Buying Fortifications Thick & Cheap! - Master Mechanic on Dam - Gears 5 Horde Frenzy Daily 7-27-2021

- With the daily involving Power Surge, which discounted all fortification costs (except weapons) by 30%, I decided to experiment to see how cheap I could get everything, and how abundant of a build you could get! Soooo I ran efficient fabrication, gave them as much health and tankiness as I could, and built an entire fort in the sniper area on Dam.
This is the closest I felt to Gears 4. Not just the map, but the number of fortifications I could build when I had max build cost on the Engineer class. If you see this daily come up again, it's worth trying.
My one piece of warning: Matriarchs are still rude lol. Momma at the last wave didn't slow down from my fabricator which I thought was blocking her, and she ran through my weapons locker and insta-grabbed me out of her run. Even though the death happened, it was at a fairly inconsequential point, and I tried running this again and it didn't have as great of a result soooo here we are.
I've been having this trend lately of dying once, trying the match again, and then having a not-as-good run. Deaths are happening in the spicy runs lol

Cherry I know this doesn’t really pertain to this build but holy crap I just discovered a hell of a combo, tactician’s ultimate (as long as explosive ammo resupply is upgraded) refills the pilots silverback salvo which extends its ult, so if you combine tac with pilot you can literally have an infinite silverback
I REALLY need to try this out, which requires me to grind Pilot A LOT for those Salvo cards. It's one of those cards TC hates giving me at any cost lol
@@CherryQuenchGearsofWar you don’t even really need anything higher than level 4 in my experience but extra levels always help, I was just messing around in roulette and I found it out and I had my silverback for the entirety of waves 5 and 6 including the 20 seconds between waves with out it going down
I see people placing sentry gund onto of cover in some maps. How do people do it?

From what I recall, they were earned by unlocking achievements in the last few games, mainly Gears 4. I'm not sure if they were timed though
@@CherryQuenchGearsofWar thanks, I thought so... sadly I can't get them haha, but I'm glad I didn't miss the Clayton carmine gilded skin, if they were ever to release it it would be between the release of gears 6 and end of 5, hope they do cuz that's my favorite character, I started gears of war on the 3rd iteration, and played every game of gears since then, being my favorite franchise right next to halo and cod.

@@CherryQuenchGearsofWar yes, at 16:52, you have the 2 attacks with the knife and after the attack with the butt of the weapon
@@daxterminator91 OHHHHH the third melee strike just happens when you hold the melee in for the third hit. It'll cause a stun as well
