Good job man, as hard as it is to see lucky not giving this 100 percent. You're doing the right thing
You can't do anymore than what your doing. If he chooses to stay teetering on the cliff. That's his choice. But you've come a long way from almost abducting someone to try and force them to do something lol
Like didn't work for me. How much does it cost tho
Joe, remember that often getting clean needs few tries to get right and it wont happen before you totally hit the rock bottom..
So, even if this doesnt work out at first time, dont give up with Lucky if he slips
@@eerokkitube he's already said he's been through detox a couple times. Lucky isn't new to this. Makes it even harder to like dude.
Until Lucky finds a new place to go and new people to hang out with he has no chance of staying off drugs, it is what it is.
I seriously doubt he's clean now in my opinion
@@johnp7279 unfortunately as soon as someone offers him heroin he'll be right back where he started. I wish the dude the best though.
Bro he's not even trying
@@johnp7279 hes high in this video. There for the cash, shes with him cuz they going to get dope.
@@johnp7279did you not watch the video? He says he's not clean. Just not banging heroin anymore
“I get high. That’s what I do.”
That’s all we need to hear.
Imma send him money right now!
@@DU0ZAI never heard him ask. If you give someone money. You are blessing them. It's on them what they do with it .
Dude was sitting on the side of the road. He's a grown man. Can't expect someone to just change on a dime.
Still rooting for you lucky. It’s not all lost.
As a former addict of 22+ years, Lucky is setting himself up for Failure.
He still wants to get high , just doesn't want to be dependent on it, well that ain't gonna happen my guy, best to luck with you
@@The_Mavs_Are_Bumsnobody has ever been a heroin addict in moderation, addiction and moderation are opposite
Already failed, and TBH it was obvious as soon as they picked him up from rehab that it would turn out this way.
yup! i was a heroin addic6t for 14 years...took about 10 times of getting clean and relapsing and going to jail and prison etc to learn all the tings i needed to learn to stay clean.2 years clean now and YES it absolutely takes getting other users COMPLETELY out of your life or you stand a less than 1% chance of staying clean....IF THAT.
@@Kevhoe agreed....one of two things is going to happen....1 hes gonna relapse and finally learn as i did...or two he will NEVER change...and thats not my opinion that is statistical FACTS!
Lucky has that “Joe knows” look
He’s not ready to change his life. Plain and simple.
Lucky needs to realize he can’t dabble in ANY DRUGS! He needs to be either 100% sober or he will fail. I had to realize this myself and now I have over 4 years clean and sober. Lucky you will always have that monkey on your back unless you change your people, places, and things. I’m rooting for you but your chance of success are diminishing until you get away from them.
That's true of your experience and what I learned working in programs to help homeless people. The drug habits are hard for most to break cold turkey, but being around people actively doing drugs is a sure and bona fide way to fall right back down into the addiction, unfortunately.
Facts
I just said that the other day. Plus he is still drinking beer. No. It’s either abstinence or nothing.
Not really. I only smoke the good green myself
Addicts can't "dabble." You're either all in or back on the path straight to hell.
Lucky was full of reservations and disclaimers before he went to detox. He never had the intention of staying clean if you’d really listened to him. I believe he appreciates what you did for him and he’s relieved (for the moment) to have that monkey off his back. But that gravely voice he’s talking with today is indicative of opiate influence. Be careful Joe. Let him do some work now and if he chooses not to, remember, you planted a seed and be at peace with that.
Well said
Definitely appreciate the Lucky update. I couldn't imagine hanging at 7-11 at 4am. Im not sure he's going to change his ways but I certainly wish him the very best. ALWAYS APS!!
Lucky's hair still looks good 😂 yes, when homelessness occurs, options are limited in ways that seem unimaginable. 😢
He's twacked tf out on that crystal that's just as bad as heroin
You're right. You can tell by the smirk on his face that he thinks it's funny that he still gets high and has no intention of quitting all drugs.
@@carlam.9529 yep!
So funny how everyone is so judgemental.
Guys listen to the man, hes a honest man man. Give credit where its due
Sad but 0 chance. Lucky is doing everything wrong
You can tell she was very beautiful at one time before addiction. It’s not too late.
It’s too late lol.
I love the way lucky looks at her, he looks so happy ❤
Unfortunately it seems like its time to move on from Lucky. Hopefully people will stop sending money to his cash app as long as he’s still using.
Yeah, that might be true, sad but true... Hope he rebounces into sobriety sooner than later. The thing is, when he went in he wasnt fully ready, he was already talking about seeing the same friends, living on the streets, he was just tired of the fact he didnt have money to fund his h addiction, but not the life style it self/addiction as a whole😢 BUT he might be ready later on, just needs to hit the rock bottom, saddly. I hope Im wrong, but...
Lucky is smoked right now
He is a human also
@@joefox9765SO IT DOESNT CHANGE THE FACT HIS SMOKED OUR
At least he’s honest about it.
Sorta
lol
I can hear the dissatisfaction in Joe's voice.
Lucky is falling back into old habits.
Those habits aren’t old, they never went away.
Monday update: I had to fire lucky because he came to work high.
That isn't nice
No way man. He wouldn't do that to Joe.
@tonymontana897 at this point in the game I think Joe would lose his scruples on lucky but yet again Joe knows what time it is. He'll put it to a stop soon
Joe does construction. LMAO. People are so clueless.
@@dawnagiron2192 Time is the only teller. Hopefully Lucky can keep his shit together, but historically speaking, addicts usually succumb to their weakness. I hope I'm wrong.
Man, Lucky is high as a kite during this video! Got the speed rambles going on!
The way he talks when they picked him up from detox till now is very disheartening
I had my doubts when lucky said he drank his first day out. But i don't judge Lucky. I wish him the best. I'm glad Joe gave him a chance
I admire your honesty Lucky. I just hope you can get away from the same people and same area you’ve been in. That will be so hard to overcome if you’re running the same streets. Please be kind, people. He can’t get out of the hole overnight and no one is perfect.
We all struggling with something lucky. Just do the best you can, bro 💪 thanks for the update, joe.
I know the views aren't there joe. But i wanted to say i genuinely look forward to your uploads still, and i respect your effort to keep it going. I've been watching since before you blew up at the old apartment. Keep it up!
Playing with fire lucky, be safe man, was in that life for five years and by the grace of G-d been off opiates for 8 years strong!! You got this brother
He dont want it, don’t tell him “you got this”…
I wish the best for him, however im afraid this will not end well. You cannot "dabble"
Always good to see you pop up on youtube Joe!!!
Lucky is high as giraffe ears.....you'll never be ready, until YOU are ready.💯🤦🏾♂️
Lucky is high.
Lucky isn’t going to change, doesn’t want to change. Move on.

It's funny how he says he's tired of being on the streets, but yet keep wanting to go back to the streets.
That’s 95% of addicts and homeless. They really don’t want any change, they are comfortable just existing day by day. No ambition to do anything good
Nice to see you working with the community
While he is somewhat looking better, I feel like if Lucky doesn't change his views, the fall back isn't far away. Especially since he still hangs out with people that are using.
I hope he defies the odds and gets well.
I got that impression as well. Not good to mingle with the same crew when u know all they do is use. I know we all want the best for him but he enjoys rugs and he said previously that he uses anything.. When u cocktail like that it starts to affect your physical appearance. Ie.age u way faster.. anyway I wish him the best but always on the cautious side as I'm used to relapse and it happens more than you know. U gotta keep trying and not give up if u want it that bad.
@@m1ssjuju exactly, its not like putting something away and then never touch it again. Especially if you remain in the environment where its all around you.
@playingindies6730 Exactly.. all it takes is a little reminder of how it can make ur troubles disappear and before u know it, the casual use turns into needing it on a daily. Sux, cos I've met some neat folks before on rugs but unfortunately have had to cut ties for my own sake.
Some people it's very hard to completely walk away from the only life they knew when someone like Joe comes along because prior to that they had to take care of themselves every minute of the day. Alot of people they live around them helped them so much or help each other rather.
Then when someone like Lucky gets clean he wants to talk his people into getting clean as well
@@j_toledo419 Lucky literally said that he has used since his release, just not heroin. So the step back is nearer than for someone that isnt using at all.
I think the Gateway and Renaissance programs sound really good 👍 The rules are there for a reason in terms of sobriety. Excellent interview, Joe!
well atleast lucky is being honest about his usage andnot just saying oh nah i havnt been using
True, that helps me and probably everyone watching not to get expect him to change. Unfortunately, Lucky has replaced one drug with another. He also doesn't want to let go of friends who are using and would rather be homeless than go into a program to help push him in a new direction.
Hanging out at 711 until 4am sober????
Ah man, Lucky's trading one drug for another. Pretty classic addict behavior, hopefully he can overcome that. Being totally sober is probably the best for him... ah well, good luck Lucky. Thanks for the update Joe!
Lucky dont do it! Dont get the water bill in your name. I dont see good coming out of that situation at all. Honestly its not a good idea to stay there period around active addiction with so many people. Bad idea all the way around

it was hilarious way back when rabbit almost ran himself into an early grave trying to prove he was not using.
hopefully he is ready now...
I mean it obvious. Its not atleast he is honest he let alot of people down for not even trying. Proved alot of people right who rightfully doubted him.

this sucks joe-all i can say is good on you man for trying-as far as lucky goes i guess the withdrawls were not so bad-its just a matter of time unfortunatly -still hoping for the best but like tom says you gotta want it
Well atleast hes being honest.
I love Lucky's honesty. He has no lying in him. I'm not saying he's a good person or that he doesn't make mistakes, but he owns them. He doesn't have the grab-bag of excuses, lies, and sob stories like other people Joe has tried to help in the past.
He's not honest. He is an excuse, making shyster. Gutter sludge.

Hey Joe, very off topic but I been watching Ian Bick a little latley. Have you ever considered taking some interviews like that?
Just feel like the OG of prison content would be a big deal.
Whitney seems to have a better chance to get clean and stay clean.
Lucky keep ya head up bro..stay strong 💪
Lucky definitely coached her on how to answer the questions that Joe was so obviously going to ask. I hate to be so cynical about all this but we've all seen and heard this song and dance countless times before. Not just on APS but in life in general
yeah they are playin Joe like a damn fiddle. Hes gonna pay Lucky for this she on the phone with the dope dealer during this damn video...
It's easy to talk.

Lucky what can i say well im slightly disappointed in you addiction is one hell of a thing i Know i relapsed 3 times but been clean and sober now for 3 years im just glad at this point your not touching the heroin again still or making this a everyday habit out of it you said here now and then but you and Whitney both need to get in this program asap and get some help get clean again i can tell he's higher than a kite right now not good Lucky.
I mean, he was open and honest from the beginning. He said, "I'm not saying I'll never get high again" before he ever went to the program. He just wanted to get off the heroine cause he was getting sick every several hours from not having it.
@@TheJokesterSCR Yeah true
People, places and things!! Those were the things I ABSOLUTELY had to change to get sober and STAY SOBER!!!
I cant even understand Lucky in this video
You can’t surround yourself with addiction and expect not to use. Gotta be smarter than that lucky. It’s your life and getting your shit together is awesome. I was in addiction for 6 years and finally went to prison and got off and I been clean now for almost 8 years. And one thing that’s for sure is I would never be around anyone doing drugs no matter what. Weed is diff but I don’t smoke but idc if ppl do.
I’m gonna be honest this is a bummer. I was hoping Lucky would stay sober but seems like that’s not the plan for him. I’ve known a lot of people that would do something every once in a while and before you know it they were hooked on something else.
💯
I wish lucky would get sober but he doesn't want it. He's better now then when he was on Heroin maybe one day he'll stick to just weed. Out on the west coast we call it California sober.Recovery looks different for everyone. I hope he gets it figured out. Thanks for the update. WOULD LOVE ANOTHER ONE IN A FEW WEEKS
Hoping Lucky can keep busy after work cos it seems as though his boredom is pulling him back to the rugs. I know a few mates just like him that work and dabble here and there however they had been off the H for a while.. last thing u want is getting hooked onto the other stuff. Anyhow i wish him the best and hope he rly works on his art as he has so much potential. Much love anyway APS from Australia 🇦🇺
I agree 💯 good observation. Boredom translates as still using and being around others who use after work.
Thats just an excuse.
Addicts can't dabble. They certainly can swap addictions tho. I really hope lucky gets a fresh perspective and turns to his creativity when board.
More cooking videos!
We’re rooting for you lucky! Stay strong!!!
we were.
😂😂😂😂😂
We are ?
No, we are not rooting for it.
Lucky seems very fidgety .wishing him all the best..
Regardless if lucky is clean or not. Joe helped him get his head clear and gave him employment. Recovery is returning to a normal state of health, mind, and strength. And Lucky seems to be on his way. Good job lucky congrats.
HIS USING DRUGS COME ON NOW !
It’s literally ppl like you that keep people in active addiction.
@@SV.S.Tif Joe cuts him off completely, he will 100% never have an opportunity. Employment and hanging around Joe for the day is a step in the right direction, even if it’s just at work. There’s a lot of people who are living a good life and on drugs. The difference with Lucky is he’s at least honest and not trying to hide it. Any other person would lie..
Na thats bs. He is going back to getting high i dont think u really know what ur talkin about sorry.
He’s not past the unintentional self sabotage
your exactly right....i did that myself and it took idk how many times of relapsing to get it right.
Told you to take the subs bro lucky wake up, get on subs
Being on subs makes you see a doctor who drug test you. That will be the only responsibility you will have. Go to doctor piss clean and get your meds. You will get high off your meds for a month (enjoy it, I did) maybe longer before you level out; use that time to change your life style. Places, people, things. before you know it you will forget about what it felt like to be high and be in a normal life. If you can’t change places, people, things; you won’t make it and you should just start using dope again. You’re in it for the long hall or you will get clean only choices you have. It’s been 7 years for me. I’m not a straight edge but don’t do no hard drugs. I got a family, a job, and money. Never thought I would have that and I give thanks to subs. You’re full of shit for not taking it because you don’t want the help, you wanted to get high.
Yes- 100% agree with everything you are saying. Also- for those who dont know, Subs alone won't be a "magic trick" to change your life, but subs combined with ALL the other tools to not be defenseless against the first drug or drink will be a recipe for success. Lucky definitely refused them the last day when he got out so he could use. And when Joe picked Lucky up from the detox Lucky said he felt great- well, that was because the subs were still in his system. But after using for what I'm assuming is decades, he would've felt the withdrawals all over again as soon as the subs got out of his system which would've been in another day or two at that point- and he would've been unable to work for Joe or do anything especially a manual labor job without getting "off sick" from you know what! So I'm pretty positive speaking from my experience with dope, withdrawals, and subs that Lucky has been using H again since he got out of detox. That day. At least by the next day. There's no way once he came off the subs fresh put of a 10 day detox he would've even been able to move!!!
I know atleat 5 people all got clean on subs years ago. All of them are doing great now and sober. All.
@@lucien4980I been on subs for about 8 years. Was a heroin addict for 18yrs. It COMPLETELY changed my life and allowed me to focus on bettering my life instead of coming up with $ to get high each day. I’m a father, own my own construction business, ect. It’s was a lifeline for me, I would 100% be dead or in prison if I had not made the change.
Well, he’s honest. I’ll give him that. Maybe that’s his way to win….just staying off the opiates. Other stuff can come and go and he doesn’t care. I’m kinda like that, just learned to regulate it. Staying busy is the key. I have so much to do I don’t have time to sit around and wanna use.
Love you Joe! Good work, we know you work your ass off.
Haven't watched th whole video yet. But I can look into Whitneys eyes and tell she isn't high. Can see she really wants this for her kids. Hope I'm not wrong I want everyone to be free from the Drugs
brothers deff high, or fiending for her next hit, only she thing she wants is her next fix
I knew Lucky was high in the last video. Give it a month he’ll be on H again. You can’t be a recovering addict and “dabble” in drugs. That’s not how it works.
I think Lucky might get lucky
🤣
Well. I’m over lucky
If nobody else is going to say it i will….Unfortunately its looking like Lucky might be a lost cause. He has the wrong mindset to stay sober. He can’t stand still and rambles on and on…he’s definitely high in this video.
Yeah sadly after picking him up from rehab I had the feeling it would go this way after all the red flags. Unfortunate, all you can do is lead a horse to water if it doesn't drink you did the best you can. Still wishing the best for him though, but the response at the end kind of tells you what you need to know.
Much love
Joe seems to be thinking that home situation is ,
Oooh Hell it's Squatter town.
I can relate with this young lady. I went down a similar path as her. I wish there were a way i could reach out to her if she needs a sponsor or someone to get advice from. My clean date is December 29th 2001.
Atleadt he's honest and didn't lie usually they lie about it
they really like each other... so sweet
I could tell he wasnt going to stay sober. At least he is mostly clear headed for the time being and is in better shape than he was.
It’s disheartening that he’s still using other drugs but he’s the most honest person you’ve ever had on here
You are a good man, and have a good heart. I wish you the best.
5 days of a so called program ain't gonna cut it. He's not ready. He's doing what Rabbit did to us. Bullshittin
I hope lucky realizes the opportunity he has before it’s gone. Joe sounds so disappointed. Joe if given the opportunity from u I would seize it!
At least he's honest
To quote myself from 2 weeks ago, on the "Did Lucky Pawn my go pro" video....
I don't mean to be harsh but.... I feel like.. If you give this man money he will simply unalive himself, faster... Sometimes winning the lottery is the worst thing you can give a man. He needs a community.. He needs a reason first... Men without meaning are lost.
I wish lucky the best but he's not there yet.
Joe and Tom the PI! Be awesome to see an update with REMY. been re watching those!
Hey, Joe! Where is Dave ???
stay strong dude.
I think this is good, I mean look, would it be better if Lucky was totally sober? Of course, but given that just a couple of weeks ago he was using heroin every day, this is still a step in the right direction for him. We can't expect to pick a guy up off the street that's been using all his life and get him totally clean within a month. It would make for a great CZcams video, but it's not realistic. With continued support, Lucky might still get clean, but it's going to take time and patience.
