Walt Disney famously combined the words Imagination and Engineer to form Imagineer, specifically for the development of Disneyland. He identified people within his company that had a unique way of getting the impossible done, and he assigned them to a division called WED, for Walter Elias Disney. There the Imagineers had the freedom to do whatever it took to make Walt’s dream possible. This episode of The Disney Family Album features some of those early Imagineers Randy Bright, Bill Justice, Tim Delaney, X Atencio and Dave Feiten being interviewed inside of the parks and in front of some fascinating models.

Davy Feiten was my Mentor, at Disney! So gorgeous, and so talented! He had me tripping all over myself, with nervous knots!! Those were the days! I was so excstatically happy!! I wanted to and became a beloved Animator with a loving following and fanbase! Even Mark Hamill was a personal fan of mine! I Miss Davy, and those days...hanging out inside Pirates and Splash Mountain while he worked!!!

I love these Disney Family Albums, especially the Imagineer one from the 80's. Are any of these available on DVD?

I agree - These Videos came from VHS and where recorded during the Disney Family Album re-run in the mid 90s. The Clarence Nash episode was never re-run.
