- President Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday to slam his former attorney and personal fixer Michael Cohen for pleading guilty to a series of charges including tax fraud and campaign finance violations. CBS News chief White House correspondent Major Garrett has more on the latest developments.

For what crime would you like him locked up? No proof put forward of collusion. When Mueller indicted Russian companies, one of them showed up to his surprise and he had no case to present. There is nothing illegal about a non-disclosure agreement as long as the funds did not come from the campaign. Every reporter you see signs a NDA, I've signed them, it does not mean the people that payed for them may never run for office without violating campaign law.

There is nothing illegal about a non-disclosure agreement. Every reporter signs one and I have signed many. There are probably several thousand of them signed weekly in the US. The press is trying to say that as a private citizen or a company owner that if you pay for a NDA then you can never run for any office because it is a campaign finance violation. Cohen admitted guilt for something that was not a crime, happens all the time. How many people pay a fine or ticket because it is cheaper than taking a full day off work to fight it?
