Scorcher/Breaker Mace Weapon Swap! - Master Striker on Foundation - Gears 5 Frenzy Horde 10-30-2021

- Sooooo...that Torque Bow build didn't get patched out. More so, we're learning more and more about how the weapon swap concept works on more than just the Toruqe Bow!
In this episode, it's the Scorcher. Now this one's more close range and dangerous, so I had a harder time nailing this one down. We were trying this on Forge, Clocktower, and other close quarters maps and if you can find good angles to burn and safely take cover (Canals, Foundation, Command, Turbine, etc) it can DESTROY anything.
But like...you destroy every boss with one active scorcher hit and the weapon swap. Carriers, Matriarch, and Snatchers had no hope in this match. If you can land a hit on a Kestral, it'll work there too!
The hardest part I had with this build was staying safe, and dealing with the scorcher active. You have to make sure you have your active bar ready to go, swap to a flashbang, THEN active reload, then go in and burn. Otherwise, the non-active scorcher damage doesn't apply the burn and the build doesn't work. It takes a little bit of practice to get it rolling effectively.
OH, and make sure to throw some fire on the ground because enemies WILL walk into it and you can just keep your breaker mace out in cover and watch as enemies insta-die!
OH OH, the card build doesn't really matter that much lol. Like...blunt instruments is needed, stim siphon is helpful, and the rest of the cards are also here.

Striker is the most underrated class in the game, it is fun to play and deals a lot of damage.
Tip for everyone if you play mania or another mode,, the pipe wielding hybrids you can use their pipe as a breaker mace/scorcher bow combo :)
This exploit still works. Wished they didn't patch ice from the pilot and bleed from Nomad. Another exploit that many unaware is combat medic "stim barrier." Even if the barrier across the map. The team that is near it can get stim. It works from roady runners and juvies.

Hmmm so, basically, for this build to work the glitch must exist. I would rather depend on a build that is viable regardless of the glitch because that means it will be viable regardless of bugfixes. I don't want to be harsh, it's just that I want to make sure I can help my team despite the existence of a glitch.

The card setup used in this video IS viable though. The problem is the way people play as Striker. They think it’s only good because it can mega bleed enemies with an unintended exploit. It is a very strong and underrated cqc class even WITHOUT the exploit itself. Unfortunately, some people are too focused on using the exploit rather than simply learning the class and playing it correctly.
weapon swap concept..... it remind me escape map [Link], use cole class, burn enemy with not shotgun weapon, then swap weapon to be shotgun, then drone or warden got fire damage.

So... the skillcard for doing damage with breaker mace makes the target bleed a ton of damage.... so... the exploit works like this... you use a GL shoot a grenade volley, then switch to the hammer quickly to get the skillcard buffs related to the hammer/breaker mace like the massive bleed into the grenade launcher volley midflight. Its funny because all it is, is having the skillcard weapon(breaker mace) in your hand by the time the GL launch hits. for the flame thrower/scorcher u active reload it to make the target light on fire, then u switch to the mace to get the massive bleed damage to kick in as well as the burning. it takes some practice to get used to it, but its OP cause the bleed is like 120-150 %. So this is insane with tanky enemies/bosses.

Can anyone tell me how to use the scorcher without setting myself on fire and dying constantly? I hate that thing but I need the medal.
The range is not good enough. You have to be in danger to use it on Masters.
Aim higher than their waist
aim above the waist so u dont light the floor on fire -> yourself on fire for stepping on the burning floor.
so incendiary grenades would do the same thing?
