  • Fantastic SNS Kettle Grill, Packaged well and easy to put together! Great to partner with SNS Grills!
    • The grill arrived packaged beautifully and every piece inside was packaged nice as well.
    • Assembly was not too bad and for me who usually takes twice as long to put things together, this was not too bad. I did make a few errors and had to redo some step, but overall not bad.
    • I probably did not come across as good as I wanted to on the legs, but compared to other kettles, these legs were a dream to attach! So easy.
    • My first thoughts are this was well thought out and has some great improvement over the other kettle I had. I still have it, but shortly our daughter’s fiancé will be taking this home with him along with the slow ‘n sear and the griddle.
    • We will continue to review this grill as we start cooking! Stay tuned, we have a bunch planned in a short amount of time to show what this can do!
    • We did partner with SNS Grills and received this grill at no cost. Our job is to give an honest review and that is what we will do. The Slow ‘N Sear bronze package was purchased by us.

    Hi - I just assembled mine yesterday. You're supposed to twist that ash clearing handle so it is at twelve o'clock / six o'clock (not 11 o'clock / 5 o'clock). After inserting it, you have to sort of twist it and then kind of force it so that it snaps into place so that the bump on the rod slips into the slot on the small part #11. This is assuming you've got the small part (part #11) underneath the bowl positioned correctly per the instructions. The directions are not clear on this but the graphics do show how it should be even while it's difficult to understand. See pages 16 & 17. The way you have it, the ash clearing rod could work its way out eventually. Hoping this might help others who are assembling this. Thanks for the vid!

      Mark Ennes Thanks Mark! That is a great explanation on how to do that step! I actually fixed mine after it pulled out when I was using it. I would agree, that was the one step that was not the easiest to follow along. There were a lot of parts, but all pretty east to follow! You will enjoy your new grill. We post a video on this grill every other cook right now. Please feel free to post more, I am just a backyard griller who likes good food and always try to make it better each time! Cheers!

      I didn’t do an actual seasoning, but I do put a load of charcoal in and play with the vents to understand some of temperatures settings will do and then open the vents and let it go until the charcoal is done to burn off any oils on the grill. Enjoy! Cheers!

    I have no reason to replace my weber just yet. If SnS made one with a cart system like the weber performer premium (the one sans the stupid starter), I would jump on it right now.

    • @beers-jackofbbq
      @beers-jackofbbq  Před 3 lety

      I actually had the performer that had the side table, not the really large table. What I like about this table is how compact the grill is when it is folded down, but that is because I don’t need much table space on my patio. I gave my Weber to my son in law so I could add this one to my grill collection! Cheers!

    Nice video, although I got a little choked up when I saw the Weber get covered up..... I was relieved to hear that it's going to your son in law though. While I really like my SNS products (SNS Version 1 and 2, two SS drip n pans and two 18" SS charcoal baskets) I can't seem to get excited about this one. But I am a Weber guy with over a dozen vintage and modern kettles in various colors and I love the Americana feeling and being able to share their history over cooks with family and friends. I guess you could say I'm a sentimental grill guy. All that aside, I love your channel and am looking forward to seeing you cook on this. I'm thinking if you had a '69 fire engine red or chocolate mist kettle there you wouldn't give it away or trade for a new chinese model. I appreciate and look forward to some honest reviews on this..... cheers and happy birthday!

We still have a Weber gas grill and I just got the Jumbo Joe this year. I do like improvements and my history with my previous kettle was only 2 years. My son in law is looking forward to getting it and I am also giving him the slow n sear and drip in griddle that I got for that one! So far, this grill seems to be very well built and I do like the improvements that are on this grill! Cheers!

    Killer looking grill. In my research on it I love the 4 legs. The 3 legs on my Weber allow it to move around a lot when I’m cleaning the grates. The folding side table is money. My question is do the 5 fans on the bottom move all the ash out? Another problem with the 3 on my Weber is that there spots those 3 fins never hit. Thanks! 🍻

    Great video. Thank you. Question, looks like the lid head space is shorter then the Weber. Meaning can’t do a 4lbs beer can chicken. Can you confirm?

    • @beers-jackofbbq
      @beers-jackofbbq  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks! Sorry for the delay, but I knew the SNS did have lower profile, but I no longer have the Weber here. I did remember a video that showed this, just watched again. The Weber has 3/4” more clearance from the top of the lid to the grate. I have not done a beer can chicken on either, so I wanted to give you the measurement. I usually do my whole chicken spatchcock. Hope that helps? Cheers!

    • @beers-jackofbbq
      @beers-jackofbbq  Před 4 lety +1

      BEER/BBQ/BASEBALL My answer would be yes, I have done 3 racks of ribs with the slow n sear in the grill. 2 racks on the main grate and one on the extender rack. You do have to reposition them since the temp is different between the 2 levels. I have also done a full grill of chicken and used the rack, again with the SNS in. It is a pretty cheap option to get one, I did get mine from SNS Grills. Hope that answers your questions? Cheers!

    just got a wewber master touch,,why should I get a sns kettle grill?

    • @beers-jackofbbq
      @beers-jackofbbq  Před 4 lety +2

      Ken Roman I am in sales, so let me give it a shot? LOL With you getting a new grill it would be a tough sale. What I like about this grill is the improvements they made over the Weber. Many users modify their grills with a port hole for the probes, the smoke hole for their electronic temp controllers and some have put in an extra temp gauge at the vent. This has it all and the ash bucket is much easier to empty. Weber is a great company, but has not done much to improve the kettle. What I like about SNS is all they do to enhance the grilling. As you can tell, I am a big fan, but it is because of what they do. The reason I bought my Kamado Joe years ago over the Big Green Egg was for the same reason. BGE did not do anything to make grilling better, KJ put in all kinds of improvements. How did I do? Cheers!
