Good work, bold decisions and commitment to national security all get questioned by the lack of communication. Communication is always the post event activity with Modi Govt. It is very sad that opposition parties, groups inimical to the country take advantage of this and create violence. Govt does not even proactively does anything to stop this nonsense. This pattern is seen from day 1 of Modi Govt when it issued ordinance for land acquisition in 2014 and it continues thereafter. Farm laws is the latest example wherein laws had to be repealed finally. Modi must think over this deeply and ensure correction.

Salute to ANI & ThePrint. Very Good interview.
Some peoples are always pathetically opposing anything which is necessary for the future.
2 by 3rd of India's military budget is spending on the salary, pensions and other compensations. What Indian Armed Forces spending on modernization by procurement and R&D is way less compared with the amount and percentage of money spent by other world powers. This approach will make Indian forces weaker and weaker in upcoming decades and will be vulnerable in case of war or terrorism. What we need is modernization of security forces with latest weapons and technology which is happening with all other world super powers. India is far behind on this. Our soldiers will become martyrs and die like termite fly in the war field operations if we don’t upgrade our security forces.
Use of more number of soldiers with outdated weaponry will only increase the casualties and death counts. Do we need that???
Our armed forces lost many of its brave soldier’s life in various wars ( 1,383 in India - China war, 3000 in India-Pakistan war, 527 in Kargil war, more than 5000 in Jammu and Kashmir terrorism, 20 in China-India skirmishes, and more in other attacks and wards ). Much more are handicapped, wounded and there are stilling missing personnel.
We don’t want our soldiers perish in the battlefield against modern weapons and technologies. Our efficient brave soldiers will need most modern weapons, equipment, technologies.
Agnipath Scheme enhance the phase of change by providing an opportunity for more youth to serve in security forces for short term and increases the efficiency of force by selecting 25% of the best of best among Agniveers. Also this will reduce the budget allocation on salary, pensions and other compensations. So that, the fund can be diverted to necessary upgradation of forces which is what we need in modern national security and wars.

youngsters age 21 after having served in the army for 4 years, leave the army by choice and use the amount provided to get admission ( NEET ) in an engineering college ( Lets assume a tier 2 private college ).
With the confidence that he gained in the army, he would be an utterly confident and fit young man, sitting in the placement drives of leading IT companies with his chest pumped up with pride and honor.
Provided that he studied normally without backlogs, he will be recruited. at around 4-6 LPAs which then within the next 3-4 years go to around 20 LPA.
( I am an IT guy from a normal average BE college with 5 years of experience now, so I know my numbers ).
I have seen young men with no english background from rural areas of UP and Bihar gradually picking up C/ Java/ Python in engineering colleges and then going ahead to achieve amazing things in life in cities like Bangalore, Pune etc.
Lets look at the bright side, this scheme has the potential to provide bright young fit men to the nation, who can go ahead to do diverse things in their life with confidence.
Why bogging everything down with negativity etc.
No one is going to feel rejected after 4 years,
IMHO 10-15% will opt out themselves. remaining 85 will compete for the 25% Full enlistment which will provide an exceptional fit and capable pool of young soldiers who can go ahead to become young JCOs and May be using the ACC entry to become officers.
Remaining 60 % can follow other career aspirations.
No one really is thinking about a possibility of a lot of youngsters from well to do families opting to join the army as young soldiers just to experience a thrill and kick of being a soldier for 4 years before going ahead to start giving a hand to their fathers Business or engineering or May be give IELTS to study abroad.
Why are we stuck at a contention that this is the only means of lively hood available for the lower middle class youth.

This is both a challenge and an opportunity. One hand the Agnipath scheme has the opportunity to create a huge reserve army for future, creates a new generation of trained confident men to lead work in all parts of society.
On the other hand, if botched up, it creates a bunch of resentful youth with weapons and combat knowhow that can cause serious damage to internal security if they get organized against the state which they may feel wronged them. Only time will tell.

  • @rakeshkumarshrivastava3392

ANI and anchor have achieved the mastery in managed interview. Therefore more contentious issue relating to instant termination of ongoing recruitment process is easily evaded.

No doubt on decision taken by doval sir.he is a practical aproached person.god bless you sir. NSA persons like doval sir our country will always safe.

  • @sandeeputtamchandani6814

i dont expect a national security advisor to be so so so clear and composed in his language and conveying of message. Mind you he is not a politician who faces interviews or anchors everyday. Not once he uttered a word or spoke a sentence which could have been taken out of context and used for some sizzling news. Not once did he even disrespect peaceful protestors against the agnipath scheme and also respected the right to protest in a democracy. To be so powerful and so cool headed and noble is a great quality. Amazing man. Naman to you sir🙏

@@harmeetsingh9446 neither he nor any army senior has made this decision.
Ajit doval as a NSA ( A stands for advisor ) and other army veterans with so much of experience certainly make for very good advisors. The decision making is finally upto to the elected representatives.

Also now those who could not make the cut in 25% would end up being part of the civil society and thus the civil society will be more disciplined and loyal to the nation with the ethos of a soldier

Thank you for explaining 'What is Agnipath'. Leadership both political & military, has vision of creating society which is disciplined & nationalistic. Bedsides it will also infuse young blood in military. I must honestly agree that i had not taken efforts to know more about this however was sure that it is being put in place as part of 'NATION FIRST' because there were organised violent protests damaging our own property / My India.

  • @rajeswarichandran3266

    Kudos to Ajit Dowalji
This was an excellent explanation given to remove these fears created, of course , by "span" throwers. Whose need is to against BJP who had the courage to implement this scheme fr the security of the Nation. We hv to talk and think of Indian Army and not from different regiments .. opposition parties feed fear of varies kinds in the
in minds of the people. BJP is willing to introduce this scheme without fear of election.

wonderful interview. Mr. Doval clarified without offending anyone. Agniveer, in my opinion, will resolve the major issue of employability of our so-called graduates - besides the primary purpose of National Security. How I wish our opposition will continue to look for their political gains without damaging the National Interest and without corrupting the minds of our citizens with baseless fears and undeliverable promises.

Suggest that even corporate and public sector must have army type trading.
Over time corporate recruit trainee engineer but never give training but use them direct to regular assignment

irony is only for a new thought, vision to be understood, one needs to rise above ones circumstantial needs and lens... that approach will lead to short sightedness not visionary approach.. We as a society are used to thinking big... we just need to touch that side of us to appreciate innovative approaches!
