The Best of Uryo's Sakura, i hope you enjoy the vid. All of the clips seen on this video are taken from matches originally uploaded on my channel, the original "Replay Channel" with over 3,000 matches. Check out his playlist. • Uryo [Sakura, Viper] M...
i apologize for the button inputs, there was nothing i could do about it because, for my "Best of Tokido" video, i had all the matches saved on my replay channel, but for these matches, i had to download the matches off youtube, then make the clips, then have it processed again to make the final vid, so that is why the picture quality isn't quite as good as the other vids. - Hry
To all the scrubs complaining about missing the third otoshi hit, try this: connect the third hit and then try to do a charged fireball on their wakeup. Now you understand why all Sakura players whiff that third hit.
+Zigi Samblak I remember seeing Uryo do this when I first got into the FGC with SSF4 in 2010, and it blew my mind! So cool. He pretty much invented Sakura in this game's engine.
For someone that doesn't understand the game why the 3rd hit is often whiffed is a legit question. 0.o
@ wrestlegirl nah it isn't a legit question in context of what he said, if people are complaining about the third hit missing they know shit and are scrubs, if they are asking why? that's fair enough and the right thing to do, we all start learning somewhere.
point is, if you actually play sakura you know not to hit third hit lmao that's like basic 101 sakura shit
@@kibbywitz so that you can end it early and do a meaty half charged fireball, thought i'd said that 2 years ago but must have missed it lol
Who's still watching this after 8 yrs? 😂
10 freakin years is more like it
We here for the hype

I cannot believe some of the combos that Uryo does in-game. Simply amazing technique. Look at the inputs - definitely no mashing going on!!! Just pure technique. Awesome vid.
Guys, about the third otoshi hit, he probably doesn't connect it on purpose because when close to the corner, connecting the third hit is gonna leave you with your back to the corner. So instead he skips the third hit and leaves the opponent with his back to the corner and under pressure.
it's also for the hadoken set up, sakura recovers faster so she back-dashes (if opponent is in the corner) and charges it max, they have to block, and you can go for a low/high mix up, or even cross up after. works in midscreen too but u dont back-dash, instead take a step forward and charge hadoken max.
Sakura's theme is really befitting of this relentless and yet graceful beatdown.
The guy is a beast with Viper AND Sakura.......Always amazing seeing Uryo's playstyle.
Dont apologize about the inputs on the screen it can help some players see how to execute some of those combos and such. great video, cant wait to other "best of"!
I remember seeing this months ago and wishing I could do these combos. Now, I'm happy that even I use these combos in-game. That's practice for ya.
Jesse put rad videos together. Always bringing that hype!
love your ( the best of ) videos
I've seen that Sakura vs Cammy one so many times in replay channel. It randomly appears and I get excited to see it each time lol.
If only I could catch the speed you have with executing Sakura's set list I could grow to become a better fighter with her. But, I'm just beginning so I know it won't happen overnight. Thank you, this is great to study.
Thank you so much Shin.. Excellent job.
thank you for that mix, great stuff
Omg Just Wat I Wanted To See!!!! SHIN THANKS FOR THESE VIDS . UR FAMOUS LOL
Thanks for uploading this video! :D
Man that's crazy, I don't know how you guys have such good control over your characters.
This is a great example of some of the overlooked characters kicking much ass.
Uryo is truly a very experienced Sakura player. I enjoyed almost all his matches :)
couple of these i didn't even know you could link, definitely gonna try it later
i still love watching this
I didnt think Uryo was this good. Nice Video.
@squier86 The reason he does it is because the way the third hit slams the opponent down. They land before Sakura and, if done in the corner, Sakura lands on the other side, putting herself in the corner. Basically, Uryo sacrifices about 45 damage (or less, depending on the combo) for better positioning. It keeps the opponent trapped in the corner, and can allow Uryo time to backdash and throw out a meaty hit or something, like the hadoken at around 42 seconds.
This video it's what got me into Street Fighter 7 years ago
i miss you shin
So...beautiful. *tear*
the button inputs are good, allows you to see how they execute certain combos (if they use shortcuts etc)
@amaj83
Yes, it is possible, notice that it is heavy shippukyaku not the light one. Startup for heavy shippukyaku doesnt really change, and it covers more range.
@jessediener
He does that because dropping the 3rd hit allows Sakura to recover from the move faster and therefore she has more time to do a mix up as the opponent wakes up (usually he charges the hadoken). The 3rd hit doesn't do much damage anyways so dropping it for better positioning is good..
Uryo will usually drop the 3rd hit in the corner. If Sakura does the 3rd hit in the corner, then Sakura will end up in the corner. Notice Uryo usually does the 3rd hit only if Sakura is midscreen.
this is great sakuras one of my favs!
I LOVE YOU SHINAKUMA, LOVE URYO!
Man this was epic
watching my favorite character kicking butts ! oh yeah
I love Uryo hes funny to watch. Seen him play AE a couple of times. You guys will be amazed at what he can do with Sak
oh that 13 hit combo.... gosh
yeah if you notice he immediately sets up a corner trap afterwards that is pretty damn cool
I Salute You
Wish I can Bang out Links as good and consistant as You
amazing video =)
man even on my best day i neva been that good,i still got so much work to do with her, uryo is a beast
outstanding sakura
@MasterBitting the stratagy comes in setting up the combos. both players are trying to find a weakness playing mind games and footsies to get a combo in. so basicly highlvl players win based on stratagie and good reads
@Adon Teck True, but you can only not plink a lp as nothing else as standard has a lower priority. But then lp can be plinked with either Back or Select and a lot of top players have their sticks re-wired so that the Back or Select button is mapped to one of the buttons normally reserved for either 3P or 3K (Sako has certainly done this). Either way a one frame link is still only one frame regardless (although I do understand that plinking loosens the timing to 2frames).
Amazing.
This Dude Is Amazing He Even Makes Me Prouder To Be A Sakura Mainer!
uryo stay stylin on these fools. stoked to see he has a 91% win % in AE with sak. can't wait to see his AE matches. i hope he sticks with sak eve tho she has some very tuff matchups he makes it look breezy. holler. sak fo lyfeee
tokido does 12 shoryukens in only .25 seconds...god he is awesome.
Loved that first fight on Akuma
Those single frame links are so hard to do and Uryo makes them look easy.
Good god, that's a pretty sick Sakura.
@RazinBlastroth
he's missing the third hit on purpose, so she can fall faster to the ground, pump a hadoken, force the opponent to block upwards, so he can then do a low kick and chain with another kickass combo
Thanks for telling me that, i was kinda curious
Apparently you haven't studied her frame date if you don't even know these long combos she can pull off are all practically 1-frames. If someone can pull it off, they deserve it. She isn't broke.
@ninetalescommander Appearance-wise the special moves look relatively the same. Like others have stated, only things that make Ken distinguishable is his few different normal moves, ultra/super, and a flaming texture added to some of his specials. But the mechanics of his moves themselves are different and that makes a big difference in using the characters to their full effectiveness. Just one example out of many, Ken's spinning kick won't knock the opponent away like Ryu's does.
Favorited. I NEED TO LEARN THESE COMBOS
thanks for reminding me why i stopped playing SSF4.
woowo awesome video
Okay to the people who are like "OMG why is he not doing that extra hit when he attacks after his ex tatsu", well as you can see you fall to the ground befor you opponent and so that means you can charge up a hadoken and get chip and if it hits you can actually combo into it and get another one until they decide to start blocking that charged up hadoken, anyway I would also like to add that ultra 1 is so useless beacouse you can get U2 by just using a light shouken in the corner where as U1 ou cannot idk why it is used XDD
Only pros can land it everytime, it does more damage too.
@wra7h He's known as Uryo at the offline Japanese arcades, efllake is his gamertag, for well known players, I user their arcade name rather than their gamertags. For instance, Momochi instead of green212, Tokido instead of tokido77, Daigo instead of gameinn, etc etc.
amazing combos!
I love how kids are just watching them fight.
You right.... you right.
sakura is a freaking crazy character, and i mean that in a very good and scary way. at least when she's in the right hands.
Yeeeaah! That was great =))))
his timing is too insane
Big props for taking out Tokido. Sure you won't be able to do that in sets in a tournament though. :P
@dantesarmpit Its a technique where you press multiple buttons for a single command to make your combos more likely to be successful. Its a little hard to explain in words but there alot of video tutorials on YT.
Its so that he can dash back and prepare for his wake up cross up charge hadoken. Hes forcing the person to get up choosing to block backwards or forward.
added to favourites ^^
got some fights were you were struggeling to win? :)
Unbelievable Sakura.
sakura is adorable my friends
memories
This is what happens when the #1 C. Viper brings magical execution to Sakura.
3:28 was hands-down the most amazing combo I've ever seen done, that used no meter.
@GoldenerFoetus
Now that is the type of attitude I respect so I thank you for being polite about it.
The thing is, I am not completely biased against Ken's moveset, I think both of his ultras are very good and make him stand out and his super is pretty good as well.
If it was me, I'd do 1 of 2 things
1. Remove Hadoken and the spinning kick move and give him 2 new moves.
2. Keep the moves he has but add in at least 2 new ones.
Plus the reason Ken didn't make it into MVC3 was because of this.
@jessediener
He drops the third one in the CORNER only because if he does the third hit it places him in the corner which is never a good spot to be. Doing only two hits of the otoshi allows him to start a wake-up game on his opponent while keeping them in the corner.
speeeeechless!!
@majinshenmue That is actually cr.HP to light tatsu, no it can't go on forever, he will soon get out of range. If you are close enough, usually 2 times is max, 3 to 4 times if you mix in c.mk and c. hp.
@SnDLegendOfZelda likewise. Watching Uryo was what got me into Sakura, and now I can do all of her tatsu links consistently. Even got to play against Uryo in some casuals at SB! Obviously got my ass handed to me but I got one round and landed a long tatsu chain on him, feels good bro xD
It's an untecheable knockdown :) It offers her advantages for some setups, like a fully charged hadouken (and whatever you do next, like a crossup, or a f+MK, or a combo started with d+LK etc)
I think I realized today that I don't like playing sakura as much as I like watching guys like this play her. skill.
@GoldenerFoetus
Not really, the main moves are the signature attacks of the characters.
Examples are Ryu's Hadoken, Chun-Li's spinning bird kick, Sagat's Tiger Gun, Guile's Flash Kick and so on.
These are what separates the characters apart but Ken, all his main stuff is just stuff Ryu has.
How people can count basic moves as Character individuality is beyond me.
Uryo is a beast.
@mimiruuu it only works in SSF4 not vanilla. In super all three hits can cause untechable knockdowns so your opponents can't quick stand.
Uryo keeps ramming in the frame traps lol. Vicious...
That combo into light srk to light 3 thing move (what's the name?) was beautiful, I didn't know that linked. Sakura ftw
sakura and akuma are my two best for a reason... they simply kick ass lol
Till now there is no other greater Sakura player than uryo
Half life 3 0:00
pure beast
the amount of speaking these SF characters do while fighting, you'd imagine they'd run out of breath before getting KOed
i guess light & medium attacks really do come in handy
Only one person disliked this...oh yeah thats how good the video is.
Woe to you son. Her fireballs are way better then they should be. Oni's are worse then hers.
Uryo is a beast
hey cool tokido
@amaj83 yes it does thats my base combo in ssf4 for sakura works in AE also
@cjkone978 i think its cos the second hit of the orochi gives you an untechable knockdown which gives u more wakeup options...
Unbelievable skill..
@omegaxis2
It chains all her normal hits into combos, check the videos on youtube for examples. I like to trap them in the corner and use it, even if they block I mix high and low hits and now and again they flinch if not just tech grab after.
I like how he already has a perfect on the second c.viper in this. and that didn't even make the cut.
The match versus Tokido looks like the only one where he didn't completely assfuck the other player. Good stuff.
