  • In this video, we went to an old pottery workshop.
The founders of this workshop are a man and a woman from the village, who are now less engaged in this work due to their old age. Of course, they were able to train many students, so that this workshop will continue to exist.
Here we will see the pottery production process from the beginning to the end.
Pottery is the process and the products of forming vessels and other objects with clay and other ceramic materials, which are fired at high temperatures to give them a hard and durable form. Major types include earthenware, stoneware and porcelain. The place where such wares are made by a potter is also called a pottery. The definition of pottery is "all fired ceramic wares that contain clay when formed, except technical, structural, and refractory products. In art history and archaeology, especially of ancient and prehistoric periods, "pottery" often means vessels only, and sculpted figurines of the same material are called "terracottas"
Clay dishes are perhaps one of the oldest human creations.
In six thousand years BC, the first sign of the appearance of the kiln can be seen in the pottery industry, and in three thousand five hundred years BC, a simple pottery wheel that moved by hand was made. The emergence of the pottery wheel brought about a great transformation in this industry.
In Iran, pottery is more than 10,000 years old.
The oldest pottery wheel and pottery kiln in the world was found in Susa. Also, the oldest engraved pottery belongs to Iran.
The oldest vessel found in Iran, a black and smoky vessel that is similar to the oldest pottery vessels found elsewhere. The first pottery vessels that have been obtained and belong to the fourth millennium before the birth of Christ were found in Mianrodan. The oldest pottery found in Iran belongs to the same period. This relatively primitive hand-made dish had a red dish with black spots from incomplete cooking. Technical progress in the profession of pottery led to the emergence of a new style, this style lasted for more than 2000 years in some areas of the Iranian plateau with changes and interruptions.

I might write a story that briefly shows Persian pottery. Would that lead to any controversy?

What do you mean by "leads to controversy"?

Well, for one thing, America and Iran has had conflict. I figured any concept of Iran was a sensitive subject. Besides, is it appropriate for a non-Iranian character in my story to own Persian pottery?@@FromEveryWheree
