Knowing now that the Astros were cheating, it makes what the Dodgers were doing that much more impressive, taking them to 7 games. Unfortunately, they couldn't overcome it.
L.Pasteur 2017 Dodgers were one of the best Dodgers teams in franchise history. Everyone was their absolute best this year. Starting pitchers, bullpen, hitting, defense, all was phenomenal. Sadly this team is gonna be forgotten because they didn’t win the World Series. If the Astros never had cheated we would’ve gotten a Dodgers vs Yankees World Series probably more entertaining then this one.

It's so fucking annoying that we lost BOTH of the epic extra inning games.
Not to take anything away from Houston, they have an incredible team and deserved the WS, but the balls were juiced and they literally play in a little league stadium. How many times did we see a weakly hit ball go for a HR? I mean Puig hit a HR with one arm! Those two factors really benefitted the Astros power hitting style. Dodgers are a more balanced team, who grind ABs. As a biased Dodger fan, I think if this series is replayed again 10 times, Ddodgers win it 7/10 times. They objectively had the better team. Better SPs and better bullpen. Astros had a slight edge at htting but it wasn't by much. Either way, it was a great series between two of the best teams and I hope we see these two meet again in the WS

Watching dodgers rally in the ninth was such an awesome moment even if they did end up losing. This really showed what the 2017 Dodgers were all about. So many great moments came from this World Series and I’ll never forget them. Just know these Dodgers will come back hungrier and stronger in 2018. Go Dodgers!!!

When I watched them lose the series, I honestly cried. But now knowing they cheated, the sadness in me was just gone, it really just turned into anger.
I always felt like something was off with this game. I thought it was the strike zone of the ump, but come to find out it's the Astros cheating scandal. I remember thinking "how are the Astros constantly coming back" and now it's evident how. 2017 was the dodgers year with all the walk-offs, finally going past the NLCS, winning game 1 and seagers homerun which made game 2 look secured, jocs clutch postseason, and all to be ruined because of an organization that prides itself on purposely tanking for talent & cheating.
It was also the umpire's strike zone and calling Puig out on a foul ball. That shaved a few runs off of the Dodger total.
This game would have been a rout for the Dodgers without the sign stealing and umpire cheating.
I will always believe that the dodgers could have won that year, now we finally got a real championship again. Dodgers 2020 champs!!!

That season was so special to me it was the best dodger team in my life and the first dodger World Series in my life I still can’t believe there was no championship to go with it and I can’t believe how fast time goes it’s already been 2 years and it barely felt like we were there which is why I wanted them to make it back so bad but then they lost again

Pretty heartbreaking to watch this knowing that no matter how many times Dodger players came up clutch, they had no chance of winning this game. Knowing when fastballs were coming was such a huge advantage. wow.
yup. and also knowing when to lay off the curveball helped them too. this was the game Kershaw threw 51 curveballs, and the Asterisks didn't swing at one.

To now know that 40 curveballs and sliders were thrown this game by Kershaw and zero swing and misses by Astros hitters from those type of pitches is beyond pathetic. What that stat means is the whole Astros team was cheating!

2017 was the Dodgers' year. Broke the franchise record in wins, Kersh was not great, but was solid, and it was one of his last opportunities to finally get a ring, Bellinger developing into a star, Jansen was still lethal but was showing signs of decline. All of that broken apart due to the cheating Astros

The Astros would have scored just a few runs this game but had 12 through 9 innings because they stole signs. The Dodgers would have scored more than 12 if the umpire didn't start rigging the match in the 4th inning against Dodger hitters.
When Taylor eventually ties it at 12-12, the sound of silence from the Asterisks fans is beautiful. Stay silent, losers.

I thought perhaps after us winning our WS ring that I could come back to this and not be as angry or heartbroken for my loves on this team. I was wrong. I'm still angry and probably even more so because the truth is out about them being cheated out of the title that they rightfully deserve. Yasi's one handed homer, Barnesy legging out q double and CT's miracle hit are perfect examples of the unmatched heart and fire that this bunch had. Say what you will about the 2020 bunch, but the 2017 team is still my all time favorite one.
