as an unofficial ambassador for this country :P it warms my heart to not only see you enjoying it, but to find that "click". i had the same thing many years ago, i lived and loved so deeply in sri lanka that when it was no longer my home, i parcelled off the trauma from leaving and didnt process it for about 7 years. i just couldnt. I have to have been sri lankan in a past life because i adore this country to my bones, and its so nice to see people who have never been visiting, and falling in love with its magical charm.

@@pointblank1402As a traveller yes. But unfortunately young generation had to leave this country due to political corruption. Politicians loot every penny belongs to the people. Even highly educated people are paid far less compared to western countries. But still we love our country for it's true values

4:20 The Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi is a sacred Bo tree, that stands in the Mahamewna Gardens in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. Not only is it the closest authentic living link to Gautama Buddha, it is also the oldest human-planted tree in the world with a known planting date and a recorded history.

Hiya! I see so much wildlife hopping around, love it. What a difference Sri Lanka is compared to Europe. The way they invite and prepare food for you is so welcoming. Nothing better than a home-cooked meal from a local. Community feelings are the ones I’m looking for while traveling. And pool or sea views are a must. You’ve got it all. That ‘click’ is something I only had in 3 places: Melbourne, London and Bonaire. It’s something unique. Sigirya has insanely gorgeous views 😮. Thanks for sharing and have a great week ahead 🤙
I'll tell you right now, Sri Lankans love to feed guests hahaha and the coconut roti they made in the village tour as gluten free too, Felix! They grow the rice and hand-grind it into rice flour then make the roti from that. It's incredibly chewy in all the best ways :) A chef at another hotel was telling me how lucky I was to try it that way, especially as they usually just use normal flour.
A great video , Sri Lankans always have an amazing attitude of nicely treating any outsider. It is very healthy for its tourism industry.

Hi again.😊 Those temples are spectacular. It's mind blowing the amount of effort it must have taken all those years ago. Fair play to you on such an early start that day - I struggled with 10:00am this morning. 😅 It's always great to see the wildlife too. I love seeing elephants. My wife is still creeped out by the monkeys sadly. I think they are great.
Oh heyyy! Hope you had a great weekend :) haha 10am! Oh gosh, well, to be fair, I usually wake up at 5am anyway but usually I've had a full night's sleep. On this day, I'd been up editing videos all night so noooo sleep hehe. Worth it for those views!! hahaha I'm with your wife - monkeys are terrifying! But the monkeys with the grey fur and dark faces were very sweet and not terrifying like the other ones.

and savored those moments. We are not religious people but we connected our souls with its spirituality. Like you Phoebe , we did not enjoy getting up early in the morning to see Sigirya Rock.
