Works perfectly now. In my case, my ps4 controller was connected and working ..but very poorly with lots of lag and shutting off for no reason. Your solution seems to have totally fixed it. Thanks for sharing this crucial tip!
Works with all AAA games, only online fps is an issue due to sensitivity/deadzone issues other than that works well. I use for Dying Light, GTA V, Borderlands and many other games with no probs.
Just bought my NVIDIA Shield TV 2019 and i spent half a day trying to connect my ps4 gamepad with no success. i did all things i found around like ... clear cache, data, force stop, reset, factory default ... nothing ... any ideas how to connect the ps4 remote? ... it connects for one sec and then it drops ... appreciate any tip
I bought it on cdkeys.com and redeemed it with steam. I'm just saying if your gonna buy to play with the nvidia shield it's very difficult to adjust the controller to feel like playing on console. I found the sensitivity very annoying with most online fps games I've tried. Unless your used to mouse and keyboard dont buy fps games for the nvidia shield.
You can assign it as a button for emulation with like retroarch, its configured to open map view in fortnite. It doesn't function as a mouse. Pretty much does what the Shield Controller would do

Can you use it with a cable instead of bluetooth? With bluetooth if you set 3-4 meters away from the tv it's just not responsive properly.
Yeah you can use a wire if you prefer
