MERCEDES Car GRAVEYARD, 300SL | Would you rescue them - left 24 years - Could It Be Saved?
VloĆŸit
- Äas pĆidĂĄn 22. 06. 2023
- Hello & welcome to a new episode.
In this week's episode i head to a location that i had previously visited a couple years back, The reason for the revisit is purely out of curiosity, I wanted to see if in fact these poor classic Mercedes-Benz had been rescued or if they were living out their fate still in the dirt, Well what can i say, yes they are still there still collecting rust and still untouched and unloved, Its such a shame that us as human beings can be so wasteful, its just something we are so used to, over consumption CONSUMING everything in our paths, When all we need is to look after our things, then we wouldn't find classic cars left like this, I know not your car not your problem? Well if classic cars weren't dumped like this and most were still on the road then there wouldn't be an over inflation on every classic retro car, Than at least normal people would be able to afford to buy one,
Just saying...

BIG UP TO THIS MAN... probably the best explorer in the UK..... what you see is what you get đŻ real character, great merc and very rare yellow trabant.
Here in Holland is trabant not rare
@@realgenerallee01Not many made it here to the UK, I expect theyâre more common in mainland Europe.
This man puts out quality videos week after week, haven't missed one yet, thank you stokze for the brilliant uploads and the milage you cover for your audience.đđ
Hello again from Australia. Getting pretty fancy with that intro đ Nice work as always. Yellow car is a Trabant. Looking forward to the next Stokze episode as always.
Another great video Stokze đ that little yellow car with the tiny engine is a Trabant, love that blue Merc, the stacked headlights are such a cool look đ
Absolutely brilliant video stokzey â€ïž đ what a shame for those beautiful mercs brilliant
Put a Smile on my face 4:04 đ
Got me good BTW stu loving the new intro
The litte yellow car is a Trabant of course. They were the east German Volkswagens, mass produced, but with many years for waiting time before you got one. These cars were hopelessly outdated at the end of production. After the collapse of the G.D.R. people sometimes gave them away for almost nothing or just abandonded them. That was about 30 years ago, and by now they have become collectibles with a solid fan base.
The two beautiful Borgward Isabellas you covered are legendary cars of West Germany. They have become classics decades ago.
borgward hansa! Nice finds ! The 2 door wagon is a unicorn !
Nice one. Like the intro. 2 classic mercs there and the East German lurking in the corner, brilliant.
Last V5 on that Blue Mercedes was 1988!! Last taxed in 1996, ran out in June 1997!! Another corking video Stu, love the old Merc's, just something about them.
Good afternoon STOKZE, just to say that the heat is really horrible today and that I always enjoy your vids on you-tube, as I for 1 have always appreciated a really great classic cars and you my friend have certainly found some beautyâs on your travels, that in my opinion should be saved so that the younger generation can see PROPER cars and not all these cars of today that look so much alike and until next time TaRa for a bit.
Morning stu that yellow car is called a trabant it's 2 stroke it's Aaron who messaged you the classic range the other day amazing video as always
Morning stokzeeeeee.... class content đ
Another banging one stu always look forward to chilling out watching your content, definitely loving the new intros at the start and the banging bass lines, keep it up mate great job. đ§ą
Great recording again Stu love those Mercedes keep up the good work m8
Best thing about these cars is they dont need mot an tax. New battery, new fuel an away we go. Could you imagine
The yellow one was a Trabant 601, one of the most famous german cars. The estate is an extremely rare Borgward Isabella estate. That's one nice find. Actually better than the Benzes
Love the video and that your so happy it put a smile on my face
Nice intro đđđ have a nice weekend.
Great explore as always. Damn shame about the old mercs. That yellow car beside them is a Trabant , the Borgward would have been.rare outside Germany.
On another note congratulations on the well deserved coverage you are getting in at least one UK national paper. Goes to show hard work abd perseverance works.
Morning fella, always entertaining stu, cheers and really hope you're meet and greet goes well for you and you get a good turnout sure you will, đđ

Great video once again stokze. Keep up the good work, pal.
There were some absolute gems of classic cars there. I wish cars like these could be saved and given the love and care they deserve. The Borgward cars are a rare sight in the UK. The wee yellow Trabant looked saveable too. A fantastic explore.
Lights camera action very professional at the beginning your one in a million love your channel stu.
Fantastic location đ€© all those Mercedes!!! Thank you for climbing through stinging nettles, getting bitten and fried by the sun - all to bring us this great video. đđ

The yellow little car is a trabant. U2 used a trabant for the album one.
The thirth car, the yellow one. Is a Trabant 601. The borgward Isabella is a rare find. Thanks for an other great video
This I trouble is pure quality not even gon into video yet and already love it
Once again great content, shame about those two Mercedes
Nobody else goes to so much effort as to walk through a load of nettles like that.Respect .. That little yellow car is an east german car called a Trabant very rare and they still have a following even now. Borgward are also very rare and those two sadly shouldn't
Be there .These new intro's are cool đ .Nice one looking forward to the next one.
Well said Stu bends over backwards to bring us great content, He's a Legend đđđŹđ§
Awesome video stokzey max respect bro đđ
Slick new opening credits mate!
That classic estate at the end looked like a British ECTO 1 from Ghostbusters! đ
The 500 sl Mercedes I would buy in a heart beat it's reasonably good shape plus it even had the original key still on the ignition that one might have even been meant for you to give a home
It is such a pity about all those old benders in the field đđ

Always a good way to start the day, with a Stokze video đč
Great entro I really appreciate the videos I †the passion you have for preserving and circumventing vehicles keep going.
When you love what you do
Cracking vid, love these old Mercs. I'm pretty sure the first merc you sat in is a convertable with a hard top on. BTW, are you immune to nettle stings? đ
Haha yes very, i've gone through that many that its natural now haha, And yes it may of actually had an hard top in all honesty.
Sorry I missed your video this morning having 20 minutes now, bloody getting married itâs such a long day đ€Łđ€Ł
Best of luck with everything going forward on the channel đđđ
Another great video Stu really appreciate it, Get yourself a Neck Fan they are awesome you were sweating like crazy it's so hot đ„” out there keep hydrated Buddy,đđđŹđ§
Brilliant video bro
Another great video stu, keep up the good work
The right hand drive borgward first registered in October 1959 comes up as sorn and last V5C was issued on 13th August 2012
Hello,
The quality of the interior fittings( seats, doors, dashboard )
of these unfortunate Mercedes is
impressive ...
The cobwebs apart ,there is nothing to suggest that you are installed inside derelict cars exposed to the weather for ages .
Exclusive Footage as Usual !!
Like you stu it pains me to see old cars I grew up with just rotting away so sad
Great video, such a shame those cars continue to waste.
Are you nettleproof? Something about how you brush the nettles away with your hand makes me queasy! đ
Love the new introâ Stokze
Thanks again fella
Another great video đas always matey
Stu, my random thoughts on conclusion of this episode: (1) as shown from @ 19:00 you have very good teeth; (2) you affectionately remind me of the Mario Brothers; (3) maybe you might do videos on native UK vegetation, the botanists' among us would enjoy. Keep safe and continue with output.
Mario Brothers đ I see it though đ€Ł
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł Love it, thank you so much haha, Mario Bros ffs pure class
I know someone with a Mercedes thatâs absolutely needs some serious love and attention and another thatâs absolutely mint
Another great video mate keep them coming
Trabant, never seen one in yellow even though Iâm from Hungary and I grew up on driving these little things
Nice intro proper smart đđ»
Just keep been you bud
đȘđâ€ïž
Haters will hate... nothing better in their lives to do.
It is so sad to see to see all them cars rotting away
Enjoyed the vedio mate
World class content as usual Stu. Hate to see dead Benzes, but you can't save them all brother! Car meet sounds great, can you turn up on the day or do you need a ticket?
Great new intro đ
Morning stu great video mate đ I am have gotta have a look at the dates for the meet up to see If my partner is working that weekend and I will let you no mate đ
The second car you explored is a very sad looking little Mercedes wasn't it đą
Good find, crazy leaving the yello merc outside, isnt it holding up well
Haha mid 20âs heatâŠ. Try walking a mile and a half in summer when you live in Australia.
This video hurts me a lot. Especially with the Mercedes /8 Coupe. It is also a very rare 280CE (twin camshaft 185hp) from the first series, with smooth taillights, the large radiator bung and still the mirrors mounted on the door panels. My father bought the 1969 /8 250CE coupe brand new. He was white, with gray leather, automatic and electr. Sunroof. When he sold the car in 1980, I had tears in my eyes. The next was a new W123, 300D. I didn't like that! The yellow 350SL/450SL will be one of the first, probably still with the rare 3.5L V8 (later only with 3.8L) or a 4.5L V8. The hardtop for it cost a lot back then! The other small yellow car is a Trabant from the German Democratic Republic (DDR/GDR). But the two Borgward are very sought after in Germany. They were very luxurious back then. At that time BMW was broke and Borgward needed loans to continue building. The "Deutsche Bank" gave BMW the loans and Borgward had to close. Borgward cars (plus Lloyd and Hansa) were way above BMW!
What you discovered there is sheer madness!
Thanks!
cheeRS
Klaus from DĂŒsseldorf
Thanks for the information, I remember stokesy finding these borgwards a few years back and thought how stylish they was , I would imagine they are very rare these days đđđ
đ§here's a wrench, rescue some parts!
Well why don't you do something about it and start rescuing these old Ars it's about time these old cars should be rescued and preserved back into their excellent condition let's bring them home and restore them it would be a brilliant video and excellent content
Colin dig , I think , quite rightly so bro ,Iâd like to think you guys made up .
Awesome that little yellow car is a Daf 44 Variomatic.
Trabant
Stikze great video the borgward estate is rare only 4 left on the road in the uk I would love to rescue that it looks amazing đ€
That 300sl has an amaizing color combination, interior is in very good condition. But rust... too much rust in this car, not worth the job in my opinion. If only owner at least covered the car... what a shame.
Happy days dude crack on đđ»
