Some more Elevonic 401s bite the dust.….*sigh*
Best way to sum this video up is that the first half of the video focuses on the Original Otis Series 1 Elevonic 401s which ElementElevators, who deleted his channel filmed, are now sadly being defeated by the Florida Codes. These run just fine and have VERY NICE Bronze style Older Series 1 COPs and paneling, call stations and lanterns and like I said, run like they are BRAND NEW, and are in EXCELLENT SHAPE, and have the Elevonic 401 call recognition but not the floor passing chime. There is a chance these could either be 401 or 411 being this building was built in 1989, but I'm going to go with 401. There are 4 elevators in the bank, 2 scenic, and 2 internal. The Original Scenic elevator with the original Series 1 fixtures and Elevonic 401 system reminds me a LOT of 2 Eaton Harbour Centre, but with Bronze paneling, nicer cabs, no glass ceilings, and they are completely external offering BEAUTIFUL VIEWS of Downtown Sarasota. They are a LOT of fun, with EPIC Classic Leveling, BEAUTIFUL CABS AND FIXTURES, BEAUTIFUL Fixtures, the fun ride quality that Otis Elevonic systems have, etc.!!!!
I'm very glad I made it here just in time to enjoy the AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL Original Elevators here, as they are now being modernized, or should I say, raped or ruined, by an Unknown Generic Company with Cringeovation Prestige, which is what the second half of the video focuses on. These are getting Disgusting New Generic stainless steel panels and Innovation Prestige fixtures, call stations and lanterns, modern cabs, and judging by the fact these no longer Classic Level, Chime and how different these run, likely new motors and controllers. While they do thankfully still appear to go as fast as the originals, I don't like these anymore, I prefer the original elevators, and in terms of ride quality and fixtures, they are just Generic and Boring as all hell LOL. But that seems to be how typical Floridians, at least the Government here likes their elevators. Boring, Modded and done so with Cringeovation LOL. But thankfully I got here just in time before all of the originals were replaced with this junk.
That all being said, enjoy the video and FINAL RIDE of these BEAUTIFUL, Fast, and VERY NICE Scenic Otis Series 1 Elevonic 401 Elevators that offer BEAUTIFUL VIEWS of Sarasota, that are sadly being pointlessly replaced with Disgusting Generic Garbage featured at the end of the video.

i believe i rode these many years ago. there used to be a LOT of Series 1’s in Sarasota
When I was here today, everything except 1 of the glass elevators were modded. That 1 was in the process of being modded. There’s a possibility these are still on the original controllers. The service has also been modded, & the garage is still original.

Something else that I forgot to mention: these elevators (at least some of them) now have a voice. Even though I'm uploading the videos in my backlog in mostly chronological order, I'm planning on uploading my take of these from yesterday sometime tomorrow.

@@FloridianElevators I will check it out, I visited Florida in April and was able to film some of the elevators at a bunch of hotels, they are in my Florida Vacation Movie on my channel.
I was just here today. The mod is complete, and unfortunately the 401s are no more. The parking garage elevators are still original though (at least from the outside; I didn't film them.)

Most of these Elevonic 401 mods prove that most building owners decide to modernize their elevators simply because they don't like the idea of having old stuff in their building
