the first commandment of all, to which Jesus (pbuh) merely repeated what Moses (pbuh) had said earlier:
"Shama Israelu Adonai Ila Hayno Adonai Ikhad."
This is a Hebrew quotation, which means:
"Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord."
      [The Bible, Mark 12:29]
It is striking that the basic teachings of the Church such as Trinity and vicarious atonement find no mention in the Bible. In fact, various verses of the Bible point to Jesus’ (pbuh) actual mission, which was to fulfill the law revealed to Prophet Moses (pbuh). Indeed Jesus (pbuh) rejected any suggestions that attributed divinity to him, and explained his miracles as the power of the One True God.
Jesus (pbuh) thus reiterated the message of monotheism that was given by all earlier prophets of Almighty God.
NOTE: All quotations of the Bible are taken from the King James Version.

      God is One
The following verse from the book of Deuteronomy contains an exhortation from Moses (pbuh):

It is a Hebrew quotation which means:
"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord"
      [The Bible, Deuteronomy 6:4]

Unity of God in the Book of Isaiah
The following verses are from the Book of Isaiah:

      [The Bible, Isaiah 43:11]
(ii)I am Lord, and there is none else, there is no God besides me."
      [The Bible, Isaiah 45:5]
(iii)I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me."
      [The Bible, Isaiah 46:9]
      Old Testament condemns idol worship
Old Testament condemns idol worship in the following verses:
"Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:"
"Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God."
      [The Bible, Exodus 20:3-5]
      (ii)
A similar message is repeated in the book of Deuteronomy:
"Thou shalt have none other gods before me."
"Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that in the earth beneath, or that is in the water beneath the earth."
