Fun fact: Dr. Evazan was actually intended to be in Lego star wars: The Complete Saga as a playable character but was cut. However he is still in the files and can be played through mods. In that version of him he had a unique head mold to represent his disfigured face but I guess that version is better off being replaced by the standard minifigure head.
Doctor Evasan and Ponda Baba have their pieces in the customizer so they can be easily added

This is my favorite lego Star Wars set of all time. Unfortunately when I ordered it on Amazon the box was absolutely destroyed... luckily nothing on the inside was broken or missing.
I send them back and reorder until Amazon gets it right. Eventually they do 😂 They once sent me a box in a flimsy plastic shipping envelope. One can easily imagine the special condition that box arrived in. (Of course if the set is sold out, then things are, in the least, more complicated.)

What’s the point of even having the head swivel? That’s not that important. With the new stormtrooper helmets, which are trash, the head can’t even turn so I think that’s more important than a R2-d2

When looking at the blueprint thing for the Mos Eisley cantina's exterior it's actually really surprising how accurate this set is.
Even the open roof is accurate.
(Meaning that wasn't a shortcut taken by Lego)

Never expected the Obi Wan hut to connect at all. It was so far away that the phrase "Wretched hive of scum and villainy" is delivered on the way to the Mos Eisley, standing on a cliff, with the space port being visibly miles away.
And as I said at the time, and as I repeat today, I don't think it's a coincidence at all that Obi Wan's hut had 4 weapons included, and had 4 clips on the back

Took me about 10 seconds to look at Bens home and connect it to the Mos Eisley set..super simple...and YES, those connectors will come in handy IF you're creative

Almost all of the characters (minus the greedo) are more than fine. Honestly, most of these characters are more than good enough and look amazing. Most people aren’t going to buy almost every single lego set.

Really do love this set. In addition to Luke’s land speeder You can easily add in more stormtroopers plus small vehicles to add in some life to this set.

Just started building it yesterday and I'm already crazy in love with this set !:) I'm 35 and treat lego as stress relief and boy oh boy, this is doing the job :) will add Luke's landspeeder (my first ever lego set that I bought a month ago :p ) and will hunt for additional sandtroopers, jawas and maybe second dewback -will look great in ikea display cabinet or something like that :) and - great review, like the rest of your videos, fun to watch:)
Very nice modeling, demonstration and critique of the cantina.
This seems like something a fan would make in a good way, although we didn’t get our gunship this year it was well worth it too see this amazing build with some stand out figures. I understand there are some flaws but I really do think Lego did a great job with this!

Dark side bricks yup, the skin color on the horn man is inaccurate as well. Also why in the world did they not includ dual molded legs for Han and arm printing for greedo. Also Hans torso print is actually wrong, the black vest he is wearing is the episode 6 version with an extra pocket on the top left and the shirt has a more fitting collar. Episode 4 Han doesn’t have that pocket and he is showing more chest, the shirt collar fold is different.

The box says "Cargo." The sign over the door says "Cantina." And that is a wanted poster that says, you guessed it: "Wanted." Great review. Oh, and the language is Aurebesh.

I actually think this could be a great display set - setting up the cantina and adjacent structures with upwards of 21 minifigures would make for a really lively diorama.
What's weird about Lego's eternal inability to print a Han Solo torso correctly is that their Poe Dameron from a couple years ago, in the black jacket with the light undershirt, had zero issues. The skin tone matched and the undershirt looked good. So... what gives?

Great review looks like a brilliant set. The poster with R2-D2 and C-3PO says wanted in aurebesh which is a nod to the movie when the storm troopers are looking for them because R2 has the death star plans, which I think is a nice attention to detail. Great video xx

This is such a breath of fresh air for Lego star wars sets it's so fun and feels so different from getting ships and bases idk I love this set
Lego should put some sand printing on C-3PO and R2-D2 for their Tatooine versions. That would make it seem a little more realistic.
There's also a V35 (or at least a similar model) in Uncle Owens Farm in the room where Luke sees Leia's message for the first time

I love that Ithorian minifigure. They’re one of my favorite Star Wars aliens. They always reminded me of hammerhead sharks. Which is my favorite kind of shark.
In the steam yesterday I told you that in my country we are just getting the solo sets and you were rightfully confused so I wanted to give more explanation I live on Bolivia and there are no official LEGO Stores so the only way to get sets is to wait for a store to bring them we also don’t have the normal stores that sells LEGO like target or Walmart so we in Bolivia have to wait until an independent toy store imports the sets into the country

Good review. I was originally going to harvest this set for parts and figures to build a Rebrickable MOC version. But after seeing this, I think I will keep the set as is and append the two older Cantina sets to serve as neighboring structures, and additionally, attach the Rebrickable MOC spaceport to fill the larger Mos Eisley set.
I'm a little upset that they included Kabe and no Muftak.
And I know they wouldn't include her, but I want an Ackmena. She's the nighttime bartender that appeared in the Holiday Special. If I'm able to get this set, I'm customizing her to put behind the counter.

a new hope has always been my favourite movie of all time, empire is great, and return of the jedi is awesome but a new hope is a masterpiece, and the cantina scene, from start to finish, has me feeling like a little kid every time, the magic of the world building and set design, this set is 100% joining the sandcrawler as the crown jewel of my collection.
