Man imagine how even more crazy it would be to have live police chase that also cause car accidents like your building your city and you see a runaway car being chased by 7 police units and a helicopter

would be funny if you could delete road ahead of the runner and behind him, I would love to see what AI would do. Most likely threw and error and game closed
Cute how they’ve retained the OTT car suspension from the original. The passengers must feel like they're in a rollercoaster or something.
The suspension is actually pretty realistic. Cars do lean on turns but not an absurd amount like in the original. You can also see in the Dev Diary that cars can apparently smoothly change lanes/merge. I think it depends on how good of a driver they are, so a worse driver would suddenly jump over a lane, slam the brakes, and turn whilst going at a higher speed. Pretty realistic. Plus, the car crash looked quite real with the way the yellow car bounces after hitting the parked car.
@@APatriotRevivalhopefully they optomize this. This game juet sounds like CPU hell right now
@@christopherbernhardt It shouldn't take much of a toll on the CPU at all. Simple physics on that kind of object wouldn't do much, assuming it's the same system as CS1, where vehicles followed less complex paths and don't lean when you're not looking/far away.
@apolloisairborne I'm talking more so about the mass collision detection in the pathfinding algorithm that also manages how good of a driver they are
Always loved that about CS. It still makes me chuckle here and there. lol
This gets me really excited for CS2 as this creates a lot of depth to the game. I also hope they might add more crashes like maybe train derailments if it’s going around a corner to fast and many more.
Like making a rail curve too sharp and it derails cause that happens in real life
So many options to make your city feel more "alive"!

I can already see the Ohio train derailment recreations. What I'm really curious about is that what happens if a car gets hit by a tram or train dose it derail, stop, hit then stop, or just fase through it like the original game.

Man I miss this feature in Simcity 2013. The helicopter will chase down the criminal and the detective van will capture the criminal in their home

I feel like the vehicles got a little more North American in CS2, I love the cargo train model they used in some of the trailers, I really hope they use it in the game!

@@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines rage quit as 37 cars crash at once and you can’t do anything about it as no setting exists, hopping there’s settings for the simulation of crashes and such

@NathanKillz you do realize that road conditions are a small percentage of reasons why a car crashes right? Like oh you crashed? Well I'm sure that tire that flew off and ended up on the other side of the highway had nothing to do with it since our roads are perfect 😒

As soon as Cities skylines II comes there is going to be a CZcamsr who films these crashes.
Would be cool if “chance of car accident” increases on junctions that have too many lanes/roads intersecting it without traffic lights. Like it’d make traffic lights actually essential as before, you’d just slap down 6 roads crossing each other, get rid of the traffic lights because they slow down traffic, and things be fine. Yet irl, people would die on a daily basis, probably hourly if something like that existed in real life.
Aye, that's something I'm really hoping for. One of the things that always bugged me about CS1.

My city with 81% traffic speed got no traffic lights, so probably there is gonna be crashes everywhere)))
I can see it already, Biffa- let’s take a look at your round abouts, there set up properly but the ai is backed up because you did make road crews and the silly tea driver crashed. No Yorkshire tea today. (Proceeds to sip tea)

What I also love is, I saw the the North American Police Cars actually have a variety. There are at least 2 models, a Dodge Challenger Sportscar and a Chevrolet Caprice inspired Police Sedan. That's so nice! I hope there will be an SUV aswell for the police.

Somebody is gonna make a mod that will cause cars to hit pedestrians or cyclists on occasion, and maybe even try to run off (which will contribute to inmate count) and have ambulances went out to clear the hit pedestrian out of the way (which will count towards sick citizen stats)
Imagine those major road intersections with cars phasing through each other....

That one in the end crashing in to the parked cars did it for me, this will be fantastic to watch and see in our cities, I imagine it'll be luck to see them in real time but so much fun to see

You can actually see in that clip the one car stops in the middle of the intersection, just like they would in real life. I wonder how much rubber necking the drivers do.

Now the Huge Question regards CS2----- will we still need our Biff-abacuses for lane mathematics? Mine is in the attic powered by 42 hamster wheels and a crew of 252 hamsters and half a dozen rats in hard hats doing maintenance between extended tea breaks. I plumbed in the tea urn years ago.
