    This has been very interesting to watch. As a Tank Main (PLD when MT and GNB for OT specifically), I always liked having tools like Divine Veil to help healers after raidwides and Heart of Corundum/Aurora for myself and the other tank. I want to delve more into Healing since I always preferred the support role and I've been enjoying all of the healers, though I've been enjoying SCH and WHM more so. The one thing I wish Healers had is more damaging moves (I remember hearing WHM had like 3 DoTs back then). I like the Afflatus mechanic and I think damaging moves becoming active from healing is a neat way of being able to get that variety of damage. I also like the complexity of choice when it comes to healing/shielding, but I hope that Dawntrail will do something more to make the jobs more engaging offensively. Well, that's my veiw of it at least, I'm a Tank main so all I really know is hit and get hit for less.
    Great video btw, the detailed explanations really do help more than just looking at a static sheet saying "use this" and "use that if this happens".

    Thank you for the note on recovery skill. It's so important for prog.
    This is a really thorough and complete WHM healing guide! Hit all the smaller notes too like exceptions.
    I'll definitely be using this as a reference for new players.

    really good duo of guides, for bit on aqua veil/divine benison - a tip i do on my healers if its big aoe situation is to priorities phys. range > healers > caster > melee.
    main reason is phys. range are the weakest to magic damage while healers are weakest to physical, in min. ilvl situations, that extra shield/10% mit single target can be very big for progging till mit plan is sorted, i've even got use to using spare lily/addersgall on those targets as well prior if they ain't topped that way my stacks keep rolling while keeping them safer.

    TYSM for this and the "how to do more dam." videos! I have been healing for my raid group for almost a year now, coming from 3 years of phys. range, and I am not the most confident in moving/removing more prog based heals in places to optimize for more damage, even after clears. As a result, I am a grey dam. parser, where as my healing parses are all colors of the rainbow. Your videos are great, and helped me realize that I just need to trust my instincts more, instead of second guessing myself for fear of my party members dropping, just because I decided to do more damage. I think I'm on the right track to getting a pretty color dam. parse, Thx again. 🤞

    These are great vids and are helpful to me as a whm main! I don't do savage raids for mental health reasons but i am doing criterion dungeons with my mates. Gorai the unchained specifically is (or feels to me) very heal heavy so these guides have helped me deal with getting good healing out without overhealing and underhealing (my dps isnt all that great yet on whm but practice makes perfect).

    Helpful as a noob healer main who is currently pre-heavensward! For the moment I still have to rely on gcd heals, but I'm already using primarily medica 2/regen, but it'll be good to get out of the habit of saving or never using the off gcd/free heals early rather than learning it as I hit harder content.

    in every static that I've been in, rez priority is a bit more complicated than rdm/smn always get it. if all swiftcasts are available and its like one or two deaths, then the prio is healers > smn > rdm. if no swifts are available or there's a bloodbath occurring, then it's entirely on the rdm while the healers stabilize

    I've finally gotten around to leveling my whm and this definitely helps with the understanding endgame tools. I'm curious for shield healers how much should they be trying to mit with their gcd shields vs simply healing after? I always find myself using eukrasia prognosis on sage going into heavy raidwide, but not sure if that is right.

    • @MbekMbek
      @MbekMbek Před 10 měsíci

      normal raidwide aoe in savage don't need GCD shield, 10% mitigation is enough. unless it's big damage raidwide/before mechanic, you can GCD shield.
      tbh GCD shield before any raidwide is okay for this savage tier coz damage check isn't tight.

    • @RinBanana
      @RinBanana  Před 10 měsíci +2

      I'll be doing videos on both Sage and Scholar in the coming weeks, but as a general rule of thumb Succor / E.Prog are generally prog tools that you use for safety or during recovery. In any situation where you are certain you can use an OGCD to mitigate the damage, you should over a GCD shield. Usually, Soil/Kerachole + 1 additional mitigation will deal with many of the riad hits in Savage safely. For example, in P9S during the cracks mechanic, instead of shielding you could use Kerachole alongside either Holos or Pneuma, then later for the healer stacks use the other of the 2 you didn't use before

    After a few minutes watching this video and what the animations look like I came to realize White Mage is actually a Water Mage, as all the animations look like or contain water. Even the only dps attack looks like a clump of river rocks.

    Actually had no idea you could put cure 3 on someone else and the heal comes out from them. Though my instincts tell me to try to stay in the middle of everyone anyways when we don't need to be in certain spots for mechanics. Some questions about asylum and temperance though. Does asylum buff things like divine veil and shake it off? I believe the shields themselves aren't because they're a percentage of everyone's HP, but they do also provide a flat heal too and shake now has a regen.
    And for temperance, would it also buff healing magic from other players or does it just buff your own? Cuz I imagine if it buffed everyone, scholar could drop some extra fat spreadlo shields while you have that up.

    • @ostentenacity5328
      @ostentenacity5328 Před 9 měsíci +1

      Asylum will buff anything with a potency. You are correct that the shields are not affected because they are % of total health, but Asylum will buff the flat heal and the regen of veil and shake because those are potency based rather than % health based.
      If I recall correctly, Temperance only buffs your own GCD healing. The tooltip doesn't make it 100% clear, but I'm pretty sure that if you mouse over the buff that you get as the WHM, you will see that it says "healing potency is increased", whereas the buff that appears on everyone else only says "damage taken is decreased." Asylum would buff a SCH's spreadlo though since that has the "hp recovery by healing actions" wording instead of "healing magic potency."
      (Interestingly, Scholar's Fey Illumination is a rare example---the only one I can think of off the top of my head---of an ability which buffs EVERYONE's healing magic potency, so SCH can use it to buff *your* Medicas and Raptures, though not your Asylum or Liturgy! All the other healing up buffs which players can apply to other players---mantra, nature's minne, physis, magick barrier, etc---are received healing buffs, similar to Asylum, rather than outgoing healing buffs like Temp.)

    • @FirelighttheKing
      @FirelighttheKing Před 9 měsíci

      Temperance has two buffs; one only on you (the heal buff) and one on the whole party including you (the damage reduction), so it should be pretty easy to see when you try it out.
