Ultra Hydrobhobic Material ( Gentoo )
Gentoo is the next generation of corrosion-resistant and easy-cleaning coatings. With its combination of high performing abrasion resistance and very low sliding angle, Gentoo excels where other coatings have fallen short

    Triiodide
n chemistry, triiodide is usually referred to the triiodide ion, I−
    3. This anion, one of the polyhalogen ions, is composed of three iodine atoms. It is formed by combining aqueous solutions of iodide salts and iodine.

    Hydrogel
Hydrogel products constitute a group of polymeric materials, the hydrophilic structure of which renders them capable of holding large amounts of water in their three-dimensional networks. Extensive employment of these products in a number of industrial and environmental areas of application is considered to be of prime importance

    Nitinol
Nitinol alloys exhibit two closely related and unique properties: shape memory effect (SME) and superelasticity (SE; also called pseudoelasticity, PE). Shape memory is the ability of nitinol to undergo deformation at one temperature, then recover its original, undeformed shape upon heating above its "transformation temperature".

    Magnetic Thinking Putty !
Magnetic Thinking Putty takes regular "silly" putty and turns its awesomeness up to 11. Like any other putty, it can be stretched, bounced, molded, popped, and torn. However, when this putty is in the presence of a magnetic field, it exhibits fascinating properties

Mendeleev isn't the only guy who we have to thank for the PSE. But this also bothered me. RobotHorseAaron gallium isnt as expensive as the video made it out to be, since buying kilos of the stuff doesnt make sense to the average person who would probably want a few dozen grams at most. plus gallium is toxic, not as much so as mercury, but i wouldnt want to ingest the stuff. indium is the only truly non toxic metal. sounds like the video is more clickbait than accurate facts. a good twenty minutes of research could have told you the info they got wrong.

Aerogel is pretty cool, but you totally missed all of the innovation of the last 10 years. The original aerogel had amazing insulating and strength per weight characteristics, but suffered from extreme brittleness. There are now some incredible descendents of that technology which eliminate those weaknesses, aerogels that have similar strength to weight ratios and nearly as good insulating properties while also being extremely plastically deformable. By that I mean objects that cannot only hold 500x+ their weigh, but be bashed repeatedly with a hammer without fracturing. Pretty unreal stuff, definitely a sad omission here (IMO).
Good video though! I'd love to have some gallium to play with!!
