thanks for sharing. that's an interesting gun. i've never had a smith revolver, believe it or not. i used to have a 439 9mm, my second handgun back in the 80's. revolver-wise i've had rugers, tauri, a llama, an astra, an h&r 922, a colt police positive 32 and an naa lr, which i let go as i couldn't hit with it and had a better micro, the p32.
@@1957Shep anything to help your metrics. i've been watching your content for years. i think your video on the astra 960 was the first one i ever saw on that gun and maybe the first of your content i saw, also. i like the spanish guns and your videos. you are both knowledgeable and informative and also straightforward and honest.
I know a little bit about a lot of different guns. But the down side to that is that I probably don`t know a whole lot about any specific gun. What I say in the videos is true to the best of my knowledge, but my knowledge may not always be complete or completely accurate. I`m sure I have made some errors along the way.
One the box, front sight is marked "RR" which stands for Red Ramp. So it did come that way from the factory. Now as to if it was just made that way, or as the result of a special order, I don`t know. Probably no way to tell without a factory letter. And maybe not even then. Such minor details might not be listed in the records.
@@1957Shep Yeah, what I am saying is that this barrel would have been used on a model 19. Whereas that gun has adjustable rear sights. Not all model 19's had red ramps. But, the rear sight is what I was asking about. The white dots are not normal.
Nice and very collectable model 13. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!

Pinto means in spanish "two colors "more like in horses white and black, great video beautiful revolver
Pinto isn`t actually a S&W model name. It`s a nickname given to these guns by S&W collectors. The name was inspired by the Pinto horses.
I had a model 48 22mag one and A model 27 357 mag.
They are good guns.

The red ramp front sight is not normal for a fixed rear sight. The back sight has two white dots. Was that done at the factory? It is an unusual gun.

Were there any pintos made blue/stainless?
I have seen a couple, but I think they were put together from parts. Not made that way in the S&W factory.
