American politics are a mess
Too bad they are bringing the whole world with them...
@@_blank-_ with social media…
Truly, social media was a blessing but now’s a curse 😢
@@letsdoodlesomethinghome3404 social media was never a blessing hun.
@@letsdoodlesomethinghome3404 its not all bad it depends on how you control it
People not from America often say stuff like this... without knowing anything about politics in their own country.
this is why America isn't first in anything good
Freedoms protected by the constitution, even if the current admin isnt keen on keeping them
@@MrGert150 yes.. all Americans have now is ‘freedom’. But you wanna know the other word for freedom when it’s “USA lvl” (aka, freedom overboard)? Chaos.. or another term: Discord (not the chatting app😂).
So long for being ‘number 1’ 🤷♂️
Never was.
Yeah, they must elect Trump as dictator, with unlimited power, so he can rival China and Russia.
@@MrGert150 Freedom House (which is US based) ranks your 61 out of 194 countries. Finnland is No.1 on that index.
why is it impossible that republicans take the senate but not the house?
It’s not impossible, just very unlikely compared to the other three situations
Because the seat that running for senate are leaning dem heavily at the moment. With exception of Florida, Democrat is leading the polls in all these competitive senate seats. The one that aren’t leading dem is closing the gaps.
Queen nancy is the boss, she ate their god trump alive, they can't pull that on her.
It’s the same as the last scenario so that’s why they didn’t include it.
Betting odds says they have a 67% chance of taking the senate. They are historically more accurate than the polls
Welcome to the Totally Definitely a Democratic Republic known as the United States of America.

Actually it's more like a bad marriage where we aren't allowed to divorce the abusive spouse in red
@@bryanalexander7571 That'd be a pretty good analogy if it was 1960. Marriages are pretty easy to destroy nowadays. It also seems like you have a rather odd distaste for the red. Its strange that you side with the spouse that decided to blow up the house, rather than the one that brought it prosperity for a long period of time.
I'd prefer that the marriage never existed and that the two listened to their father (this analogy took a bit of an Alabaman turn but oh well).
So this is how the biggest death circus is doing atm.

the reailty that it is a political binary is so upsetting
Which is why (if he isn't already indicted) I hope Trump runs in '24, loses the Republican primary, and makes the republican party cave in on itself when he runs third party anyway. It will split them into at least two factions, and hopefully will be enough to encourage more left leaning democrats to split off on their own as well. More choices, and will actually allow people to better vote along their beliefs. Too many different types of politicians all under the same party.
ranked choice voting!
Next video: the three ways this coin toss could land
Its almost like a third major party would solve this issue because no party could ever have a proper majority.
Problem in the United States is that the two major parties (Republicans and Democrats) often fund the two smaller parties (the progressive Green Party and the conservative leaning Libertarians) in order to siphon votes away from their major competitor. Here in Texas it's a given that Republicans help prop up Green Party candidates in major races so that their Democratic challengers get less votes, consequently ensuring neither Democrats nor Green Party candidates win the race. As a result people choose to continue voting for the major parties because of the legitimate concern that their vote is being wasted to ultimately help the opposition party.
Not really, as multiparty systems usually form coilitions, so you still get left - right splits.
@@RedZeshinX thats why I specifically mention “Major” for the third party. Not some half baked one propped up by the opposition.
@@anonmouse6337 The issue is not even a left right split, its more about how the parties create an ever increasing extreme split.
@@TheClonetruper that also happens with multiparty systems. Political polarity in happening across the world.
I don't think the difference between two-party and multi party is as pronounced as you think. The two major parties in the US are essentially coilitions anyway, because you have different factions ("wings") within the parties. It's just that the coilitions come preformed, whereas multiparty systems form coilitions after the election.
Number 1 please. No more reds.

Even with good laws and regulations getting passed the problem is if trump gets in this election of 2024 he can just undo all the work of this government

Yeah, also btw note that Democrats have almost no chance of net-picking up any Senate seats in 2024, so if they lose the Senate this year, then they also won't hold it for 2025-2026. So if a Democrat gets elected in 2024, theb they still wouldn't be able to pass any legislation if they lose the Senate this year

I really don’t want my healthcare going into the hands of a bunch of politicians.
Right like the current healthcare system is soooo amazing. 🙄. Let's privatize the police force and fire departments too while we're at it, so they prioritize giving the best "Platinum Level" service to people with more money instead of equally serving everyone like they currently do.
@@RedZeshinX competition in health care is a good thing, especially when you allow insurance companies to compete across state lines. It drives the cost of service down while it give consumers a choice. As for police & fire services. Here's a thought experiment, two 911 calls come in at the same time. One is from a neighborhood of million dollar homes, the other comes from a working class neighborhood. Both calls are for the same reason. Who do think will have emergency services show up first?
i really don’t want my healthcare going into the hands of a bunch of greedy billionaires.
In Portugal we have both private and public, public is obviously free but can have some really long wait times, private has way less wait time, but costs money, so there is a choice and there is still free healtcare

Ok but one doesn't actively try to remove rights from women, minorities or workers.
@@jackrogers1772 Agreed, it's very sad. They waste a lot of "The People" money and show little to no benefits in return.
This form of government isn't very effective with the amount of people that are in the United States of America.
The rich keep getting richer and I've yet to see anyone tackle anything that has truly changed every person living in the United States of America.
The law needs to be simpler and not have a bajillion pages to read to understand everything. Should be universal laws and it applies to everyone everywhere no matter what state or county or city you live in.
Honestly, just wish we had nice people in this world. Is it too much to ask for? Until then, I'll continue to pray everyday for everyone. 🙏
My biggest complaint is the horrible infrastructure that is in the United States.
There should be multiple fast bullet trains going from one side of the United States to the other and in between. You shouldn't have to take a plane just to get from one side to another in less than a day.
There should be public transportation everywhere. The cities and towns are horribly designed for efficiency for travel both pleasure and for work.

Why havent dems already codified roe vs wade?
the senate is currently split 50/50 and senate republicans use the “filibuster” to make it so something like Codifying Roe would actually take 60 votes instead of 50, so democrats can’t do anything
You actually believe Democrats care about what people think? They just want votes man.
Because we are guaranteed freedom of religion - as long as we are Christian
Because it's a voting issue, they can continue to use it to gain votes. Stop being so naive they don't want to solve the problem.
