괜찮아 a.k.a it's okay (trust me) is really good song. the only complain from me are line distribution and specifically the plotting for Handong, she's nowhere before the outro chorus.
idk the reason about that, bcs her voice really suits ballads a lot. no reason for language adaptation bcs she got fine in Emotion and Lullaby which are the earliest 2 ballads
polaris is still my fav ballad from dc i love it so much

of course it's about their fans! all their ballads are for/about insomnias :)
emotion is about not seeing someone for a long period and wondering how they would accept them now. dc's redebut came over 1 year and a half after their last comeback, so there was apprehension how their old fans would accept the 'new' them. that's why the special clip used live vocals to show sincerity and you can kind of tell their acting trying to convey apprehension.
polaris as they describe is a star in the sky they and insomnias can look to at any time and share a common connection no matter how far apart they are.
both are very emotional ballads which caused them to tear up a number of times at their concerts. knowing their ballads, these were the two I would have guessed they would use in their reason tour and behold :D
I believe Siyeon was taking everything in and so some tears had to come out. This happens a lot to her, she's our crybaby. 😉

Polaris is not my favorite ballad. I love Emotion and Lullaby. They get to me every time. There is one more song that everyone misses, a cover of Chakra's Resentment. Maybe you remember them from back in the day? Damn, Andy. Idk if it’s the concert’s fault, but I’ve been listening to a lot of Emotion a lot lately. I never really bother listening to the song prior 😂

I get really critical of ballads because they're the type of song I like to sing for myself, so my opinions of them are usually based on whether or not I like to _sing_ them rather than listen to them. Honestly, a lot of DC's ballads don't hit for me, and I disliked most of them on first listen. Some of them have grown on me now, like "Emotion" and "Rainy Day," but many of them just fall short in my personal ranking system. _As_ songs, they're generally very good. And I like seeing them performed live just because the large majority of them are dedicated to InSomnia, so it always gets the members emotional.
Even the ballads that _aren't_ for InSomnia, or if you choose to interpret the lyrics as not being for InSomnia, though--they're all gender neutral. And I appreciate that.
