Many thanks for this pattern, Tried it at Rutland yesterday in the margins from Manton to Sailing Club, but no joy. However did manage big Brownie, Not quite 9lbs just an ounce under on the popper minkie off the top. Think your pattern will work well at Grafham. Going there next week and will give the pattern a go.
Hi Steve, I tied this fly as a fry pattern a few years ago , with a humongous fritz silver body and slaughtered trout at the back end of the season ( they all went back safe and sound) but I can see that your fly will catch fish from the beginning to the end of the season , I’ll tie up a few and give them a go. hi Steve just went to hobby craft store in Liverpool they dont sell that foam ,,only 2mm ,,but was a nice day out ,,
