Just absolutely hate this area. The rest of the game has been fun and I'm working towards 100% completion, but the only place in the game that I can complain about is here. The Crater and Jungle, the level design just throws a huge wrench in the flow of play and consists of far too much backtracking with too many different paths. It's just not their best work by any means. Especially when I was having to take on a centaur boss, flame phantom, AND a dragon at the same time because of... because of... Well, I have no idea why the developers thought that would be fun.

The map and the compass on this game straight up suck ass. They are both the worst I have ever seen in a game. How can I be walking towards my objective and be getting further away. Also the objective jumps all over the compass from one all the way to the other with just a slight movement of the stick. This game is 7 out of 10 at best. They really blew it out of their ass on this game

There's one thing I haven't been able to figure out though. When you first get to the crater there's a path blocked by rocks with two weak points for the spear. I've tried detonating them both and Mimir said something like "usually there are three weak points for something like this". I haven't been able to find any videos or walkthroughs to explain how to get through it, would you happen to know?
It was awhile ago that I did that myself. I recall walking away from it, and eventually stumbled upon the fact that the 3rd weak point is actually on the other side of the rock wall that you're talking about. I know that doesn't give you the specific answer you were looking for, but it does confirm that there's nothing you can do from where you're standing to get through that section and that you're really looking to get to a vantage point where you can see and aim at the other side of the wall to break through. Good luck.

@@gravy117 lol, i just stumbed across the vantage point in another video moments ago. It's right near the celestialaltar in "the plains" where you look down and see the one stop you can target from that vantage point while also being able to see the golden glow from the other side.
@@gravy117 I just stumbled across the vantage point in another video while trying to complete something else. Let me try to describe it for you. Right after you finish the casualty of war favor you navigate back to the celestial altar within "The Plains" (you can navigate directly there via the mystic gateway that's steps away.
Now, position yourself so that the mystic gateway is on your immediate right with you looking at the cestial alter and there's the pathway on your left. Take the few steps to the area that would allow you to drop down to that opening and from this spot you can see on the immedate right the rock wall that you were trying to get through. The 3rd piece of stone that you need to spear is right there and you should even see the glowing parts from the other side of the wall that you were looking at before. I hope that helps.
Um, kid, you don't have to detonate the spears individually like you do. If you hold square they all detonate at once giving you a much better damage output. I laughed out loud watching you do that newb move. Maybe, you should learn the BASIC game mechanics if you want to make guides. Duh.
