| KEY TAKE AWAYS |
1. Don't value consistency over quality
2. Don't get information from only one source
3. Don't be all about business
4. Don't get jaded
5. DON'T STOP LEARNING
6. Don't study things just once
You mean value quality over consistency, and getting information from multiple different sources? Right?
thank you for reminding me bro! I'mma fix it right away:]@@smolltaco5667
Thanks for posting key points!
It's doesn't matter how much followers you have, be confident
I appreciate your point about studying a subject multiple times.
It aligns with something I learned from an improv teacher:
"Dig a few deep holes, rather than a lot of shallow ones."
This video came in the right time, especially the repeated studies part. Thank you so much 🙏
Bobby, I fully stand behind every message you share on your channel - I’ve binge watched you all day and well, I just love you to pieces - your attitude and advice is top tier
Thank you so much for your kind words Adam! 🙏🏼 They are very encouraging to me!
Loved so much about this. Keep ‘em coming!
Was feeling out of focus lately and this video really reminded me the beauty of getting better as people who do art. Thanks Bobby !
Really needed this as a reminder to keep going & keep learning more about art through constant trial & effort. Thank you for this! ❤
You're such a kind soul, Bobby
Hey Bobby, loving seeing videos like this on your new channel, I love that you're redoing your old videos with new insights you've had
thanks so much! As I was reviewing past videos, I thought this one could use a revamp and new thoughts.
This was very educational! Thank you!
These videos are coming back and even better than before
I'm a huge fan of trial and error in my art and sculpture because sometimes the mistakes make the best pieces 😅
Thank you for this video😊
Nice suggestions mate . Thanks for changing my mind 😊
Thank you for these tips, they helped me a lot today.
Great tips, Bobby :)
this was very helpful thank youuu
Thank you for this valuable video
Always being a chad with that emmy on the shelf xd Thanks bobby for the courses, the kind words and the encouraging :3
Might seem like a Chad but it’s for the people that don’t know me and stumble on to my channel. I had them in boxes for about 8 years if that makes any difference. Lol
Wow, all of the advice is pretty good and it made me think about a lot of stuff. I'm going to apply it!
Hey fantastic! Glad it helped
Thank you💖
"Cauldron of style"😊
I like your hair bobby! 😮 Cool haircut! 😮
Thank you 🙏🏽
Felt very seen you mentioning the martial arts comparisons, i practice and teach karate, its true, practicing basics 10 times is not the same as practicing it 200 times or more, repetition and studying to understand is where magic happens// my dad the head instructor was just talking about that yesterday in class haha😁 the same lessons apply no matter the medium😤💪✍🏼
I thought this was a Psych2Go video
great video :)
I do miss your kind interviews. I listened to pretty much all of them and it made me more 'normal'. I hope all is well with you! ❤
One is coming out with Angela Sung on Schoolism.com
And thank you so much for your kind words! 🙏🏼 They are very encouraging to me!
Thank you 🙏@@chiu-on-this

11:32 I never thought about it like that. I should do more tutorial series...
I'm generally more interested in videogame making, the programming aspect primarily but I do want to potentially be able to wear every hat, even if im not as skilled as I could be in every area.
Even if its just a basic tutorial I should go through more of them. Its not like I cant just skip over the things I already know.
Consistency is something I’m ok with but yeah, I definitely think it shouldn’t always be the priority. I did one time challenge myself in painting a bunch of paintings in a short amount of time and make sure I was consistent with all of them. I still made sure I had a minimal decent quality I approved of which I stuck more strictly to. But even so, that was due to extenuating circumstances.
(Context, was doing paintings for a wedding present for my cousin and my sister did the air-head thing and rented a booth space at an art festival without a decent inventory in stock…so I made a few to fill out tables, though it ended up being a really badly located festival so no one sold anything really. So I had a week to turn out a lot of paintings. One large (wedding one), two medium (the wedding ones), and seven small paintings (because I knew better than to start larger to get a lot turned out). But hey! I did it! Trial by fire completed!)
Man I can't lie I've done a lot of these
Planning on studying art more 😅
Gold
Hello! Nice video.
So.... do you have some advice for someone who has taken up so much work to the point of overlading?
My life is so busy as I draw to keep this roof over my head, and each month, I have to gather so many commissions. My list is so long, I'm so stressed, but I keep pushing on.
Any advice would help. Please, I'm losing my mind...
Great tips! How come that you started a new channel though? Have you seen any benefits doing so?
I like to learn from multiple resources.
The problem is I get lost trying to juggle too many courses or books at once, switching thinking that I'm not ready for that topic for whatever reason ( or excuses).
I end up burnt out not getting done and not enjoying the process at all because of that.
How can I stay focused and avoid such distraction?
Is the same for my 😢 i dont know how put all the infomation togueter or where to start . with so many options and diferent thecniques for doing the same thing.😢
I spend more time studing what to study 😅
Bobby random but the texture/pattern of your shirt looks doozy from afar (in PiP mode), gives out an optical illusion to it 😂
Ahhh I see it now 🤦
@@chiu-on-this No worries! It was just amusing to notice. Thanks for the updated guide of your hit vid from years ago
Your first claim is just crazy, youtube is known for being very anti art, and only lets reactors take advantage of them
If it’s “anti art,” no one would know about The Amazing Digital Circus. Quality over consistency.
@@Sasukeluvzme13 or... Lackadaisy... Emesis Blue... or Red VS Blue...
cough cough sniper wolf cough cough
I know some ppl need more criticism and some need more compliments. But I never thought about how some ppl could start to feel they've already made it if you compliment them too much 😂
I had a student tell me before that it’s hard for them to improve because they were already really good. 😅
I think most of your advice here is too focused on “likes” and “follows” which is a very bad habit itself….it’s not about the likes or follows but building those followers and people who actually like ur art and always stay around. I think if your focused more on the follows and likes your making content, not art
I’m too lazy to use social media bruv
@0:51 Me: ...cause I draw nsfw nudes. I'm automatically put into the shadow realms! lol
Gosh, this guy sounds and looks so young...
So the number one habit is what? I'm sorry, but you said the tiktok example and that you can easily get followers but what does that has to do with quality vs consistency? It was because of quality? Tiktok values quality? (don't think so) So the bad habit is being consistent in social media????
Tiktok values quality over consistency. You can have your account inactive for months… if your quality of posts are good, they’ll still spread a lot
And by the way tiktok is basically just a toxic vat of toxic laziness, complacency and greed, everything is a reupload of a rupload using annoying ai and overdone music, and that gets put out very fast, which drowns out all the actual good stuff that could come out of it
I am a 13 year old herr😅
Just a heads-up, this video didnt show up in my subscriptions feed, so YT might be doing something fucky again. Ironic, really, considering your first talking point.
I get this from my recommendations, so it's just conspiracy theory
"HEY" , OK.... NOT TO B NEG. *HOWEVER , I know why we aren't seeing the great energy we're longing for. (BY the way U R a BRILLIANT MIND its the light n u " I haven't seen anyway like mine. Thank u for sharing ur energy. Um , oh so sorry. I don't do "News" seen this guy talking about China Is over t toc... they w Intent show am. Content that's well ya know, not a great knowledgeable way to spend our time. THANK GOD 4 CREATORS LIKE U . anyways he was saying the content is incredibly diff for content pop China takes in. T.v. among other things r very influential... ya dig ??? Sure U do
Bc the mind its talent potential etc plus the miracle of sight seeing . How it all ties twisting gl& winding flowing w time. Anyways , I'm going to focus on ur videos . Thank u
bro wanna be psych so bad
Ugh, this is such a Psych2Go art style ripoff I am physically unable to watch it.
Wow it’s almost as if psych to go “owns” their art style, you cannot “own” an art style. Also I am comparing the two and no, they do not look the same, there are many differences, so you are def reaching. Go do something productive with your life rather than reach for issues that don’t exist.
Actually, I did the style long before that channel. If you look at my previous channel @bobbychiu and compare the dates you’ll see that minus the original, so do your research first before you start accusing people
