I was in London today but I did not go on the Northern line I went on it the other day when I was there from Charing cross up to Camden town I went to the market and then on the Bank branch back to King's cross it is always really busy I never get a seat I only went on the tube once today the Piccadilly line to South Ken and back was only in London a couple of hours I am back down tomorrow as I am going see the Van Gogh art work at the National gallery London is a nightmare at weekends as the tube is always closed in areas great video could you do another Piccadilly line video loved your last video of it I am in London all the time weekdays and weekends when I am not there I seem to spend my time on the internet watching videos of the tube I wonder if I would if I moved back to London to live

1:06:00 not only is that the depot, but also part of the old railway between Edgware and Mill Hill East, and the tunnels at the station is the unfinished extension to Bushey Heath, if only that was finished! :( but then why to Bushey Heath? Why not to Watford Junction were you can Change for the Metropolitan line, Overground and national railservices?
Answering your question one by one:
That is the Edgware Southern Sidings, where it was not intended to be a depot, but through lines to Mill Hill East, as you are correct.
The tunnels just north of Edgware only goes underground to go under the main road, where it then emerges.
The reason why the Northern line was intended to extend to Bushey Heath was in order to contruct a massive depot to facilitate trains not only in place of other depots which were overcrowded but also for those running on the extension. There were revised plans after WW2 for further extensions to Watford (bearing some resemblence to the unbuilt Watford & Edgware Railway, which did not get built in the end), however this didn't come to fruition. In the end, there were fewer passenger numbers travelling on the Northern line after the War than it was before, so Bushey Heath wasn't built and the depots were relieved.
