Vokera combi boiler. Blocked heat exchanger. Full service.

Stripping down this Vokera combi boiler after the heat exchanger was found to be blocked. For gas safe engineers.

I have a 14 year old vokera unica 28 he which has had only 2 repairs and is working ok,it gets serviced every 3 years and is basic but thats all you need.

Vokera technical told me the reason it produces all that sediment is that the CO2 readings are out, the adjusted on the gas valve.
They are horrible little boilers to work on

The new ones with stainless heat exchangers are decent. Hated any of the older or order style ones

Mate if you ever get blocked condi like that again try this, remove float from trap, reattach trap to chb, fit flex hose to trap, blow down hose till blockage clears(like a bagpipe) , direct water into bucket. carry out flush of main h/ex/service. Its so much easier than trying to stick something up the pipe. Also, for cleaning h/ex, use a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle 👍👍

I've heard of people just pouring the coke in the flue or FGA port and using the conveyor to see the height of the coke line.
