      Awesome! That's a lot of channels and features for the price! How do you use them, Sonny?

      But seriously, the smartgain function and desktop mixer app has improved workflow “marvelously well.”

      @@sonnyleesmith That's interesting to hear... I'm an old curmudgeon, and my first instinct was to consider auto-gain a drawback, not a feature. Seeing it in practice is definitely making me rethink things.

    Something I find talked about way to little (which is REALLY nice for live) is that it sets the gain for you including the spill. So you can just have the entire band go at the same time and boom. Done.

    Which one would you recommend?
    ID4 vs Evo 4
    -I have Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro 250Ohm headphones
    -I work in the box
    -Sometimes record vocals and guitar (rarely)
    Price difference between ID4 & Evo 4 is around $50 USD.
    This will be my first audio interface. Also, considering my use case shared above, would you recommend spending a bit more on the next variant of any of these two interfaces (Evo 8 or ID 14, based on what you recommend).
    Suggestions for any other audio interface within the same range is also welcome. Thanks!

    Hi! @Audient can we get a volume control Mac Os, just as Evo 8 or 4, i'm able to control the volume control through the keyboard on Evo 4 but not on the Evo 16, a firmware update could do so, i believe. Thanks

    I'm a fan of this one; this is why I was curious about something: are the line inputs on the EVO16/SP8 such that they bypass the mic preamp when you plug a TRS connector into them, or do they feed into the preamp anyway?

    • @KaneDWilliams
      @KaneDWilliams Před 5 měsíci

      I'd like to know if the line input bypasses the preamps too and goes straight to the converters? Are the converters better on the new ID44 or EVO 8 and EVO 16? Thanks

      @SeanHyland Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@KaneDWilliams @aleksamrkela831 I wondered this too, posted on Gearspace with no answer, but finally I got an answer from Audient's CZcams channel: Unfortanately, you can NOT bypass the onboard preamps. You might have seen on Reddit that you can, but this is incorrect. :(

    • @aleksamrkela831
      @aleksamrkela831 Před 5 měsíci

      @@SeanHyland I figured this out a long while ago from the same source. BUT they also said that if you keep the level all the way down on the inputs while using line-level signal, there should be no negative side-effects. So, it's not a problem. :D

    Why do Audient insist on having the led ramp showing the output?
