Yep:)!!
@@mercedesmaintenance.6339 yes it is 100%. Must be the 6.3 tho...🙃
Agreed. I have a 6.9 and although it’s not the original it’s great too

This is a message to all The People those put a Mercedes-Benz on a graveyard buy a bicycle you all don't deserve a Mercedes-Benz you all got no respect for The best car in The world, aha know what walk!!!!!
It is real sad when this happens.
@@mercedesmaintenance.6339i know Mercedes maintenance but some People don't (fu.k me)!!!!!.im mf pissed!!!!!
When you think what these cost back in the day, and to see how they end up now, literally driven to a dumping ground, and left to rot. Mankind's vanity.
Totally agree, a throw away society. That's why I love these cars almost infinitely rebuildable. Cheers John.
I am not a nitpick but you should tell its Cylinders and litres . I had one 300 SEL 6.9 customized. It was before 450 SEL 6.9. V8. My first was a 190 in 1962, the last MB 600 / 1993 that I sold in 1996 and bought a Volvo V70 XC. When MB bought Chrysler, they started using its parts, degrading MB. Now it is just a car. In 2003, I bought a BMW 750il V12 (E38), 1998, a fully loaded Dealer's Demo with Double Glazed windows and the rest. I use it for my European Travel, yes, on German Autobahn, it does show its mettle. They are becoming rarer and rarer, especially with low mileage. Grab one if you find one. It is also a good investment.
I am about to go on a binge watching spree. This is the only car content i need in life
Thank you Angelo. hope you enjoy. Lots more to come in the New Year. Cheers John.

Big Score, for sure. Never thought I would have the opportunity to own one.
Best wishes from Sweden! Thank you for saving these cars. It’ll be interesting to follow your channel, love your work.🙏👍👏👏👏🏆
The Green 3.5 ended up being shipped to Sweden. A young guy is going to restore it. When I get more info on it I'll post up. Thanks for watching John.
I am always fascinated with those older Mercedes Benz. The built quality was well ahead of its time.
It sure was.
One of the best cars ever made and I had try three of Mercedes in the 8⁰s I had 1979 3.5 v8
And in 1985 I had 280se
And 1995 I had 320 s
It's a strong car on roads on high speeds
What a sad state of affairs for all those lovely Mercs to be in 😭😭
Wish they were in the UK.
I remember as a teenager (19) back in the '70s, I went to a Mercedes-Benz sales day at a big country house in Perthshire, Scotland hosted by Dicksons of Perth, the Mercedes main agents.
My old farmer friend had purchased a new W116 450SEL from them and was invited to the bash.
As I was his unofficial chauffeur and he was there to see the 'new' 6.9, I was entrusted with the job of test driving the 6.9 for him.
After a leisurely drive for around 10 miles into the countryside, the salesman told me to 'open her up to see what it's capable of'.
Well, I didn't need told twice and floored it from standstill up a straight stretch of road and boy, it was like a rocket ship!!
I still have all the photos of that fantastic day out with the farmer and my dad, great memories.
Thsnks for sharing, SUBSCRIBED
👍👍
PS The 'bonnet' is the 'Hood' in US speak, the 'Trunk' is the boot😁
What a great memory. Driving a 6.9 in the countryside of Scotland would be magical. It is sad that they ended up being so neglected. Bonnet/ hood etc. I know:) I've been here so long now my terminology gets confused sometimes:)
Cheers John
My fav car in all the world.
That "weird looking thins" is a Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk. '63 or '64. Back in the day Studebaker was the "authorized distributor" for Mercedes Benz.
Also a classic, lots of parts worth saving for the rather large amount of survivors
I agree the 6.3’s look better with the hubcaps. It will be fun to watch as I’ve restored a w126 coupe and a 1955 Ponton .
I especially like the earlier dog dish style hubcaps.
Nice cars
That's me subbed, love these big old Benz. All of them from the W126 back are some of the coolest barges.
Same here, can't get enough of them.:)
You're done an amazing job there on videos it's a shame to see these vehicles as they are fantastic machines it's very sad to see them here!! It makes me very sad please keep your videos coming you are doing an amazing keep it up sir👍🙏

El dar-ül wonderfull video take two one
Have just subscribed . Thanks for a very enjoyable first vid.. I appreciated your common sense and realism. When I was ten or eleven years old my best friend's dad had a 280SE, which as a car mad youngster ( but no specialist knowledge) even I knew was a very special purist's joy, substantially better quality than my dad's Austin 3 litre, good tho that was in many ways. Looking at some of the comments below the brilliance of these cars in their day could cost a restorer a fortune to relive in parts alone, but I reckon you have your plans. Can't wait to learn how you fare - good luck!
Thank you Matthew for your comment. There is a lot of work to do. But its very enjoyable and I'm learning so much as I progress. Some parts can be expensive, but thats all part of the job. In fact it can be a fun experience searching. In fact when I saved the green 3.5 (which is destined for Sweden ) while I was picking up the trailer i found 3 more w108's! Which i made a deal on. They'll have plenty of parts that I may need. Join us on our facebook groups Mercedes Maintenance and Mercedes Rescue. A great bunch with lots of enthusiasm. Thanks again. Cheers John.
what a wonderful find, which i could have gotten one of the 6.3
It really was an incredible find. I'm so happy we could save these cars, otherwise they would have rusted away in the forest.
The last of the great Mercedes graveyard, soo sad! 😢
It is sad that they were left like that. But all three 109s are saved. Plus one 6.9 so far.
What a sad video but great that you have found them
I'm going back up soon to get that last 109 3.5.
When you see so many cars in a graveyard, some cars can fix the 9thers and put them on the road again, instead of letting them rust away
It is so sad to see these beautiful wonderful Mercedes Benz is such bad condition.
I really love Mercedes Benz cars as they always kept there characters
All 109s have been saved. The green 3.5 was just delivered to its new owner in Sweden. Cheers John

In 1971, Australia's Ford Falcon XY GTHO Phase III 351/5.8 was fastest 4-door production car in the world.
Thank you. I took a look at that Ford Falcon. You're certainly right. It was a very close match up. I do believe the Falcon had a slight weight advantage, but very impressive. Cheers for the info. John
Hopefully we see a video soon, rescuing a few of these cars...

I have driven a 6.3 and man they have some power ,also have a 4 Spd auto gearbox
I can't wait:)
A few questions. Where are these cars? I have never seen such rust free MB's of that age which were not garage kept. Are these "gray market" cars? there are a few items rarely seen here, euro headlights and bumpers, velour interiors. I have to stretch my memory, but it does seem to me that many of the "big block" cars had the velour. Since it is seldom/never seen here, I assumed they were "gray market" (there is a term from antiquity).
le sauvetage bravo
Hello, I'm from afar and I wonder how much such a car costs if I want to take it to overhaul? Or is it abandoned for free? If so ..... then it is a sin :) Anyway, thank you for the answer
It all depends on how much you are willing to undertake. It Can get extremely expensive if you have someone restore it for you. That's why I have to do most of the work myself. Cheers John.
@@mercedesmaintenance.6339 Yes, I understand that the reconstruction will be expensive and it is best to do everything yourself. But I'm more interested in if I can take the car for free from the forest ?? Is it abandoned and free? You won't find anything like that in the forest "unfortunately" :( It's just too sad, such jewels
Mercedes are the best to drive but just to expensive to maintain.
I have a vintage Mercedes (1971 280 SEL half-year car with a big block 4.5.) that I am planing on restoring in the near future. Do you have a website with contact information?

Saving all these Benz cars and putting them back on the road or showrooms somehow is the only way for Mercedes Benz to shore up it's languishing brand name and recognition....same for BMW.
Yes. I'm not a fan of the modern Mercedes. Cheers John

You have a big graveyard of Mercedes (100+ cars, mostly from eighties) in Pearblossom CA.
This is Rt138(Pearblossom Hwy) and 125 E Str. faceing Post Office.
I'm OTR truck driver from NY, and I've drove by, many times.
Lots of disposable Income or a sugar Daddy is needed to deal with the notoriously expensive 6.3
( hydraulics in particular )repairs awaiting .Not surprised they were abandoned in the Woods !
The W109 does not use hydraulics in the suspension. Its a pneumatic air suspension system. It is complex, but once repaired is reliable. Im well aware of the expense to get it up and running again. I'd much rather put the money into getting this car back on the road than spend thousands on a soulless, modern, plastic ice cream tub.
Sorry ,its the 600 with the same engine I was thinking of . Off course do it yourself repairs are an advantage.... Nevertheless .. sincere best wishes with your project .

The w109's certainly are. There a couple of the 6.9s that are savable but unfortunately the rest are to far gone.
I just cannot understand why would just leave a full car like that 6.9 in the forest to rot...especially in america where everyone's got a garage
The 6.9 in the seventy was the strongest car in roads and really the best looking cars design 👌 and the most expensive one

Hi. One of the 6 9s was relocated. There are still some left. Two are way beyond help, one they are going to keep. The other two. 6.9 and the white 450sel are still for sale. What an automobile tragedy to see this collection.
What kind of person collected these and stored them in such a haphazard fashion. Bar you parked them on a beach you couldn’t store them in a worse fashion.
Such a shame that most of these will just end up in a crusher eventually. The longer they sit where they are and slowly deteriorate the less likely anyone is going to take them for restoration.
Those 6.9’s in a fully restored condition are worth a lot of money. Unfortunately as the years pass it will become next to impossible to restore them due to lack of parts and lack of knowledge on how to restore them.
