This brings me to tears. I have been following them since the crazy train video was released on the pier. I contacted them about the coffin cases they used. They texted me back. From that point I occasionally texted. I know they are going to go far. I know being transylvanian people back home were not thrilled with rock n roll but the family pushed on. They are true rockers.
I got the pleasure of meeting them. They are polite and humble. Their stage presence is second to none. And Melody even sounds better live..If you can imagine that
This was before the covid shutdowns but they were already thinking of moving from California to Georgia because they have family living there, so maybe this was their song about the possibility of that change 😉, we may never know for sure.
melodia was sick as a dog that night....yet did not miss a beat in the entire show. They also did a Queen tribute number and she did a Janis Joplin cover.....that they also released...

"Close My Eyes Forever" and "Seven Nation Army" are two covers that you should listen to by Liliac. Both are quite different and both show another side to them as a group and as performers. On "Close My Eyes Forever" you get to hear Melody play the flute and on "Seven Nation Army" they take a familiar song to a lot of folks and make it even better than the original and both with excellent videography. "Close My Eyes Forever" also has a featured guest of a friend of theirs doing the vocals with Melody. You really need to hear both of these in order to know the group better. Great reaction as always and keep having fun with what you're doing.
Sam has a real star attitude and skills. And Melody's voice also!
As far as hearing Melody vocally (not just rocking out), Liliac has done two songs which lean this way. You already watched "Sail Away" and the second song would be a cover of "Close My Eyes Forever" which is a duet between Melody and Mercury Cross.

Wow my family was individually great in different sports some of us played college ball but this family is awesome made it to the top I would have rather been a great musician these guys are awesome keep going far you all deserve it

Trying to spread the word, possibly you've heard and/or seen already, Liliac has put out a new song called "Somber Cry". It's posted as a lyric video but IMHO, the video, or "non-video", fits the song perfectly. If you haven't been tipped off about it then you'll be pleasantly surprised with it. Many of us fangs have asked for it, and Liliac delivered.

They released Live Videos of their Originals called Vertigo and Let Me Go as well.
I personally like their songs We Fight We Fall and Wild One best, both Audio Only.

I agree about hearing her do something different, out of her wheelhouse so to speak. They did a Dio Cancer Fund Tribute song "The Last In Line", and the opening lines are very soft and mellow. After hearing her voice at that moment for those few lines you know she could do it. Those vocals are deserving of an entire song of their own. It would almost be like a Tom MacDonald doing a pop love song or the sort, ha!

Idk if it counts as out of her wheelhouse but she did Nirvana and Queen.
There was also the Rihanna cover and the Pop song Let's Dance if that counts.
I personally would like to hear Melody Cristea try some growling in a Metalcore/Deathcore song. I'm sure she could do it.
I'd also like to hear her do more opera like in Dear Father and Symphony Of Destruction.
@@jonathanwatson5818 I would say that “Stay” would fall into that. And as great as that is, she was very young. Need something with her currently. Sorta like Lauren Babic, who does death metal one song then hits soft and beautiful on an Adele song.
@@scrogg13 I would like Babic to get together with Melody, I think they would make a good team and maybe Babic could teach Melody how to growl just to add something else to her skills.

Sam is an amazing guitarist, and has been for a long time! That with Melody’s amazing vocals, plus how good the rest of them are along with their going to writing their own songs has taken them to me almost to the level of The Warning, if not equaling them. All they really need is the touring experience that The Warning has had this year.

Liliac finished their 3rd USA Tour last year, this year they should be doing a European Tour possibly and releasing their new album, which will be their 2nd LP, I have their EP Chain Of Thorns and their LP Queen Of Hearts. I saw them Live in February and my cousin sent me their Moonlight Tour shirt with the dates on it for Christmas.
I do know they will be on the Monsters Of Rock Cruise 2023 with Queensryche, Stryper, Doro, and Burning Witches.
@@jonathanwatson5818 I do like both bands but Liliac went down in my estimation when Melody egged on by Sam made a sarcastic remark about the Warning, the girls didn’t ask for that and thankfully they ignored it! That’s really breaking the rules of the business!
To me it was an act of jealousy and seeing them getting a big chunk of the limelight especially when Lzzy Hale did her interview about the Warning!
I'd have to agree with you! Yes they have come a long way since the pier days, but I think the larger venues are coming, at some point larger bands will have them as a opening featured performance, if not to tour with them, not sure how that would pan out with LILIAC being an independent band, but when you receive kudos from someone such as Rob Halford , that's a definite indication that the big bands are taking notice for sure! I'm hoping they have the success that will allow them to travel the world over time! I've followed them a little over 5 years now ( but feels like just weeks!) And have truly enjoyed seeing them evolve to where they are now! And they are getting better and better , I'm allways aw struck by thier capabilities! I think people see them as LILIAC, not so much as the cutesy little family group, but a fierce band to take notice of! THEY ARE COMING UP AND QUICKLY!!!! AND THEY ARE DAMM GOOD!!! And now having a home studio at thier fingertips I think greater things will happen for them!!! I hope they remain independent.and not fall into a predictive category as so many do just to sell music! Hope they keep growing and thinking outside the box!!!
@@DarrellW_UK Honestly, I don't think that Melody saying The Warning would be opening for them was bad in the grand scheme of things. There have been far worse things said by bands in the music industry, it was quite tame. Metallica and Megadeth come to mind for one example.

Rosalie, I was listening to some you tube music and a string started of your reactions to Liliac 9-11 months ago. I had seen them before, but in listening to your commentary, I thought you might interested in their "Somber Cry" Lyric video. It very good and has elements that are substantially different from their normal rock music. It is more of a Ballad (like Sail Away), and is unique in one major element. Sam sings the lead and Melody backs him up. If you are interested in doing more Liliac, I would choose that one.
Rosalie Great job with your reaction and thoughts on Mars live performance from Lilica it's one of my favorite songs from Them. Second one Sail Away love your shirt it's very colorful and very vibrant.
The line in the song quote "Goodbye To Gravity" is a tribute to a Romanian Metal band which some members were killed in a fire.

For a different slant on her singing try SAILAWAY ,DEAR FATHER or CLOSE MY EYES FOREVER Melody has a great vocal range including operatic tones ad she even dabbles in Mongolian throat singing . I love this their most requested song for reactors because of Sams double solos and Abigail lighting up the stage with her smile . Great lyrics. Loved the guitar solo at the beginning. You should also check out two other guitar players, namely Marcin Patrzalek and Alex Misko, though not together, or people will compare them, and that wouldn't be fair to either.
I'm hoping Sam dose more guitar covers with the Dio music and play some TONY IOMMI!!!! Like LONELY IS THE WORD!!! and do it in the studio where he can play both guitars from the song!!!! I'll give the other 2 you mentioned a listen! But I want to hear Sam get dark and deep!! Technique he has for sure, I want that plus the emotional aspect added to the sound!!! Either way I'm still a BIGFANG4LIFE !!!!!!!
