- While in Taiwan for the Giant TCR launch I popped along to the Taipei Cycle Show to see what cutting edge tech I could find. Quite a lot as it turns out

Those jockey wheels are absolutely brilliant
Most cringe mod getting around
Wow, that Yasujiro steel bike at the end melted my heart. We lost so much with the move to carbon, the art form, the slender beauty of classical frame, the gorgeous lugs. Work of art you can ride or hang on the wall. It would not look out of place in either case.
Veritasdivina you nailed it with pointing out that Yasujiro... wow!! Great catch!
Great coverage David, thanks! I'm looking forward to seeing more about that TRP shifter
Hi David
Great video as always. Good to see the latest tech on the market love the steel road bikes 🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️.
Enjoy the bike show 🙂👍
That steel bike was sweet
I could watch this for hours.
Great video David. Love your channel.
Much appreciated!
Congratulations this was very report 👍👍👍👍🇦🇹✌️
Great coverage
I missed most things at this show because I was back in the section with lugged steel frames and downtube shifters
Everything I have had on my bikes from TRP has been top quality, so bring on their groupset.
I like the titanium forks and the Microshift mechanical. Would make a great combination in my opinion.
Shoutout idol Adamarah waynetotz
Hope you can do a review on the Microshift Sword groupset. There's currently too few of them.

last bike was the best,
I bought MicroShift Sword brifters to replace the AdventX brifters on my Poseidon Redwood. The right-hand AdventX brifters has a shift cable that sticks out the side, but the Sword brifters doesn’t, enabling me to mount a full-sized Ortlieb handlebar bag. The hoods feel good but I’m not crazy about the way the shift levers freely move backward and forward during a shift. I’d prefer they only be able to move in and out.
Great video, David! I think carbon is overrated for 85 percent of cyclists...but. Why should I choose titanium over classy and modern steel? Stiffness/ torsion? The weight diffs are minimal. Looking forward to the next Taipei report!😊
9:25 that's the kinda e road bike I would like, but only if the speed limit is like 100 🤣
'aero' counter = ♾
Timestamp 5:06 “Maximum Marginal Gains” lol
Cool ti bikes! That 3D printed ti drop bar looks nice. How about that 3D printed fork!?
3D printing tech is getting insane! Pretty soon you'll just be able to scan yourself with an app and order a fully custom 3D printed bike!
The cycling market is expanding fast across the world with many a choice of brand & radical designs
Good if it's sustainable & reliable out spinning the wind
I own a Giant bike and it is a boring brand with dull bland colours. I’d love to see them release paint jobs like those at the show!
Those elaborate lugs on the Yasujiro are sick! Can you say Hetchins or Arabesque?!?
Very nice the ti bike at the beginning of the video, can you share the company name?
At 1:00, what about those WILD wheels from Aura Engineering? Brilliant spoke design!
You missed out on the wireless campa on the trigon….
Will you go to the Shanghai bike show?
Hey David, what brand are the after market disc brake calipers in the various colours for SRAM?
They are Juin Tech brakes, which is strangely lumped together when talking about the L-Two groupset. They deserves a proper intro on their own, 6 pistons!
I think they are a chinese brand called Juin Tech.
@@DaviCupraYes, it is Juin-Tech.
the day can't come soon enuff where we never hear the phrase 'marginal gains' ever again
I might be getting old, as the nicest bike seems to be the retro one at the end... though the printed Ti stuff also looks the mutts nuts.
Was this shot on a gopro or something equally as nasty? We want to see the bikes but most of the time the camera is moving and the image is just a blur. With a better camera you can up the iso which allows you to increase the shutter speed without losing brightness. Then the increased shutter speed gives clearer images when moving.
Sony A7S3 - the light in these shows is always shockingly bad
maximum marginal gains, that's what I'm after! :)
why oooohhhh WHY...were there NO FUNCTIONAL bicycles displayed? or where there, and this presenter didn't think them "cool" enough? Mannn...its time to make real-world FUNCTIONALITY a Priority, kids. Or...is that the venue of the massive electric "bicycle" revolution coming on!!?? [ the YT-ad following this vid was from MOKWHEEL, haaa]
3d printing is trash
Just for a laugh ask them if they are looking forward to China taking over 🤣
What were the bogs like David?
Trigon bike look the size of these Campagnolo super record groupset so ugly its huge looks like a wardrobe lol
