  • Homemade ketchup recipe is pretty easy and the final taste is up to ingredients which comes into the ketchup. I am using fresh ingredients and some of them are not so usual such as raisins which gives unique taste to the ketchup. Also the color of the ketchup is natural. If you need to make more ketchup just multiply the ingredients below.
    Ingredients For The Best Ketchup
    1 kg of tomatoes
    100 g of raisins
    4 cloves of garlic
    2 apples
    1 tablespoon of salt
    3 teaspoons ground sweet paprika
    1/2 teaspoon of hot pepper
    1 teaspoon of dried ginger
    1 onion
    100 g of sugar
    70 ml of vinegar
    How To Make Homemade Ketchup Step by Step
    1. First, cut the tomatoes into quarters and remove the cores and stems from the apples.
    2. Put all the ingredients in a large pot and start heating the mixture. After about 40 minutes of cooking, when the vegetables have boiled and released their water, cook the mixture uncovered for another 40 minutes until the desired thickening.
    3. Blend the boiled mixture in a blender or use a stick blender. This mixture will include peels and seeds, if you want a really fine ketchup, I recommend straining the mixture through a fine sieve. It will take a little time, but the reward will be a beautifully smooth ketchup.
    4. If you strained the mixture, let it warm up in the pot.
    5. Boil your ketchup glasses and then fill them with still hot ketchup. It will be ideal if you cook the ketchup for another 20 minutes at 85 degrees in the oven.
    6. Store in the dark and cool. After opening, I recommend storing the ketchup directly in the refrigerator.
