Me I’m brand new !😱😍thank you for sharing your knowledge !😍
Could you hear me yelling when you used the egg carton? “Oh, my gosh! That is sooooooo clever and cute!” I burnt my scrambled eggs due to not being able to keep my eyes off your process! Ha! Thanks for your inspiration and great ideas!
Literally watching paint dry is actually fun, it turns out!
The deli paper at my sams club is called dry wax paper, if that helps anyone looking for a different search term!
I am never live but I love your teaching and sharing style. Thank you
Oh man, I missed the live! Thankful for replays!
No worries Dawn, we'll get ya next time!!! Thanks for watching the replay!! 😘
Thanks for the great information and tips. Pay It Forward is one of my all time favorite movies!
So glad you got value from that Karen! Yes, was a great movie - stuck in my mind. 😘😍🎨
I love to start with a dirty plate! ❤️❤️❤️ great pulls.
Caught you on the replay girl! Love watching you working your magic. Great tips!
Awe, thanks chickie!!! Was so much fun. 😘😍🎨
Yes please landscapes. I haven't got my plates yet, still waiting. But landscapes would be absolutely perfect for what I want to do with this.
Hello Ingrid! You are a great teacher! I am still working on my layering techniques, and oh, what fun...and you have taught me so much. Your explanations help me very much!
The small blue pull made me think of a dark forest and moonlit water reflection! These are so cool!
Oh I love that perspective Heidi! Thanks for watching. 😘😍🎨
I have just ordered all my supplies. Anxiously waiting to get them. I love your video’s. Can’t wait to try.
Throughly enjoyed your video Ingrid. I used to watch you alot when you were working with Catherine Pooler and then I sort of lost track of you. I found you again when I was looking for something with gelatos I think it was and it directed me to your site. I am so glad it did. I enjoy your techniques and proceses so much.
Hi Lori!! Welcome!! So glad to have you here. I'm glad you enjoy the videos. I need to break out my gelatos, it's been a while....lol. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. 😍😘🎨
Thanks so much. I’ve watched many of your videos and learned
Oh that's so awesome Barbara! I'm so glad they've helped. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. 😘😍🎨
@@IngridBlackburn I love your videos. I am an artist (acrylic) and a professional photographer. I’m using what I learn from you as background for some of my paintings and pen and ink drawings.
Thank you thank you
Hello. I just found your channel and have subscribed. I love your simplistic and thorough style. I use a lot of Elizabeth St Hilaire stencils and masks. She is fabulous and I love Joggles products! I will enjoy your tutorials!
You are so creative!! Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks chickie!!! I always appreciate you taking time out of your day to watch and comment.
😘😍🎨
After u said about the face i kept seeing a smiley face at the overlap of the tiles on the stencil print
I know, right...lol. It was too funny. Thanks for watching!!! 😍😘🎨
Oh, yes, I use my prints for making collages when making cards and in mixed media journal spreads.
Just found your channel. Ha! I was creating along with you the other day and didn't even know it.
Lol... I'm so glad! Thanks for watching Marci!! 😍😘🎨
Thank you! Do you have any advice for a newbie on how not to get those lines in the paint from the edge of the brayer?? Thanks so much!!
Missed it but thank you thank you for replaying
Always! SO glad you enjoyed this Dina! 😘😍🎨
That’s a parent saying I love you and love what your doing and would love to be a small part.
Hi. I caught your replay. I am new to the gel plate world. I love your idea of using the deli paper. My question is, what do you do with a finished piece of deli? Do you modge podge it on cardstock?
Jodi great question! I've been wondering how to use these prints on deli paper for cards. I'd love another video about making cards with these prints.
I'm planning one in a week. I love deli paper so much more cause it is more versatile than paper. Paper is great too, especially for cards...but limiting a little. I'm all about versatility, so sometimes I like options! Thanks for watching!!!😍😘🎨
PS...you got the scoop on next week's live first....lol!!! 😂
Thank you for another wonderful video. Quick question, what is the best way to ‘season’ a new plate so that inks don’t bead up on it?
Great question Barb. Unfortunately inks will always bead up on a gel plate. Anything that is high water base will. Inks like oxides will work better than traditional dye inks. Glad you enjoyed the video thanks for watching. 😍😘🎨

Sounds like fun!
lmao I think you might have forgotten how Pay It Forward ends
I learned so much today. I see you use heavy body acrylics, that’s cool. Some artists say only golden liquid acrylics. What do you think?
I always tell people to never restrict themselves from trying products. Anyone that tells you only this or that to me is trying to "sell" you something. I love certain products, but people like different things. There are LOTS of products out there that work for gelli printing. Golden liquid acrylics are certainly great, but they are expensive. I use a lot of heavy bodied acrylics, in addition to some fluids. It all depends on what you like too. I say, experiment with different kinds and find YOUR thing. :)
Which paints de you consider student versus artist brand?
Great question. Many brands have student grade paints and artist quality paints that are definitely more highly pigmented. When you see bigger art stores develop their own line of paints, rarely is it an artist quality - at least that I've found. Jerry's Artarama Soho brand is one that I use all the time. They are great quality paints, and perfect for gel printing, but not like say Senneliers artist level acrylics. Price will most definitely reflect that too. Hope that helped a little. If you're just getting into it, try Dick Blicks line, or Jerry's Artarama. Especially when they have a sale. You can nab several colors that way at sometimes 50%+ off.
Deli paper: is this the wax/dry wax paper that you are using?
Yes, it's the dry wax paper. Thanks for watching. :)
My gel plate came with bubbles in it. Is there a way to get rid of them. They come out on my projects and it’s kind of a bummer seeing how great some of my prints come out and then you have this bubble right smack where the most beautiful part of the print. I’ve gotten a larger one since but the smaller one is perfect for what I do. 11”x5.5”
Hi Kerry! I know exactly what you mean. How do you store it? Tell me precisely what you do, lay on it, etc. Also who is the manufacturer.
@@IngridBlackburn Hi Ingrid. I store it in one of Tim Holts metal containers for gel plates with the original covers it came with you know those plastic things that you take off. It is Ranger gel plate came with a 3 pack
@@kerryloper6142 start putting a piece of copy paper on both sides. It'll cloud, but still work perfectly fine. The reason you have bubbles is you're getting air bubbles between the surface and what it's touching. They'll smooth out over time. Lay your copy paper on it so you have a good bond between it and the plate. A gel plate will conform to shapes and things pressing to it. Give it a bit of time. If you have ranger plates, then good chance they're from China. So not as high quality as say gelli arts. But, this should fix your problem over time. If you ever feel your plates need to be reconditioned, use baby oil. You got this Kerry! Hope that helped. 😁😘🎨
@@IngridBlackburn thank you so much Ingrid. Appreciate your help.
@@kerryloper6142 absolutely! Anytime. Thanks for taking time to watch and be a part of the community Kerry! Have a great weekend. 😘
I would love to see an United States of America flag.
Spongebob Square pants. If you turn it upside down.
Totally! 😘😍🎨
