In this Filipino car review, we take the 2024 Volkswagen Tharu out for a weeklong drive to see how well it performs on the road. The 2024 VW Tharu goes up against the likes of the Ford Territory, the Toyota Corolla Cross, and the Honda HRV. While the 2024 Volkswagen Tharu commands a more premium price over the other contenders, it gives a more engaging drive experience than the other crossovers out there. However, with other compact crossovers offering hybrid power trains for the same price, like the Nissan Kicks VL or the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid, the Volkswagen Tharu has an uphill battle ahead. Disaster, volkswagen is well known brands in the worlds. It has plenty luxury models such as tiguan, toureg, cc, passat. But to the Philippines they import only cheap useless model. So sad 😞 .

Its about size and value, since VW only wants to sell ASEAN factories cars in developing Asian countries to avoid any tariffs. That means Chinese made cars and models for that market. The Tiguan, Toureg, and the like aren't worth the 40% tariff to import.
