I saw this exact concert in Dallas when I was 16 years old and it blew me away- still does.

I love everything Tori does, shes one of the best live solo acts Ive ever seen. I like this too...but...I have to vote for Alices original for real impact, IMHO.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful interpretation of the song that describes my 2nd marraige as if she were truly there.

Yeah I am quite suprised she didn't but it on the Strange Little Girls CD.

Tori was so cool on Punked when the kid asked her about being in Melrose Place.

Just checked out Alice's version for comparison. I think this ones nicer, because its softer and considering what the song is about, is so much more fitting. Tori is a beautiful singer and is a great pianist. She does such an amazing cover of a great song. Thanks so much for posting.

hey, a cover isn't made to be better than the original! the difference it that tori puts the sensibility of a woman in this song... and it turns out to be amazing in it's softness and sadness.

Thanks for posting this! Tori does a great version...but it still can't touch Alice's original. This song just means more coming from the man's point of view, especially with Alice's inflections on it. No one can match that.

I think Tori's version makes you understand the meaning of the song much more than Alice's. Hers is more poignant

FWIW, Dick Wagner who co-wrote the song with Alice Cooper says Wensday's version is the best. But, I think he would like this one too. IMO, Alice's version is over the top and loses the message among the theatrics.

Indeed a great cover. I don't get uncomfortable when I hear it, but hey, that's just me. I must also agree with Gorgrann; I think it has more impact coming from a man. But hey, that's just me...

She does it in a very fragile way from a woman's perspective...because Alice NEVER could FEEL how it is to bleed (of course)

He wrote the song - he should know the chord inversions, but since he has passed on now, be nice and respect the dead please. He was my friend for 20+ years.

Written by a man named Alice - go figure. I think she does OK with it, but I think it's more surprising coming from a man - stops one in one's tracks a bit more.
