I grew up in Switzerland where the service is compulsory. It was quite a few years ago, in a world that wasn’t upside down like today. I think some kind of “service” would be great for kids today, to instill values, discipline, respect, that aren’t taught by parents anymore - thus the rampant mental illness and societal decay we are observing.
But in today’s world, where you can’t trust your leaders anymore, it becomes a slippery slope. I totally get what you are saying, and I’m with you 100%. Yet, we need to find a way to fill that gap somehow.
There are days I’m really glad I’m way past my teenage years looking at the world today.
Im Greek and we have a mandatory military service because there is an ACTUAL existential threat. First of all if you expect from the state (The Army in this case) to educate your kids, you are doing something very wrong as a parent. Nothing and nobody can replace the family environment. The army can provide some useful life lessons especially to people who grew up in a social bubble. Having the son of a ship owner together with the son of a farmer in the same squad, sleeping together, eating together, going through the same challenges, can provide a very useful social interaction and empathy. Its not by accident that some of the greatest friendships are created at school or the Army. Also you realize how the real world works. You will find yourself under completely ridiculous people who control your life for a term of time but you can do nothing about it. You cant quit, you have to navigate through that, find ways of communication, even discover that you can ''act'' the part they want you to and how to slowly hurry up. You will realize that mom is not there when you are sick, and you cant expect from anyone to care about how you feel. You will also discover that there are people who just cant be reasoned with. These are negative interactions/experiences but generally these are the ones providing life lessons, not the occasional fun times with your mates or the rare respectable officer.
Young people need to be home protecting their families. The enemies are among us already. New York politician could not support enhancing punishments for shoplifters who assault shop workers. They already get a pass on stealing under 1,000$ worth of stuff. Looks like 1984 followed by Mad Max. Great discussion and a lot of different perspectives in the comments.

You’re spot on. We used to call it collectivism, if you demand solidarity from any individual. That’s the opposite to what the US Constitution states: every one has his birth rights provided by life or the universe. And the government shall under no circumstances take that away. People shall decide wisely for what they wanna live and die. Many Europeans never got that. That’s why we declared independence. And fought communism.

Already the school system teaches you that you are not free. If you can choose homeschooling in a country, then you are free, but if you to be forced to give your child to the school system, then you also give them to a military system
In Norway, you can actually teach your children at home. The child must be enrolled in an approved school, and they are responsible for following up whether the child receives an education, that is, that you follow the curriculum. For example, the child must learn about slavery. But you as a parent do not have to use the transatlantic slave trade as the only example of slavery, as unfortunately many schools do. You can give a more balanced picture of the story.
Unfortunately, it is not common for Norwegian parents to choose home education, but I know of a couple of cases at the school where I live.

Conscription itself is completely fine and militarily service and training in many ways is what young men need today. However in the west we dont have governments that truly represent their own people. It is pretty obvious that our goverments hate white Europeans and are under the control of Zionist/American interests. A war for these people is NOT worth it. Hah! Saw a comment in the chat saying we should have "mandatory critical thinking." It's not critical thinking if it's being forced at the point of a bayonet. It's saying whatever those forcing it upon you needs to be said to ensure your survival. "Mandatory critical thinking" is a contradiction.
Critical thinking has been a natural part of Western tradition and thus teaching for generations. Unfortunately, we are in the process of "educating" a generation that does not understand how important freedom of expression is, and this can happen precisely because they have not been taught critical thinking. The left finally has full control of the educational institutions, and they have used the chance to brainwash the youth.
The only way out of this disaster is to let someone other than the school authority take back control. I think most Norwegians consider the military better suited to show young people the way back to reality than school. The homes can't do it. They let the youth wither in front of a computer screen.
If such a mandate is to be given to the military, however, the people must have access and the right to complain, to ensure that the rules are followed and that the goal the people want is achieved.

Politicians have always known that young people aren't as "attached" to their skin as older people, so they are easily disposable.
Military training should be a Citizen Right (Because its dangerous for Freedom to only have the State Lackeys to have that competence), but it should never be a Duty. And joining the Defence Forces should be voluntary. My body, health and life bekongs to ME, and not any state. I decide wether i wish to risque that, and for what cause. I agree, but the Norwegian proposal is not exclusively a proposal for military service. It is about community service, and not everyone is going to join the military. The point is that the current system is deeply unfair, where a minority is forced to serve in the military. A small country like Norway does not have the opportunity to make defense voluntary if we are to have a defense.
I think otherwise many Norwegians are influenced by a TV series in which a former Norwegian sportsman rolls Norwegian celebrities into his own small military company and gives them military training. Something happens to the participants along the way. They learn to challenge themselves, and learn to endure physical and psychological hardship, something today's young people as a group need to the greatest extent.

Do as we say and do not question our rules because we know what is best for you, the community and society! 😊For instance, a society has to have some structure reason for taxes however in the past and currently in many places we are taxed for just existing.

To start things off I’d like to say that I respect and love all free thinking human beings rather or not I agree with them. As far as mainstream media I’ve been entertained my whole life by it and it has taught me a lot. To make things short and simple just take a look at who owns the global media networks, then realize that they themselves are not at war, and never have been. Much love and blessings to all.
International law says “No person shall be without the protection of state”. One may live anywhere they wish as long as they abide by the rules of the chosen country, unless otherwise turned away for some reason. So in that sense, everyone would in fact be owned.

I am definetly biased. However in my opinion the most dangerous religions are the monotheistic beliefs due to how much control you can exert through it. When it comes to ideology, any and all that don't promote the ability to think for yourself.
