Excellent job, Ken! I really enjoyed the photography part, which is normally never shown, and the lift out section. EXCELLENT!

Loved the cross over bridge. I am working on an outdoor O scale layout and have been looking at a way to have a bridge that can be removed easily. You've given me the best idea so far. Thank you. Carl

You have obviously put a bit of thought into the design of that lift-out section, the finished item seems to work extremely well. Nice one!

Great lift out Ken. If you place something magnetic on the facia you could attach the lift out to it when it's not in use so you don't have to walk off with it.

    Very nice video Ken!!
Thanks for your thoughts on using the phone for layouts and pictures but the MOST important item was the use of a tripod.
    Again, well done, thanks,

Probably my favorite video to watch of all of the subscriptions I like. Any chance you could do a segment on modular layouts and track joints between modules.

Great idea on using magnets to secure a lift out section. This may solve an issue on my layout for sure.
If you thought John's UD Tower and RC HO vehicles are good, you should see his E units.
    Then there's his...tow truck...

Always enjoy videos, but it's time for you to invest in a quality wireless microphone system for both you and your guests. The audio quality this month was inconsistent at best. I did love the magnetic lift out section. So simple!

Great job on the lift out section. My model railroad will have two lift bridges or sections. I've been looking at different ways. This is a great idea...! Q: In cutting the rails with a cut off disk, did you angle the cut a little or were the cuts made perpendicular to the rails?

very good edition. I enjoy your comments on photography even though I'm not good at taking photos. Your information helps me learn. It's also very interesting to hear the back-story on some of the catalog photos. I just watched this episode and I'm already looking forward to the next one!

It's not that hard to produce 6 hours of video per year for the show once you get a process in place. it seems to cost 2 to 3 hundred dollars per show and 40 to 60 hours or so for each 30 minute presentation. with so many projects going on its easy to choose when to pull out the camera for a 6 minute segment on this or that. It's fun too!

Ken, that liftout is inspirational! I've seen so many versions of this, each one more complex than the last. Yours is pure art, in its simplicity! I can't wait to try this myself.
Can you also do a piece on those of us with more simple D-SLR's? The less functional than your pro rig? I.E., I've got a middle of the road Nikon, that doesn't have adjustments for f-stop, aperture, or fine exposure time...
