"They're proving to be a lot more resilient." - When you were defending a caravan from those nomads, in the first fight. I wouldn't call something that has the favor of RNG gods as resilient, more like lucky. I don't understand you dragging Daigren along, he's consuming the wages/xp and taking a spot where an actually useful bro could be, for 1-2 hits with the weakest bow per battle. I'd understand, if you were at the beginning of the game and just kept him as a spare body, but you have plenty. Someone that could be helpful in fights would be much better choice. Even just dismissing him, so the enemy spawn are slightly weaker would help you more than him staying. Btw, out of curiosity, are you playing this on a potato. Everything seems to be a bit sluggish, even the mouse movement.
