They're trying to scare him into taking the deal, a conviction by trial or a deal is a guilty verdict, which is their end game
Yep. If he was a poor black man, he would have a court appointed attorney and he would be convinced by his own officer of the court (court appointed attorney) to take the deal. The " no jail time" is the key to the D.A.'s trick. The goal is to rack up "convictions" for employment security and promotional objectives only. The court appointed attorney is motivated by earnings for no time or work invested. The court appointed attorney is expected to convince his court appointed client or be subject to not being appointed as an attorney by the local judicial system again. A lot of attorneys come out of law school directly into the local D.A's office into private practice funded by earnings from court appointed attorneys' fees. The accused black man has a "criminal record" that will condemn him to a lifetime prohibition to high level employment and low income hardship - if not reduced to criminal activity to earn a living. For misdemeanor crimes, the trick is for the D.A to offer "dismissal" with short jail time to still rack up convictions. The poor black defendant takes the deal with the illusion of no criminal record - not understanding the jail time is on the record and used against him for the rest of his life..

Where is the footage from the hotel and the hotel’s elevator . The elevator’s have cameras inside as a part overall security measures those cameras are primarily used for these reasons and to monitor record activities with in the elevator to ensure the safety of both the security guard staff and guests. So what ever she said to security guard it’s on video camera footage and that’s an important question Roland should have asked her, making security felt he should have called 911 plus the recording of the 911 call during and after whoever made the call,because 911 is still recording even after the call has ended And ambulance also have cameras front and inside of their vehicles , that is pointing at the scene before and after for their and patient’s safety, so where is that footage and what was said inside as well .

Obviously, the hotel released the information of his arrest and the allegations. The ADA was not admitting fault for released information, she was admitting fault for the office, a victim advocate or someone similar, not contacting the young lady to give proper updates. It's unfortunate she thinks what he did has now negatively impacted her. Classic DV victim behavior
I love KPJ as a BBall player and followed his journey and it seems like it has always been some kind of struggle and I know he probably needs support as well. I hate this situation has happened to her and I hope KPJ can move positively forward.

This is a textbook example of how partner abuse victims often try to give cover to their abusers. "I ran into a door" , "It wasn't him, it was me" , "I made him angry"...

The fact that her mother is defending her and this situation with Kevin tells me all I need to know. I doubt any mother would defend a man abusing her daughter. Especially for those kinds of injuries that he supposedly did. Her mother seems very upset and knowledgable to what's going on. Also, people saying there's pictures of her. I see pictures of her SISTER bruised up with a neck brace on! NOT HER!!. I have been in a situation with the law and they will make up scenarios to go with their narrative. I believe her!!! She seems smart and can articulate herself very well. She has a big platform and if those things actually happened to her there's no reason to defend him.
