The Obsidian Keldon is a pretty nice heavy cruiser. All Cardassian Keldons were uprated beyond the Obsidian Advanced during the Dominion War. They were pretty formidable and a direct peer of the Vorcha or Nebula Class. As we saw on DS9, the Cardassians benefitted immensely from the technology exchange with the Dominion, and the DW uprated Galors were also pretty good medium cruisers, able to murder any smaller ship classes. I know many people look at the Cardassians with a surface level understanding and dismiss their warships because they aren't 1-on-1 matches for the Galaxy Class and other Starfleet, Romulan, Klingon battleships. But, that is like saying a destroyer is not worthwhile because it is no match for an Iowa Class Battleship. You can't compare ships out of classes anymore than one would dismiss the Klingons because the Kvort Class Cruiser is inferior to the D'Deridex. Galors don't need to match the Galaxy Class or Neghvar; it isn't supposed to fight battleships 1-on-1, but 4/5-to-1, and they only need to be individually comparable to other medium cruisers and be a design that is both eminently upgradable and easily mass produced, not unlike the Sherman or T-34. And in this regard the Galor meets its requirements. In any event, post-War, the Cardassians are doing pretty well.
You were pretty much right on the money about that blast! When all the Borg were wiped out, they instantly took half the Cardassian fleet down along with them, and heavily damaged the other half. That was a bittersweet victory for the Cardies
I agree if it was a Federation fleet the Borg cube would have been dust a lot quicker. I agree the Klingon ships are more powerful than Cardassian ships. Maybe do that next time do a Federation fleet against the Borg tactical cube.
I did 20 NX classes and 1 armored Intrepid vs. a Borg cube, the intrepid can easily solo the cube, but it's fun to watch all the NX ships blow up when the cube explodes.
no Hutet? no Weapon platforms? also it would be nice to see some post dominion war Cardassian ships. ALSO can you feature the Son'a? you never do them and their ships a really cool.
The Cardassian Dreadnought missile would solve a Borg Cube problem....its warhead is like 1000 Photon torpedo's strong (Photons have 1.5kg/1.5kg M/AM warhead while Dreadnought has a 1000kg/1000kg M/AM Warhead) and has Quantum torps, very strong shields and high power disruptors and a thoron shock emitter
If the Dreadnought could deliver its full payload to a cube (roughly 45 gigatons), that'd be close to the entire torpedo complements of three Galaxy-class starships (overly generously assuming those photons' efficiency was 100% and, per the TNG TM, actually yielded 64ish megatons apiece). Dozens of gigatons delivered in one big blast would, IMO, probably devastate if not destroy most cubes. However, I don't think the Dreadnought would ever get close enough for its warhead to hurt the cube. The cube is far more formidable than Voyager, with nastier weapons and all those tractor beams. It could likely literally hold the missile at range and pound its shields down before destroying it.
Nice battle, but I think the Borg are quite underpowered in this game, one tactical cube should be able to destroy a fleet like that, I think the Borg ships should been upgraded in power.
The assimilation cube is very powerful in this game. I seem to remember Voyager engaging a tactical cube single hand-idly though, haha. Plot armour is real! 🖖

that cube didn't even blow up properly its still intact! its just going to sleep after venting a plasma shock-wave and then it will be back!
That's the truth... remember when the cube went boom in First Contact? It also took about 4 or 5 Federation ships with it.
Huh. So, what you're saying is that Dukat managed to bore the Borg so much they fell asleep listening to him yakking. Cool. 😛
If you recall, all the Obsidian Keldons had cloaking devices provided by the Tal Shiar when they attacked the Dominion.

That was a really really amazing battle the Cardies did really well

nice matchup. Impressed the cardies did that well
0:28 This is true, BUT most Cardassian ships would survive getting hit at mid speed by a crowbar, which is something.
The forward spinal mounted spiral wave compressor punches way above the ships weight class.
Thanks for making these video's.
Keldon is cool!!!
Wow, I thought the Cardassians would have been toast
They got a loaned cloke from the Romulans.
yes.
Proximity destruction in first contact omg 😅

well ... guess now you need to do a keldon vs negvar just to be sure about the outcome
Mixed Romulan vs tactical cube
Recreate the shattered mirror battle in Prime Universe using the weak cardassian station instead of ds9
Toss a Hutet in next time.
The Hutet would have halved the time it took, especially the DW refit.
Romulans are like spiders they're blood is based on copper not iron . The more you know .
Romulans are the most dangerous power in the alpha & beta quadrants .
Got to let the cardassians win sometimes. You know how they complain lol

Late to the party on this one , damn .
Every cardasian ship could'nt take out a normal cube never mind a tactical one.
cardassian ships have always been inferior to starfleet ships
This is stupid, the Tac Cube is way too weak
