This was great as a young pissed off teen. It's still great as a old pissed off 35 yr old
This was great as a rebellious, honest, small, timid, teen girl, and it's still great as a badass 30yr old woman, still like a bull. 😀😎😄😃😂😁
Totally!!!
You encapsulated my feeling right now. I'm 37.

Rest in peace Jonathan ❤
Rest In Peace, Jonathan, you will always be remembered
Since I was young I listen to Marilyn Manson, today in my 40's when I feel disappointed by some situations, I come back here to enjoy this music which helps me a lot and allows me to vent... He became my friend with whom I can take out everything that bothers me, thank you MM for being here for me ❤
I’m the same way sometimes it just feels like only Marilyn Manson understands what where going through
Hi I Recommend a song called 'The Bond Villain' By Robert Nix
Your not the only one🙂
Hang in there❤
We can get through anything
as a 15 year old i also relate, we can get through this.
Was anyone else afraid of Marilyn Manson as child but appreciated him later on in life?
No, I always wanted his makeup :P
i discovered him when i was 13, and back then i loved the weirdness and originality of it. Still do.
Nope, I was intrigued at 14, I'm 35 now, lol, and I'm still in love with this whole album
It opened my mind in ways kids today won't get to really experience ~♡~
He shocked the world for a purpose, to show those of us misfits had somewhere in this world, well, least back in the 90s~
No. You might be of the church variety though
maybe when i was like 6 first stumbling upon him but after i just thought he was weird and then i got even older and realized how dope he is
This will always have a special place in my heart

I still love this at 36 years old
Bruh this is already 20 yrs old
She's made of hair and bone and little teeth
And things I cannot speak
She comes on like a crippled plaything
Spine is just a string
I wrapped our love in all this foil
Silver tight like spider legs
I never wanted it to ever spoil
But flies will lay their eggs
Take your hatred out on me
Make your victim my head
You never ever believed in me
I am your tourniquet
Prosthetic synthesis with butterfly
Sealed up with virgin stitch
If it hurts, baby, please tell me
Preserve the innocence
I never wanted it to end like this
But flies will lay their eggs
Take your hatred out on me
Make your victim my head
You never ever believed in me
I am your tourniquet
What I wanted, what I needed
What I got for me
What I wanted, what I needed

MTV in the 90's was filled with kickass music videos.
Does MTV even play videos anymore? A few years ago they did for like an hour at 3 am.
And now it's filled with pure shit
No bro its all fucking reality shit now
fact: MTV died in 1998
Them behind Masonic TeleVision uses different mind-control for our youth now(phones etc). We were only participants of different techniques to form public opinion without every saying anything and ofc showing Beavis & Butthead in the real good old days :).
Seriously so many pop artists now and before copying his style. If they only knew how heavily persecuted and the backlash he received from government group and conservative groups of the world during his high eras. He opened so many doors, creative opportunities for other artists now. Now nothing is taboo.
i think it’s good how much we’ve progressed as a society. we are so much more accepting
Ghostemane. Broke in through the soundcloud rap shit a few years ago, and once popular went back to his black metal roots and put some makeup on and people lost their shit. I elect him as our next Manson. Him and Denzel 👍
Angelina Nar like everyone in hip hop ! Lil uzi vert for one.
I love Manson but the real hero there is Alice Cooper for starting the ball rolling while Brian was still in diapers.

You went to Motel 6? Don't they "even leave the light on for you?" But myself and everyone you know/love are glad you're still alive and well rotating on this planet circling the sun. Life is what you make it and it could Always be worse. I go show you voucher from Hell. Life is too short for unnecessary 🐂💩. Be happy. Eat when/what you want. Be different. Normal is overrated.

@Tyler Gold 😂 There’s been evidence of his behavior for years his own band mates sued him for buying nazi stuff with their cash.
Same!!
I personally know someone who has worked with him as a dancer. He said he was the most polite respectful person he's ever met. God bless M.M.
Agreed. Now many would go with a narrative that Marylin Manson incite Eugenes (school shooters, emos and suicidal thoughts, edgelord syndrome)
But during the Columbine Incident interview (when he popped out nobodies)
He was one of the few that called out that the issues was mental health. No one took the time to talk to them and most likely ignore the signs.
But of course, just like Michael Jackson, Metalica, ect, the Mainstream Media have to smudge them with their poison.
Venom Snake: "Yeah, don't blame yourself, blame me."
I would love to meet him!
He's cool. I dislike the people who tried to cancel him
The irony of him being an extreme artist & a gentleman off screen. Then we have celebrities who are absolute *ssholes off screen🤷♂️

There's no way to
@CarmeliTious Sure enough, you're right! I am one of the U.K. Mansonites, and I'm proud of it, even as a Catholic. There is one question that's still on my mind: when is Marilyn Manson going to Britannia again? I don't really know, but it'll probably be sometime in 2020 (this year) or 2021.
If you're past your rock era and have stopped wearing the clothes, I say you never really liked Manson to begin with... The sh*t isn't just a fad that's picked up and put back down...

He’s a phenomenal writer and journalist, he studied a bit back in college. My favorite aspect other than his ability to write is he is a phenomenal articulator and debated Bill O’Reilly quite eloquently.

YES, GOD YES
Manson said he came up with the lyrics and visuals in a dream he had.
Yup, He said it on an interview. When you dont sleep for days & when you do, your dreams become more aggressive. BUT this happend to him cause thats his way of thinking nd constantly working on thats why he gets such dreams
Drugged and sleepless you can do anything
I know that from an interview, and I also know that when antichrist superstar (the album at the time) was still in the works, one of his ex-girlfriends either broke up with him or cheated on him, which he personally knew f**ked him up very emotionally, along with a dream that he had (or maybe a nightmare), in which he wrote this song.
Me too. Just think my mom tore my maddanna poster down so i would become a homosexual whore. Im now a saint. Mm must have dreamt that too.
@@Spookythereaper3 I guess it now makes sense why I get breakup vibes from this song...
I saw him live in Stockholm a bunch of years ago. He was of course high and drunk, the sound was distorted and i he was more screaming than singing. Nothing of the later material was that enjoyable through the distorted sound and the screaming, but i swear that they performed the best version of this song I've ever heard, the shivers all through the whole song was unreal.
I haven’t really been a marilyn manson fan but i can say that this song hits hard…

I've recently started hyperfixating on Manson because of my boyfriends mom again (I was a fan growing up anyways but yk) and I don't regret a single moment of this hyperfixation. I'm already 7 albums in and honestly I've already cried to this song.
I feel like after everything going on, he's honestly misunderstood and gets a lot of bad raps due to the shit he talks about in his music but always remember this, sometimes it's better to separate the art from the artist. So respect to this man for saving so many of us in our darkest times.
Tremendously marvelous statements, dear @Drainollie... You seem feel and know it, too...
Please do not forget what you have stated, and keep it close to the Heart...
Sometimes one needs some experience to actually realize it, though...

This song is actually based off of one of the worst nightmares Manson had, he describes it in his book :)
I bought this single after "Mechanical Animals". My relatives never understood why I listened to him but I always admired Marilyn Manson's creativity, vision and cult of free expressionism.
My parents have just found out

i remember downloading this video on kazaa when i was 11...now i'm almost 30 and this song is still my fav manson song.
My favorite song from this era. So grimey, raw and powerful. There was nothing like this at the time in the 90s. So incredibly different but dynamic and had a catchy tune. I absolutely love this man despite everything. He will always be my biggest influence.
I definitely love Marilyn Manson.
22 Years later.. and it looks like it was just released.... timeless classic both in the music itself and this video... honestly.. there are few videos that age well.. this is near perfection... it has been creepy for as long as it has been out.. MANSON at his best
The Mastermind I have to agree with you!
The Beautiful People video as well, both had terrific effects. The thing about Manson is his music and art never seen to date. Except for POAAF, all his albums can be played 30 years from NOW and they'll still sound recent. Especially the videos. That's called being ahead of your time.
That's for damn sure.
This album is timeless for sure and Manson was absolutely at his peak.
Totally right. Marilyn Manson's art is timeless. His albums and videos aged amazigly.

I believe more than anything this song speaks of love and sacfrafice. I think the song depicts two people, not any two definable individuals but rather the idea of two people in love. whether that be mother and father, child and parent or siblings. Just the simple idea of love between two people. The song symbolises the pain of loving someone. We sacrafice so much of ourselves for the people we love. We give them our time, our thoughts and our soul. But like countless relationships we can describe, we always end up being hurt by these people we love so much, the people we give up so much for. I think this is what he means by tourniquet. We all act as tourniquets for somebody. We all give meaning to other peoples lives, a fullfillment, a reason to live. But in doing so we allow ourselves to become a victim to these people. " Make your victim my head " Make your problems mine, cry on my shoulder and shed your tears so that I may wipe them away. I will be their for you, I will be your tourniquet in whatever fashion you need it. In the song he describes a person. A delicate unfinished person, who in all their flaws and simplicity, bring so much complication and pain to our lives. We love them and care for them in every way possible and yet despite our sacrafices and struggles they still do not understand what we have given up for them, they do not " belive in [us] " And even before our eyes, despite all we have done for them, we can see their pain, and sorrow. We can see them " spoil" But that is the way of life. No matter what we do and how much we try we cannot decide for the people we love. They will always live their own lives as they see fit. We can guide them but " flies will lay their eggs. "

Unbelievably talented! Unique from all the edges
He is superb! What makes Anti christ superstar so great is the influence from NIN Trent Reznor, who co-produced the album.
Not just Manson. All of them played their part in the band and the making of the music. For example, Daisy Berkowitz, who was instrumental in the band’s early vision and superb sound. He was sadly terribly mistreated and never really appreciated. Just listen to Daisy Berkowitz’s guitar on this track. It is utterly phenomenal.

Production stopped because of Manson dragging his feet, backers pulling out, and his break up with Evan Rachel Wood (who was set to play Alice)
i never really liked manson but this song..man this song is pure fire
When Marilyn Manson has better legs than you.
LOL!
Haha
Darn.
@@tourniquet9914 me too 😂
So true😂😉
I’m 15 years old, and I love Marilyn Manson. This music is 100x better than what plays on the mainstream today.
👍👍👍👍Me too

im a 15 year old girl and i also love manson

if manson hasnt expressed catharsis i dont know who has done so with so much tourment. beautiful... cant wait to read his book. keep forgetting to
Did you know this?
When you reverse this and go to the beginning you can hear him whisper "this is my lowest point of vulnerability"
(he wrote about this on his autobiograhpy)
Point G😂😂😂😂
“This is my most vulnerable moment” he broke down in the studio after doing it.
Mansons music NEVER gets old
I remember being a child in the 90s and owning a few Marylin Manson albums.
Manson's music has gotten me through SO MUCH in life. I won't stop listening to the old favorites that saved me. And no, this is not me picking sides.
Manson is innocent
@@kingdong187 exactly, Rose McGowen said he never treated her the way he treated these other girls and they were together for a long time
@@talimariex0283 abusers don't abuse everyone, they also pick favorites. But I don't believe half of what those women said about him. He is just an easy target because of music and videos and what he's said, and it's all a little TOO literally taken. It's like saying Nirvanas song "Rape Me" is kurt saying he wants someone to rape him 🤨🤨🤨 but like, it's just easy to do to someone of his look and sound. It's not right. Whatever happened to "innocent until proven guilty", it's redonkadonk
@@youraveragepercussionist7690 exactly! I think all these washed up celebrities are just trying to make a buck since youtubers and tiktokers have taken over lol.
Never trust a woman who makes a living by ACTING
Well I don’t care what his girl friend a him did. She stayed if she did not like it she could of left. But who really cares lol. He is the best and his music rocks.
He never hurt nobody. He's a good man.
Lmao. You're funny.
He hurt salty extremist people in the heart
👍
Still blasting this in 2024 💀👻
I think this is his best song. The contrasting feelings is what makes it so powerful.
This is literally one of my favorite videos of his, I adore it. I think it's one of the most creative and visually intense he's done.
I totally agree. The beautiful people vid was good too but I love paying attention to all the details in this one. It's funny to me how some would find this creepy, I find it so uplifting 🤩
