Dear was written and composed by Jiu and yes it is a fan song on the Lose Myself album. She was working on it (at least) since Deja vu era because she gave us a little teaser back then so it was emotional for us too when the song got released.
Dear is such a beautiful song but Polaris gets me harder, because it was the last song that dreamcatcher did together before Handong went to China. And just reading the lyrics about being together even when separated, even if it was meant for Insomnia it also became for Handong for the members. I remember how the tears were flowing at this song in the concerts without her, especially when Insomnia sang Handong's parts
Dreamcatcher ballads are so precious. I was so sad that they didn't have one for "Road to Utopia". Jiu's "Dear" is so sweet. And the way she ends the song is so elegant. "Polaris" really tugs at the heart strings. If you do a piano cover of "Dear", I'd like to request you also mimic the chord displacement of the piano. I personally like that. Watch the live performance of "Dear". Probably not as a reaction as it probably will get blocked.
I feel you Brandon ! Ballads and beautiful vocals are such a weakness haha ! I’m more into the rock sound but getting chills from time to time listenning to their bsides is a pleasure ! Btw I don’t want to be insistent and you already a lot of group to deal with but that’s why I also love GFriend and want you to react to them ^^

all dc ballads are for/about insomnias and that's why every album has one :) at concerts they often get teary eyed singing ballads and even completely breaking down like with polaris a few times.
One of the many amazing things from the concerts is all the OT7 songs we got from scream and boca era. Can't wait for the VODs to be released, gonna sit and watch them on repeat for days ^^ As always, a great reaction video, keep up the good work! ^^
