There's the highly sought after 40686 Droid Carrier promo set that requires a $160 purchase and then there's everything else to be frank. Exactly 30$ of VIL points just from the gunship is insane! Definitely glad I waited for it (assuming it stays in stock)
The gunship will be $112 with the $28 of vip points you'll save that's basically the price of the AT-TE from Walmart and target. Plus I'm 100% convinced that the gunship will go on sale to $112 in the future just like the AT-TE so if you want to get gunship early and on it's future sale now is the time

I have found that in store you will get the promo as long as you are within a dollar of the threshold, and you usually don't even need to rely on the good graces of the employees

love the content, been watching for a couple of years. I noticed that the Darth Maul bust behind you is missing some horns on the left, but then I realized that it might be glare from your lights. Maybe repositioning your lights will help reduce that- if it's even something you care about lol

We got so lucky of may 5th last year and snagged the last promo items in the store in our city! They actually told us they didnt have any left when we got to the cash, but the smile on the employees face when she came back and told us how lucky we were was a amazing!

Finally, I've waited so long for the Ghost to be on sale. That being said, the Emperor's Throne Room diorama has already been on sale on Amazon for $80 for over a month now so very generous of Lego to bring it down to $85 lol

My lego combo I did was Mos espa pod race scene and darth maul sith infutrator with comander cody brickheadz. But I decided to get the BARC speeder escape set also so i got all 3 promos this year

I just bought the ghost 3 weeks ago, mostly because I knew it would be sold out if I bought it during the may the fourth sale. I think I did a good job, but still, 30 dollars is 30 dollars.
Glad I wasn't planning on buying an R2-D2 or Falcon for this May the 4th lol. This will be the first time for May 4th I want to make multiple purchases of $160+ so I hope they stack.. interesting fine print you found. 👀
Our local Walmart in Roanoke VA, has already shelved some of the May Star Wars releases as of April 20th. DROIDEKA, and the PODRACE sets are out.

I don't know how it is where you are from but over here (EU) i can consistently find these large Lego sets cheaper in other retailers and online than in the Lego store. That's WITH double VIP points and everything included.
LEGO's VIP points is also not a true discount cause all it gives you is points towards another purchase at their stores (where everything is more expensive than other stores)

You should’ve mentioned Coruscant guard gunship+clone trooper vs droid battlepack will also get you the droid carrier. I’d do that if you don’t have either yet or just want to expand the army
I plan on making two purchases, 1 in store and 1 online; looking at picking up the Tantive IV and Millennium Falcon ships collections in one purchase; both of those will put you at the $160 mark. Then the Shin Hati set, since I haven't picked that up yet, and the Phantom Menace and Commander Cody Brickheadz.

Man I'm being BLESSED all of my sets are getting bonus vip points (shin hatis starfighter vs new republic e wing) AND 30 bucks of the ghost? Score!
Been waiting for this to get my UCS Venator and I got to say I'm not as disappointed about the vip points as I am the promo sets. Don't get me wrong they're nice sets but last year I was so excited about the Mini death star, its such a nice display piece to have on my desk, but this year to spend $650 for a set that's not on sale and the promos are a mini tank(which I am excited about) and a simple droid carrier that has no minifigures other than the droid I already have 50 of that should have just been an army builder set.
honestly one of the best buying combos in my opinion is the gunship and the clone and droid battle pack

I was planning for the perfect time to get an AT-TE, I thought with the droid carrier as GWP the time had come. Then I see : no quadriple VIP points, no double VIP points, no discount 😐🤬💀

Even though I quite like the promo this year I have decided to not buy anything for may 4th because I want to buy Barad-dûr day one on June 1st. It will probably become my favorite Lego set of all time. I just can't wait for that set haha.
I decided I wanted the Interceptor so ordered that and it put me over the threshold for all 3 gifts. Which was nice. Got double points so used the discount against the Invisible Hand and got it for nearly half price

I noticed that in the minifigure art there is old Gregor and he had light nougut skin like the new clones but he didn't orginally have that, so maybe we'll be getting an updated Rex's AT-TE or new Rebels sets.

Video idea. An updated buildable characters worst to first. The last one was like 2 years ago. I'm not talking about the Buildable figures, but like the Droideka that just came out. The ones that come with a UCS style plaque.

Lego didn't do the 4x points, they offered money off the products that were meant to have the 4x points - so I got £145 off the AT AT - which (I think) is a better deal financially than points.

The atat is actually huge. I was gonna buy it when the school semester ended but it looks like ill have to buy it a bit early.
I have been wanting to get the X-Wing for a while now, I guess this is the time with all the promos + 4x VIP points.
I would suggest waiting till morning. Forgot what I was after but stayed up till 11pm CST to make sure I’d get the promo but couldn’t get through on website. In the morning was able to login no problem place my order and get GWP without any issues.
Do I need Lego VIP to get the droid carrier and also when the UCS Tie Intercepter releases is it going to be out of stock quickly?
Its nice. I work for LEGO in Billund, but we don’t get the GWP in store, so we have to use our discount code online, witch eliminates the possibility to get the Insides poster (and another secret)
The Venator came out when I was deployed overseas, I have been waiting to get it until May 4th to maximize my earnings. Excluding the UCS Venator is a HUGE bummer.

Sometimes the LEGO girt with purchase sets are available on Amazon for a short time. I saw it last year with the mini Death Star.
