Vince Carter dunked so good I almost forgot he had a jump shot too
Add that to a layup package out of this world. One of the original "jelly fam" Kings in the NBA.
Same but dude could shoot lmao
Still top ten all time 3 point shooter
And a 3pointer
Fr, I thought he couldn't shoot
Vince will always be one of my favorites players ever.
Ever ! Great dude ! Great player ! The best dunker of all time and maybe greatest net top 5 ! Overall a hall of famer ! One of the greatest hoopers of all time and a great person as well . Definitely makes my 15 man roster of all time players !
This GAVE ME goosebumps!
I agree!! ALWAYS!!
watched him in his rookie year in the NBA his dunks were unbelievable. So inspiring. Him and McGrady where my favs from their generation
His interview after retiring during Covid will always be one of my favorite basketball moments of his.
First thing he mentions is being lucky enough to be alongside Kidd. Love the humble attitude despite the criticism he faced for being traded
Made me smile when he mentioned his number being next to Jason Kidd.. That's honorable..
The criticism isn’t that he was traded it’s that he forced his way out of Toronto when he was the only star they’ve ever had. Glad to see he claims somewhere else as home because it ain’t Toronto. Kahwai did more in 8 months and slapped the city in the face but we’ll still claim him
Raptor for life
@@macgregorallin6974vince put your team in the map of nba. no one cares about raptors before him
@@rockdon8999hell raptors wouldn't be in Canada if it wasn't for vince look at the grizzlies they were in vancouver but moved cause they had low attendance numbers. The only reason Canada still had an nba team is vince. Raptors need to retire his Jersey they already made a video tribute to him they can retire his number too
Before he was in Jersey, he was and still is Air Canada. Always and forever.
People are quick to forget
The Raptors' front office didn't get the memo.
He's being inducted as a toronto raptor...
Didn't do anything significant for the nets. Vince is the reason Canada has a basketball team
Facts 1000x1000
Used to watch the games in high school abroad, because of time difference, used to stay up till 3-4 AM just to watch that whole generation, VC, A.I, TMac, Kobe…Thank you Vince !
That was one of the greatest times to watch NBA basketball '90s, 2000s, and 2010s. All you see in today's games is just 3-point shooting.
So I guess your parents didn't care about you😂
It was the same for me, brother. The good old days and sleepless nights. I recorded NBA games on VHS tapes, then we watched them at school with the boys and the sports teacher.
Nothing greater than that era . Now everyone and they grandma think they Larry bird
Wow ppl downvoting the top comment
His humility brings a tear 😢. Him and his cuz were brutal❤
Why u crying mane
@@WingoTribe704 See I asked the same question when I saw Denzel Washington crying in “Glory”. But when I got older and watched that movie again, that man just so happened to have water running down his face because he didn’t want him and his fellow black soldiers to go to war barefooted. You being from Charlotte should know how much a beast VC was in college and the crazy things he did years after. He left his ego on the court unlike Shaq he gotta boast it everywhere. We need more great men without the ego.
@@OnlyBanzho so u crying cause he left his ego?
imagune if both he and tracy had developed with a third star help?
@@WingoTribe704😂😂😂
The fact Toronto hasn’t already done this is mind boggling.
Should be Vince, then Lowery.
Vince put not JUST Toronto, but an entire COUNTRY on the basketball map.
Basketball in Canada would definitely not be what it is today, if not for Vince.
I think the way he left is the reason they haven't done so
I promise to you that I was literally just saying the same thing that Toronto should show him some love. Because if you allow your two star players(who are ironically cousins)to slip away over front office issues? Well I blame Toronto 100%! Kudos to Brooklyn for showing this legend some much deserved love!!!
They should
@@badmontingz1219 Yeah that’s why but as a Raptors fan that’s not an excuse it’s been 20 years he inspired the next generation of Canadian hoopers and helped Toronto stay in Toronto unlike the Grizzlies
Fck Toronto. That franchise threw him to the trash. Assholes

I know the Nets never won a ring with him or anyone else there. But he was critical in revitalizing that franchise. Incredibly entertaining player to watch. Tough competitor, nice guy, and all around gamer. Congrats to him. Won’t forget the dunks on Zo.
Love your reasoning this is my reasoning for melo with the knicks. Didn't win but revitalized the knicks during his tenure
@@jreyes8860 gotta give em the credit for destroying Linsanity as well… kidding but yeah Melo deserves a bit more praise as far as Knicks go

Man this guy was an absolute monster. As a Heat fan I HATE how he did Zo but he absolutely deserves that number in the rafters. Class act and one of the best dunkers the world has ever seen
Vince Carter was such a great player and such a great person off the court . A very humble guy 👍🏾
I also loved the respect he showed for Jason Kidd "especially next to that guy, I'll take it"!💜💜
One of or probably most athletic freak of nature in the NBA. Injuries slowed him down unfortunately but like all amazing athletes, he then worked on and developed his shot more. Watching him come down the lane and taking off in the prime of his career was truly something to behold
Half Man Half Amazing ! We love Carter 15 🇨🇦
Ya
The real Half Man Half Amazing actually played for And 1
@@ubolthongone2008 no disrespect to Anthony Heyward, but he couldn't touch VC. I loved the And1 guys, but street ball doesn't translate to the league whatsoever. Skip was the only one that ever made it.
Dude is one the most freakish athletes we’ve ever seen and he’s humble asf
Vince carter never gets old
Well deserved young man. You made the game a beautiful game to watch. Glad to have lived in a time that we could all watch your game. This is awesome.
This man was more than just a dunker. He had an excellent jumper, midrange & three. Plus nice handles. No weaknesses.
Loved VC ever sincebut he lost his killer instinct after that series loss post graduation of his. Should’ve been talked about along kobe if he didn’t lose that series.
Vince so humble ❤!
Congragulations to Vince Carter. Not only to retire his jersey at Brooklyn Nets, his jersey number should retire at Toronto Raptors as well.
I wouldve expected the raptors to do it first lol

He's overcome with emotion. You can tell how much this means to him
Half man, half amazing.. I personally think that this is actually one of the best and the cooliest nickname for any athletes or artists or any human being. Thx Vince Carter! Always big fan of yours from the day Raptors drafted you in 1999!
My favorite player of all time since I was about 10. Thank you for all the memories Vince 🥲
The fact that the nets are retiring his jersey before the raptor is just shameful. Get your stuff together Toronto and do the proper thing.
The way he left Toronto, we know that jersey will never retire

Vince was more than just an awesome dunker. He was such a great player...Well deserved..One of the greats!!!!
And one of the all-time greats in his charity work, too. Dude spent just as much time volunteering & raising money for charities as he did on the court. Truly a special person.
I lived in Chapel Hill when he got there and I walked into the Dean Smith Center one day to watch a preseason practice when he was a freshman. He didn’t play like a freshman at all, and at one point pulled off a monster dunk with his signature grace and power that made it clear he was something special. Very cool to see this result for him. Class act, too.
Indeed, one of the most electrifying players to ever play in the NBA and he seems like a very genuine dude.
Vince carter, the greatest dunker in human history, one of the biggest potential too. His dunk on Fred is the best dunk in basketball history and no one can replicate that dunk. Thanks for the good memories and thanks to nets organisation for celebrating this very humble Man.
Half Man. Half Amazing. The Legend. My favorite NBA Player of all time. Congratulations, Mr. Vince Carter. We love you ♥️
Vinsanity! Well deserved bro' ! He had Flubber in his gym shoes! VC could flat out Hop! One of the greatest leapers in NBA history. 🏀
Vince Carter's a bad man. 😎 he still looks like he did when I played him in NBA Live 2005
NBA live 2005 was my favorite omg . I used to pick the Denver nuggets on there and kill it or the Bucks Michael Redd was cold on there

Him going to the nets was like bron leaving Cleveland for Miami. Obviously not the same out come but him and Kidd were special. Raptors let him and Tracey leave
@@TwanVRr39O TMac didn't know how to play with Vince, since they are so similar. It's the struggle Tatum and Brown have had in Boston for seven years. It's why Brunson had to leave Dallas. I literally stopped being a Raptors fan the year they traded him to the Nets for a bunch of washed up players.
didn't he basically force his way out?
I held on until Bosh bolted for Miami. I'm a day 1 fan who went to games at the Skydome and use to record games on VHS to watch later when I wasn't able to watch the games live. I even still watched majority of the games the year before we drafted Vince when the team went 16-66.
@JamesBond009 Yeah I was there from day one when Isaiah Thomas drafted Damon Stoudamire. I backed this team until they did Vince dirty, and they started selling the Vince turned on us narrative to the fans. I remember when they foolishly dropped confetti because the Raps beat MJ and the Bulls.. 😐
congrats, Vince! youre awesome :-)
I’ll never forget accidentally bumping into him and talking to him and not knowing who he was at chapel hill… one of the nicest humblest people I’ve ever met. It’s a story no one but my closest friend believes because he saw it but I rarely told anyone about it or brought it up. But definitely as good as they come as a human and he deserves all the success he has had.
We loved him here in Dallas too.. Grateful to have had the pleasure to watch a legend like him play for my city
Bro almost cried.
That era of the NEW JERSEY NETS was Amazing...Shout outs to VC...You still look the same Brutha 💯💯💯🔥🔥
Yeah, He looks great at 47.
Love VC! Truly an all-time great! Like many others, his short-term legacy was often diminished by the MJ standard and those comparisons (making people focus on what he wasn't rather than what he was); but now that some of the smoke has cleared, i'm glad he's getting his well-deserved flowers. And that humble spirit magnifies his greatness 💐💐💐
I'll never forget the 2000 Slam Dunk competition, the man revived the event and the stadium energy was incredible.
"Let's go home, let's go home!"
