  • A family home untouched by time since the late 1990s, the world was different back then and you'll see that in this video. As you enter the home you notice how many belongings are left behind, he home was first built in the 1930s and had the same family living inside until 2001. Evidence of water damage has made the home begin self demolition, but we will be navigating nevertheless. The parents master bedroom is collapsing and filled with vintage cabinets 100+ years old, hand painted European cabinets. There's also evidence of multiple children living inside, a baby and a brother, sister. With how much is left behind it feels like you're heading into a time machine, almost a living museum. if you enjoy leave a thumbs up and comment your favorite part ! and consider subscribing for more exploring videos!

I was yelling at you not to walk across the bedroom !!!!!
    Please please be careful!
The cabinet in the kitchen was not a medical cabinet but a kitchen cabinet from the 50's that would have had a fold down front interior middle to use as a worktop. I am in my 60's and we had one !! This before fitted kitchens !
    Be safe .
    Thanks for the explore.

So fascinating! In such a melancholy way. I can imagine the person loading that Dixie cup holder or hanging up those utensils or mugs, never fathoming that they would never use those things again. It does seem like it used to be a charming, well kept house. Probably a couple, living there since the 1950s, raising their own children, and then perhaps one of their children living with them as an adult with their own child. Thus, still using some of the older toys and records and such. There's GOT to be someone out there who remembers this family and why they never came back for any of their things. The adult children are probably still around somewhere. If I were them I'd be so interested to come back and remember my childhood drinking glasses or whatnot. Unless..... the story took a darker turn and after the grandparents passed away the adult children lived there for awhile and didn't keep it up and let it decay and then abandoned it. Sigh! I love a mystery.

Child of the 1970's here. The records, which looked as though they were unopened, were probably in a plastic sleeve which was opened on the right side. This is how you could keep the album cover clean, while still accessing the record. Also, what happened to the Bugs Bunny glass? That is definitely not early Mickey Mouse (AKA Steamboat Willy).

Takes me back to see 1970s furniture. I was born in '91 and my family once owned a motel here in Michigan and the rooms were what you'd call "super retro" these days, since they had 70s and 80s decor, but in the 90s, it was just considered a little bit outdated, so it was acceptable. Just a little background: In the mid-2000s, the motel's insurance company, triple A, wanted to downgrade the motel from being considered a 3-star motel, to a 1-star motel, because it was so outdated and needed so much work. So long story short, sold it, it got domolished, and now the land is owned by some hudge fund somewhere with condos on it. It really sucked to watch my family lose a business they had since the 60s in northern michigan, but it is what it is man! All I will say is, it's important to use credit and loans responsibly or it'll drag you into a pit you can't climb back out of.

It amazes me how you look at a home now a days and you see people don't have much in terms of values, looking at old abandoned homes like this 1 from back in the day people had more.
My home today I can put a piece of everything from home in a bag and bug out if I had to and when I find a hole to squat in I can unpack and have all the creature comforts of home.
Back then you didn't bug out you batten down the hatches and fortified the homestead, the property line was you're line in the sand you defended the homestead from all invaders that saught to conquer and hurt you.
Back then home was a position worth defending and dying to defend if need be.
When you die defending the home everything and everyone in it is 1 of a kind something/someone you will never be able to see or get again when it's gone so you faught like hell to keep it/them together safe in you're home.

A compilation of 1950s-1990s once-a-life ago... not all that long ago in 2023. Some of the furniture definitely belongs to the post-war era of WW2 yet what treasures that could be salvaged, reconditioned or even put in a museum....a waste of memories for the former inhabitants but a real pleasure for those of us who are fascinated by abandoned belongings ❤❤❤

It’s the thing that found that has the pengs on it
You definitely seen it before a lot of pot holders are made from them
All the looney tunes reminds me of my father and mother massive collectors of it
My mom would love all the crochet and plastic canvas and I would love all the fabric to remake all kinds of retro / remake
Items more cropped and more my style and modern with a retro flar with a whole a lot background story while wearing it
The house ver pretty love the purse you found as well and the shoes I could make a whole lot of outfits if I had that kinda stuff and skill

Kenmore appliances reminds me of the old SEARS days which is crazy to me I was born in 2001 we have my dads old home town mall called the
De Soto mall here in Florida now it has been re bought by now but it’s still vacant a lot of them had gone through a lot of changes since the 2006 to 2008 crisis here in America which baffles me since I was so young I’m now 22 at the moment

Beautiful house. Even at first glance it looks nice - from the outside it catches the eye both for its appearance and for its nice green surroundings. Suppose that the technical condition of the house was not the best and it was decided to abandon it. So why was everything left there? We are delighted with it and we are outsiders here - but the owners of all these interesting objects just left them just like that, deciding to start all over again? I am curious about the history of this house and the family living in it.

The records/vinyls were open..We would slit the side of the cover and leave the plastic on to protect the paper cover from spills etc. Oh and we did have TVs in living rooms dating back to the 1950s

You should take those cups.. both the looney toons and the 7up ones. They are worth some money.

Someone’s probably posted this already, but those looney tune glasses were given out at fast food I want to say McDonald’s but I’m not sure we had two whole sets of all of them and you didn’t have a choice you just got what was given out that week. I remember doing this as a child I do believe there’s a whole set in my mothers house somewhere.

Looks like a rental, hence they left the keys. Probably left everything behind cause they knew none of it was worth keeping. They probably just wanted to start over all new. Just my guess. Thanks for another quality vid 👍🏼
